Chapter 453 Playing the Horse Riding Game
Olivia thought, 'Is she stupid? I didn't hide here! Clearly, someone locked me in here!'
Olivia glared at her and said, "Did you lock me in here? Was it you?"
The janitor was surprised and retorted, "Don't accuse me. I took a leave in the morning and just came to work."
Olivia's face twisted, and she screamed, "If it weren't you, then who? Who did this?"
The janitor frowned and muttered, "She's so crazy!"
Nora arrived at the Woodhouse Villa and apologized to Mrs. Woodhouse as she entered the door. "Sorry, sorry, I'm late," she repeated.
Mrs. Woodhouse smiled, and before Nora could say anything, Chloe came over. "Nora, Mr. Gordon said you were sleeping because you were too tired. Did you sneak out at night? Why are you so tired?" she asked.
Nora chuckled awkwardly, feeling embarrassed.
Mrs. Woodhouse walked over and said with a smile, "I thought you had something going on when I didn't see you, so I called to confirm. Mr. Gordon answered the call and said you were sleeping and would call back later."
Nora smiled awkwardly, "I had something to do at his company. Is Ryan upstairs?"
She changed the subject and mentally scolded Aaron again.
"Yes, he is. Go ahead," Mrs. Woodhouse replied, understanding Nora's intentions.
Chloe followed Nora upstairs, and Nora took out a pill from her bag and gave it to her. Chloe swallowed the pill and smiled, "Nora, I feel like I've become a bit smarter again."
She had always hoped to become smarter!
Nora laughed and replied, "Yes, I feel the same way. Chloe, if I give you an injection for treatment, it can speed up the process of becoming smarter. Do you want to try?"
Upon hearing this, Chloe, who had been smiling, suddenly became frightened. "No. I don't want an injection. I don't want treatment," she declared.
She shook her head repeatedly and ran away. She was still resistant and had not become smarter.
Nora was quick, too. She had just casually tested it.
There was still plenty of time.
Chloe ran out of the villa, muttering, "I don't want an injection. I don't want treatment. Treatment will make me stupid, and I'll see ghosts after treatment! Ghosts are so scary; I don't want to see them!"
As she muttered to herself, she ran toward her home.
When she entered the house, she sighed in relief, rubbed her eyes, and yawned as she said, "So tired, I want to sleep."
She had been waiting for Nora to come all day, so she hadn't nap.
And now, after taking the pill, she felt sleepy.
Chloe went upstairs, preparing to go back to her room to sleep.
As she passed the master bedroom, she heard some noises from inside.
"Yes. Faster, even faster. I want more!" someone demanded.
"Baby, you make me feel so good!" somebody remarked.
The sounds from the bedroom continued.
It sounded like Arthur's voice.
Chloe paused and tilted her head, trying to turn the doorknob.
But the door was locked, and she couldn't open it.
So, she started knocking on the door and asked, "Arthur, are you in there?"
The room suddenly fell silent.
Chloe pressed her ear against the door but couldn't hear any sound.
She frowned and continued banging on the door.
"Arthur, I can hear your voice. Open the door quickly; who are you playing games with inside the room? I want to come in and play, too!" Chloe demanded.
After a moment, someone finally opened the door.
With a grimace on his face, Arthur asked, "Aren't you playing with Ryan? Why are you back?"
Chloe didn't answer his question. Instead, she touched his forehead and said, "Arthur, who are you playing games with? You're sweating so much!"
Arthur furrowed his brow and turned his head away from her hand in disgust.
At that moment, Elsa came out from inside and walked up to Arthur.
Elsa informed, "Chloe, it's me."
Chloe was familiar with Elsa.
"Oh, it's you. What game were you playing? I just heard you say 'faster'!" Chloe asked.
Elsa's face stiffened, and she looked uncomfortably at Arthur.
Clearing his throat, Arthur said, "We were just playing a horse-riding game."
Chloe looked puzzled, and asked, "A horse-riding game?"
"Yes, we made a bet. The loser had to be ridden like a horse by the other person. I lost, so Elsa rode on me," Arthur lied.
Chloe suddenly became excited. She pulled on Arthur's sleeve and said, "Arthur, I want to play too!"
Arthur pulled away from her hand and said, "I'm tired today. I'll play with you next time."
"No, I want to play!" Chloe shouted.
Arthur's face darkened, and yelled, "Listen to me. Go play by yourself!" His tone was cold as if he were scolding a child.
In truth, Chloe was afraid of him.
As long as he showed a cold expression, she dared not make trouble anymore.
Pouting, Chloe lowered her head and turned into her room, slamming the door shut.
Seeing her leave, Elsa grabbed Arthur's hand, feeling somewhat worried. She asked, "Arthur, will she find out?"
Arthur patted her hand and said, "Don't worry, she's just a fool and won't guess our secret."
Elsa complained, "It's all your fault for doing it here."
Arthur grinned and reached out to pinch her butt. "It's thrilling to do it here," he remarked.
Elsa, in her forties and well-maintained, had good skin and a good figure.
Her butt was perky and felt nice when touched.
After touching her, Arthur couldn't control himself.
Elsa glared at him, pushed him away, and said, "I'm leaving."
Arthur said, "Don't go. Stay here tonight."
Elsa refused, "No. We'll get caught."
Their relationship was clandestine, so Elsa was usually very cautious.
"Then let me walk you out," Arthur suggested, He didn't insist anymore.
"All right," Elsa agreed.
The two of them went downstairs and were about to leave when Olivia came back.
Olivia had washed off her makeup, but her eyes were still swollen, and it was clear that she was crying.
Elsa was surprised. "Olivia, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" she asked.
"Mom!" Olivia called out.
As soon as Olivia saw Elsa, she immediately threw herself into her arms and burst into tears.
Arthur, who was next to them, looked at her with a pained expression.
"Don't cry, Olivia. Tell me who bullied you," he said anxiously, almost revealing a secret.
Fortunately, there was no one else in the house, and Olivia was too upset to notice.
"I'm hungry. I want to eat," Olivia cried.
She hadn't eaten lunch and had been crying in the bathroom all afternoon, so she was very hungry.
"Okay, I'll cook for you right away," Arthur offered. He hurried to the kitchen to cook for her, himself.
Elsa comforted Olivia. When she saw that Olivia's black shirt and pants were stained with coffee, she frowned.
"Olivia, why are your clothes dirty? Go upstairs and change them first," Elsa suggested.
"Okay," Olivia agreed. She wiped away her tears and followed Elsa upstairs to her room to change.
After Olivia finished, Elsa asked, "Olivia, tell me what happened."
Angry, Olivia replied, "Mom, I've been bullied at work."
