Chapter 554 Occupying His Woman

"Okay." Nora smiled, squeezed Aaron's hand, then got up and walked over to Emma.

"Are you hungry? I'll go with you to get something to eat," Emma said softly.

Nora replied, "All right."

Nora linked her arm with Emma's and turned to Aaron, winking playfully, her eyes sparkling.

Watching them leave happily together, Aaron couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

Nora had returned to her family. He should have been happy, but he couldn't bring himself to feel that way.

He thought, 'Emma is so annoying! Why does she always have to occupy my woman?'

...

At the seaside village.

Sandy, worried about Juliet who had just given birth, went to check on her again.

Landon had gone to a neighbor's house for dinner. Juliet had woken up and was trying to breastfeed the baby.

But having just given birth, she didn't have much milk. The baby, unable to get enough, was constantly searching and occasionally crying out.

Sandy entered the room and asked, "Juliet, are you breastfeeding?"

"Yes, but I don't have enough milk," Juliet said anxiously.

"Don't worry, I'll make you something to eat," Sandy said.

Juliet looked up, a hint of embarrassment in her eyes. She informed, "Doctor Hernandez, I might be out of food at home."

She hadn't prepared anything because she was still far from her due date. She had suddenly gone into labor after a fall.

"The lady I live with just brought back a lot of seafood. I'll see if there's any fish. Maybe you can have some," Sandy suggested after thinking for a moment.

"Doctor Hernandez, thank you so much," Juliet said gratefully.
Sandy replied, "It's nothing."

Sandy smiled. She was about to leave when Zephyr walked in with a food box.

"Cora... I mean, Doctor Hernandez, you're here too," Zephyr greeted.

Sandy ignored the slip of "Cora" and focused on the food box in his hand.

Sandy asked, "Dr. Wright, what do you have there?"

"Oh, it's fish. I came to check if Juliet had dinner. If not, would she like some fish?" Zephyr asked.

He had first gone to Sandy's place and learned she was at Juliet's, so he hurried over. He just wanted to spend more time with her.

"You're just in time. Juliet hasn't had dinner yet," Sandy said with a smile.

Zephyr suggested, "Then let's have some fish."

Sandy replied, "All right."

They walked back into the room together.

Juliet had just put the baby down. The little one, still hungry, kept moving its tiny mouth, occasionally letting out small cries.

"Juliet, Dr. Wright brought some fish. You should eat something," Sandy said.
Juliet was very grateful and said, "Dr. Wright, thank you so much."

"It's nothing," Zephyr replied and handed the food to Sandy, who then gave it to Juliet.

Juliet took the warm food and ate it quickly.

Feeling warmer and more energized, Juliet wiped her mouth and thanked them again.

Sandy handed the plate back to Zephyr.

Zephyr suggested, "There's more fish here. Juliet, eat some more if you get hungry."

"Thank you, Dr. Wright. You're so kind," Juliet said gratefully.

Zephyr smiled.

Just then, Landon returned from dinner.

He greeted Sandy and Zephyr before rushing to the bedside to check on Daisy.

Landon asked, "Mom, is Daisy still asleep?"

"She woke up earlier but fell asleep again," Juliet said.

Landon studied Daisy seriously, and remarked, "Mom, Daisy seems to look a bit prettier."

Juliet couldn't help but laugh. "Really? Has Daisy already gotten prettier?" she repeated.

"Yes," Landon said confidently.

Juliet was delighted, and said, "Yes, Daisy will become more and more beautiful, just like you."

Landon was strong. Hearing Juliet praise his looks made him blush with pride.

Landon said proudly, "Daisy will definitely be prettier than me."

Juliet agreed, "Yes, you're handsome, and she'll be beautiful."

Watching this warm scene, Sandy's lips curved into a soft smile, her eyes gentle.

Their life was tough but warm.

Sandy unconsciously touched her belly. She wondered if she would ever have such warm moments with her own child.

Kenneth's handsome face suddenly flashed in her mind. His disappointed and angry expression before the accident made her choke on her breath.

The little one in her belly seemed to sense her distress and kicked her.

Sandy was startled, all her thoughts halting, replaced by joy.

It was the first time she felt the baby move!

The baby must be reminding her not to overthink and to live well!

Sandy touched her belly, her turbulent emotions gradually calming down.

Zephyr glanced at her but said nothing, silently staying by her side.

After chatting with Juliet for a while longer, Sandy took her leave.

Zephyr naturally left as well.

The seaside village was very quiet at night.

Christmas had passed, but the weather was still cold. The sea air carried a hint of moisture.

Seeing Sandy hugging herself tightly, Zephyr took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders.

Sandy was startled and wanted to take it off.

Sandy insisted, "I'm not cold."

"Keep it on," Zephyr insisted and didn't let her take it off.

Sandy looked at his slender figure, and asked, "When will you go back?"

Zephyr smiled, replying, "I have the freedom to choose where I want to be."

Sandy was speechless.

She pursed her lips and said, "Zephyr, I've told you many times. Even if I get divorced, we can't be together. You're wasting your time here."

Zephyr glanced at her, and teased, "I've also told you many times. Don't be so conceited. I don't plan to be with you. I just like places with mountains and water. Life here makes me feel fulfilled."

He thought, 'Because you're here. No matter what you think of me, I feel fulfilled with you around.'

Sandy's fingers curled slightly. She knew Zephyr wasn't being honest. She sighed inwardly and didn't say anything more.

She had thought about leaving again. But she was pregnant. If she ran away again and something happened on the way, what would she do?

She didn't want to risk her baby's safety.

She also thought about ignoring him. But he seemed unaffected by her coldness and indifference.

He wasn't influenced by her at all.

Moreover, the medical conditions here were really poor. When she treated patients, he would help her.

She felt helpless.

She thought, 'Forget it, just go with the flow.'

Sandy thought about many things as she walked slowly under the faint moonlight.

Thinking about Nora's visit today, she couldn't help but think of Kenneth again.

She thought, 'Kenneth, wake up soon!'
