Chapter 630 Being Ignored Unreasonably
An hour later, Nora received a message from Alex saying that he had arrived and asked her to go to the nearby airstrip.
Nora quickly told Emma that she was going out and then had Frederick drive her to the airstrip.
Outside the airstrip, she saw Alex and Noe with a bodyguard, and Erin was there too.
"Erin, are you also coming with us to find Aaron?" Nora asked in surprise as she picked her up.
Erin nodded and said, "I want to go find Uncle Aaron with Mommy."
Erin had been calling her 'Mommy' all along.
With Alex by her side, Erin gradually regained her ability to speak.
Nora's heart softened, and she didn't have time to think about anything else. She carried Erin and took Frederick with her, then boarded the plane together.
The plane took off and flew steadily in the azure sky.
Noe asked, "Dr. Smith, do you know about Lumirians?"
Nora shook her head, saying, "I haven't heard of them; you should have the information."
She had intended to look up information about the Lumirians.
But with Noe around, he must have done all the research already.
She just needed to look at what he had prepared.
So, while waiting for them to pick her up, Nora didn't search for any information.
"I looked up information about the Lumirians; take a look." Noe handed the tablet to Nora, looking hesitant.
Nora didn't see his expression; she took the tablet and saw the information related to the Lumirians that Noe had compiled on the screen.
Nora quickly scanned through it, finding it somewhat intriguing.
"So, are the Lumirians somewhat similar to the Matrilineal society?" she remarked.
Noe nodded and said, "Yes, where women hold a higher status than men. Men are mainly responsible for manual labor and mating."
He paused, coughed lightly as Nora looked over, and continued, "To put it simply, they provide the function of sperm. Some say it's a paradise for men because there are no constraints when sleeping with women. If chosen by a woman, they can engage in intimate activities without legal or moral constraints."
Upon hearing this, Nora furrowed her brows and said, "Wouldn't that lead to chaos? If a man is chosen by multiple women and has intimate relations with them, if any of those women bear children, who knows what their relationship would be like?"
It could be siblings, or it could be between generations.
Just the thought of it seemed absurd.
With today's medical knowledge, there would likely be many congenital disabilities in such a society.
"The Lumirians used to be quite chaotic, but they are gradually becoming more organized now," Noe explained, "As the country develops, even though such places are still behind, they are progressing. So, it's not as chaotic as before."
Pausing for a moment, he added, "But old habits die hard; it's still a paradise for men there."
Nora agreed wholeheartedly, nodding thoughtfully.
"So now that Aaron has been saved by the people there, Uncle Noe, you have spread so much knowledge. Do you want to tell Mommy that Uncle Aaron may be favored by many women?" Alex's innocent voice chimed in, hitting the nail on the head.
Nora had just been thinking the same thing. Her brows furrowed instantly.
Aaron was so handsome; he might have become a husband to the women there by now!
"You know, Mr. Gordon is so charismatic; it's unreasonable for him not to be sought after," Noe coughed lightly and remarked.
Nora was speechless.
At that moment, she didn't need reasons!
"Aaron is not that kind of man; he will remain virtuous," Nora asserted.
Noe glanced at her and said, "Unless circumstances force him otherwise."
Those words struck a chord.
Nora's heart tightened, her fingers involuntarily clenched.
Indeed, what good was Aaron's virtue if he ended up in the hands of many women only to be taken advantage of?
"Uncle Noe, don't scare Mommy; I believe Uncle Aaron will remain pure for Mommy." Alex comforted.
Erin also moved closer to Nora, holding her hand to offer comfort.
Noe nodded. "Perhaps I'm worrying unnecessarily."
He also hoped that Aaron hadn't been forced to give up his virginity.
Aaron, hold on, we're coming to rescue you!
At the Lumirians.
Aaron was still trapped in the room.
His injuries were improving, and he could now walk around.
However, the door to his room was locked from the outside, leaving him unable to go, only able to see the outside world through a window.
Aaron now realized he was on the second floor.
This house was a standalone building.
It was evident that the people in this house held a high status, even within all of Lumirians.
Not far outside was a vast expanse of fields.
Men were working in the fields.
All men, no women in sight, working busily.
On the field ridges, children were playing.
There were both boys and girls among the children.
It was clear that women held a high status in this place.
Aaron thought about starting with Seraphina to get her to let him out, but it seemed like she knew what he was thinking as she only brought medicine and left without saying much.
Feeling restless, Aaron had to come up with another plan to leave.
He looked at the wooden window in front of him, his brown eyes narrowing.
It wasn't the usual aluminum alloy window but a wooden one that could be pushed open to allow one person to pass through.
Aaron leaned out, noticing some stones stacked outside.
It seemed like he could climb out through the window.
Thinking about the implications of marriage here, where men would climb in through the window at night to be with women, Aaron's eyes flickered. He could escape through this window.
If he could get out through here, he could borrow a phone from someone and call Nora.
With that in mind, Aaron felt a surge of determination and prepared to climb out through the window.
However, as he was halfway out, the door was suddenly opened.
Seraphina walked in.
Seeing Aaron trying to climb out the window, she was startled and quickly went over to pull him back.
"Aaron, what are you doing?" she asked.
Aaron furrowed his brows and said, "Let go; I want to get out."
Seraphina held him tightly and said, "Your injuries haven't fully healed; let them heal before you think about leaving."
Aaron's face turned cold. He said, "Seraphina, this is imprisonment; it's illegal!"
Seraphina didn't respond, and at that moment, Elara's voice came from the doorway. "Where do you think you're going? You're almost recovered; you can sleep with me tonight!"
Upon hearing this, Aaron's expression darkened even more. He said, "Elara, are you so desperate for a man that you talk about sleeping together every day? It's simply shameless!"
