Chapter 325 Who Would Instigate Her
Upon hearing this, Aaron's handsome face became serious.
"Nora, do whatever you want, I've got your back," he said with a deep look in his eyes that was affectionate and composed, offering a sense of security.
Nora felt warmth in her heart, "All right, it's decided then."
Aaron asked, "What's your plan?"
Nora gazed out the car window at the dazzling lights, "Aaron, isn't there a large club nearby?"
Aaron pondered for a moment, "Are you referring to the Hilton?"
Nora replied, "Yes."
Aaron remarked, "That belongs to the younger Turner heir."
Nora nodded and directed the driver, "Frederic, head over to the Hilton."
"Sure thing," Frederic obliged.
Back at the Ebenezer residence… The Hamilton family returned home to find Ebenezer with an unmistakably sullen expression.
‘The Moore family's little heiress was becoming less and less likable as she grew older. Not being able to make the Remington family's boy fall for her, she took her frustration out on Nora,’ he pondered.
Ebenezer spoke, "What was she thinking? Kenneth, have we been collaborating with the Moore family recently? If so, pause it for a moment, give the Moore family a little warning."
"Okay." Kenneth had the same idea.
After all, because of Luna Moore, his wife had gotten hurt. He had to stand up for her.
Suzy saw these two taking Nora's side, and jealousy filled her eyes. ‘They always stood up for Nora, why didn't they say that Nora was just a homewrecker?’ Just as she thought this, Emma spoke up.
"I have a good relationship with Mrs. Moore, and I've watched Luna grow up. Although she is a bit pampered and willful, she has never done anything outrageous. I don't think we can blame her entirely for today's incident. There must have been others who went too far and aggravated her," Emma rationalized.
Her words defended Luna Moore and hinted that Nora was flirting with Gary.
Suzy was secretly delighted, hoping that Emma would continue to slander Nora.
Ebenezer frowned and said, "Emma, don't imply that it's Nora's fault. I know her character well; she likes Aaron and is not fickle."
Hearing this, Emma scoffed, "You understand Nora? How long have you known her? Don't act so self-righteous!"
"You!" Ebenezer was choked up and couldn't respond to Emma's taunt.
Sandy quickly interjected, "Mom, Ms. Moore never did anything outrageous, but she suddenly did today. Maybe she was influenced by someone else."
Emma looked at her, "Who would influence her?"
Suzy, who had been feeling smug, felt a wave of anxiety when she heard Sandy's words, and quickly changed the subject.
"I know you and Nora are close, but stop speaking up for her. Mom, aren't you tired? Do I honestly have to marry Archer Remington?"
She was eager to divert the topic. Sandy was left with words in her throat, unspoken.
After all, there was no evidence to prove that it was Suzy who had instigated Luna Moore.
Emma's attention was diverted, and her tone softened a bit.
"I've already spoken with Mrs. Remington, we're just waiting for her to pick a good day to have you and Archer engaged," Emma remarked.
Suzy said, "But everyone says that Archer Remington likes men, and he's got an ambiguous relationship with the Turner family's young master."
Emma scolded, "Don't listen to people's nonsense. Haven't I told you? All those slanderous rumors about Archer must be fake news spread by business competitors."
‘If only that were true.’ That's what Suzy thought as she linked arms with Emma and headed upstairs.
"Well then, Mom, since we're getting engaged, I really can't bear to leave you," Suzy feigned vulnerability.
Emma responded, "Silly girl, we're all in the same city. If you miss me, just come back and spend more time with Mom."
"Of course, I'd love to live at home every day if I could," Suzy replied, sweetly.
Sandy was silent as she watched the two ascend the stairs, she touched the burnt mark on her skin and thinks of how Suzy is being so fake.
Whoever marries her is going to be unlucky. Oh, such a pity for Remington's eldest!
"Dad, Howard, let's go upstairs too."
Kenneth wrapped his arm around Sandy's slim waist and called out to the others.
Ebenezer nodded, and after the two went upstairs, he turned to Howard.
"Howard, you're not getting any younger. The Remington family is interested in setting you up with the girl they just acknowledged back into the family. Are you certainly not interested in marrying her?" he asked.
Howard quickly responded, "Dad, I'm not ready to get married."
"Not ready to get married you can start by dating, why not see where things go with Ms. Remington?" suggested Ebenezer.
Howard excused, "Dad, I have to get back to my research project in Houston tomorrow. I better go upstairs and get ready for bed. You should get some rest too."
What a joke. He had no intention of dating that ungrateful wildcat.
Best to make a quick exit!
Ebenezer watched his youngest son stride upstairs and shook his head with a smile.
His children's futures were nearly all settled.
But this youngest one hadn’t even gotten started! What kind of girl should he find for him?
Upstairs, in Kenneth' bedroom. He carefully inspected Sandy's arm, a wave of sympathy coursing through him.
"Does it hurt?" he asked.
"It's okay. Nora did some acupuncture for me, so it doesn't hurt much," Sandy replied.
Kenneth looked at her delicate, beautiful face and tenderly brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
"You..." He wanted to ask if Sandy recognized Zephyr, but the question was swallowed back down.
"What?" Sandy asked, her face a picture of curiosity.
Kenneth's hand moved down to hold hers. "You can't get your hand wet," he said, his tone conveying concern.
Was that what he wanted to say? Sandy nodded, understanding.
"Let's go." Kenneth took her hand and led her toward the bathroom.
"Where are we going?" Sandy asked.
"Shower!" He simply put it and added, "I'll help you."
Sandy's face flushed, her mind unavoidably drifting to images of charming mischief in the shower. She lowered her eyes and whispered, "I can use my other hand."
He remarked, "It's not easy to shower with your left hand."
She opposed, "It is easy."
"Hmm?" Kenneth pulled her into the bathroom, his voice authoritative but with a questioning lilt.
Sandy's head bowed even lower, she acquiesced softly, "Okay." She knew that he was using the bath as an excuse for playfulness!
Kenneth laughed, adoring her compliant and gentle demeanor. She was nothing like the arrogantly domineering heiresses he was accustomed to.
He lifted her chin and leaned in to kiss her. The temperature in the room slowly climbed as their breathing became more intense... and… you can imagine the rest…
On the other hand, Nora and Aaron returned to Quinn's villa after sorting everything out at the hospital.
At that time, Hollis and Mary were sitting in the living room. Seeing them return, Hollis said, "You're back, come have a drink and let's chat."
Nora smiled, "Mrs. Brown, we'll just go upstairs to change our clothes and then come down."
Hollis glanced at Aaron and said, "Okay, you come down too."
Doesn’t something seem different about her attitude today?
Aaron caught the subtle shift in her demeanor and nodded slightly to Hollis before heading upstairs.
