Chapter 402 Having an Abortion First

"That makes sense."

Sandy thought for a moment and grabbed Nora's hand, feeling a bit excited.

"What do you think we should do now? Should we follow Flynt and investigate him for Evella?"

Nora hesitated. Would this work?

She glanced at Sandy and teased, "Sandy, I've noticed you've changed recently."

"What? How so?" Sandy asked.

"A few months ago, you seemed cold and stressed when I first met you," Nora said.

"And now?"

"Now, you've become more lively and cheerful."

Nora smirked, "As expected, women need love."

Sandy looked uncomfortable and squeezed her hand lightly. "You're teasing me again. Let's just get back to business."

Nora's smile softened, "After Alex finishes school tonight, I'll have him investigate this Flynt before we decide."

They'd check Flynt first, and then see how things went.

She still hoped that it was just a misunderstanding.

"That's a good plan."

Despite her words, Sandy seemed unsatisfied.

Nora chuckled. "Sandy, are you really that eager to catch a cheater right now?"

Sandy snorted and replied, "Well, not really. It's just that Kenneth won't let me go to the lab now. He says he's worried about radiation in there, which isn't good for the baby. Thus, I can only stay at home. Lazing around is really boring, you know. Isn't there something I can do?"

It turned out she was just too bored.

Nora laughed and was about to speak when Sandy's phone suddenly rang.

It was Kenneth.

Sandy's brows softened unconsciously.

"Hello?"

"Have you done your check-up?" Kenneth asked.

"Yes."

"Did everything go well?"

He was asking about the baby's condition.

Sandy's eyes flickered as she replied, "Something came up."

He was surprised, his tone noticeably more nervous. "What's wrong? Is there a problem with the baby?"

She smiled faintly, "No, the baby's fine. It's something else."

He sighed in relief. "What is it?"

Sandy glanced at Nora and asked, "Then can you do me a favor?"

"What favor?"

"Investigate the musician Flynt."

Kenneth had a wide network of contacts, so he'd get quick results if he did a quick check now.

It was better than waiting for Alex to return from school and then check on Flynt.

"Why so suddenly?" Kenneth asked, puzzled.

"Because he's suspicious."

Sandy briefly summarized the situation.

Kenneth immediately agreed, "I understand. I'll have my assistant check on Flynt right away."

"Alright, thank you."

Sandy smiled.

Just as she was about to hang up, he asked again, "Are you still with Nora now?"

"Yes."

"Do you want anything to eat? I'll bring it there in the evening."

Kenneth’s voice was very gentle, warming her heart.

"Not for now."

"Well, let me know if you think of anything."

"Okay."

They didn't say much more to each other, so she ended the call.

Her eyes were soft. Nora saw it and pinched her hand while teasing, "With you being so lovey-dovey, we won't need lunch anymore, Sandy."

The two of them got along well.

Kenneth really doted on his wife!

"Alright, stop teasing me. Let's go to Lindwood City University and have lunch with Evella," Sandy blushed and quickly changed the subject.

"Okay."

Nora didn't mind. They got into the car and went to Lindwood City University.

On the way there, Nora called Evella to let her know they were on the way to go have lunch with her.

Evella was delighted.

Nora thought for a moment and deliberately said, "Evella, why don't you invite Flynt to eat with us? I've been talking about treating you two to a meal, but I've been busy and didn't have the time. I'm free today, so invite him over. Just make sure he doesn't mind the cafeteria food being too low-class."

Evella replied, "Why would he mind? He's not that kind of person. I'll ask him right away."

"Great."

After hanging up, Nora and Sandy glanced at each other.

Sandy asked, "Nora, do you think he'll come?"

Nora replied, "It's uncertain."

If Ava really was pregnant with Flynt's child, they should be together right now.

Moreover, if he was a scumbag, he'd probably try to make Ava get an abortion.

...

At a hotel.

As Nora had expected, Flynt was indeed with Ava.

At that time, he didn't have a good expression.

"I told you to take birth control pills, so how did you end up getting pregnant? Is this child really mine?"

Hearing this, Ava's eyes reddened and she said aggrievedly, "Flynt, why on earth would you say such a thing? This child is undoubtedly yours. You're my first love, and I even gave my virginity to you. You're the only boyfriend I've ever had..."

He glanced at her, gloom flashing in his eyes before quickly disappearing.

He sat down next to her and gently coaxed, "Darling, it's not that I don't want to take responsibility, but you should know I'm a famous musician now. If I married you now, it'd hurt my female fans' feelings. That would definitely harm my career, so I can't tie the knot with you yet."

Ava was anxious, grabbing his hand. "But I'm pregnant, Flynt. Can't we secretly get married?"

Flynt held her hand back. "Ava, don't underestimate the internet. I'm a popular musician, so it's impossible for me to do anything in secret."

"So, what do you suggest?" Ava asked.

He looked at her and softly said, "Ava, since the baby's still young, would you consider an abortion for now?"

He was asking her to get an abortion?!

Ava's face was filled with agitation and tears as she replied, "No! Flynt, this is our love child. I don't want to get rid of it!"

His face turned slightly cold as he looked at the weeping woman. He held himself back, hugging her gently.

"Ava, do you know what attracts me the most about you?"

She didn't say anything, quietly sobbing in his arms.

Flynt continued, "It's your personality. You're obedient and well-behaved, a good woman through and through. In fact, I've already made up my mind. If I earn enough money and you stay silently by my side, you will be my future wife!"

"Ava, please listen. To secure a better future for us, would you consider an abortion? If you want children, I assure you that we can have as many as you want once we're married."

His tone remained gentle and sincere, subtly manipulating her. Ava slowly got up, moved by his earnest gaze. She placed a hand on her abdomen, tears welling up from her sorrow and hesitation.

"Flynt, will you really marry me?"

By asking this, it meant that she had already convinced herself.

Flynt smiled as he assured, "Of course! Your appearance fits my preferences perfectly, and you're the woman I like. Who else would I marry?"
