Chapter 469 Who is Cora Hernandez?
"Ms. Hamilton, this is the hot coffee you requested," the assistant said as she walked briskly over with a cup of coffee.
Suzy snapped out of her thoughts and coldly accepted it.
Her assistant said, "Ms. Hamilton, the photographer is already waiting for us by the lake. Let's go."
"Why are you in such a hurry? It's cold there. Let me take a few sips of coffee to warm up before we go," Suzy said, displeased.
She was here for a photo shoot.
Since getting married to Jackson, she rarely took on any jobs and almost disappeared from the entertainment industry.
Now that she was divorced from Jackson, she didn't want to stay at home and was ready to return to her original profession.
But this industry is a harsh world of fame and fortune.
Even with the support of the Hamilton family, she couldn't return to her past glory.
'I can only start from scratch and find another opportunity to reach the peak again,' Suzy pondered.
Her agent helped her book a commercial shoot yesterday, so she came here early in the morning. From a former leading actress to a current small advertisement's player, Suzy attributed everything to Nora!
When she makes a comeback, she will definitely compete with Nora.
Nora and Zephyr entered the lab together, but Sandy arrived not long after.
Kenneth, still the one who brought her here, tied her hair and reminded her to take care of herself.
Sandy smiled gently.
There was a gleam in both of their eyes, looking especially affectionate.
Nora subconsciously glanced at Zephyr and noticed that he only glanced at them briefly before looking away.
Nora thought that perhaps her words just now made him seal away his feelings even more.
Why would he do that?
Wouldn't being by Sandy's side every day be more painful? Does he enjoy being treated like this?
Nora sighed inwardly and suddenly thought of Aaron.
If one day Aaron became a different person.
They couldn't be together for some reason, and he refused to acknowledge his identity with her; what would she do?
Nora's heart skipped a beat. She thought, 'Perhaps I would be like Zephyr, just wanting to watch him from afar and not willing to leave.'
Sandy called out, "Nora, what are you spacing out about?" Kenneth had already left. Sandy walked up to her and waved her hand in front of her eyes.
Nora snapped out of it and quickly explained, "I was just admiring the relationship between you two."
Maybe she had been spending too much time with the screenwriter Evella and was starting to imagine stories.
She and Aaron wouldn't be like this.
"You're teasing me again. This dessert is for you; I made it myself," Sandy said sweetly and handed it to her.
Nora's eyes lit up. "My favorite Mousse Cake! Did you make it yourself? I'm so happy!" she happily expressed.
Sandy smiled and hugged her but unintentionally caught a glimpse of Zephyr's gaze. Her smile faded as she quickly avoided his gaze.
Zephyr's eyes showed disappointment as he entered a laboratory with a notebook.
Sandy lowered her gaze as she watched his figure, much thinner than before.
After helping Mr. Levelt for a few more days, she didn't plan on coming here anymore. She didn't wish to stay with him all the time.
It's not good for them.
Several people were busy in the laboratory throughout the morning.
At noon, Kenneth delivered lunch to them.
Lunch was plentiful, with various types and flavors of dishes.
"Nora, do you think Kenneth is afraid I'll go hungry? He sent so much food!" Sandy said somewhat helplessly.
"He said I should eat more and asked me to send him a video of me finishing the meal," Sandy complained, but her words were filled with sweetness.
Nora laughed. "What can we do? How about I join you for lunch here?" she offered.
Sandy hoped for that, and replied, "That would be great. Let's eat together and invite Evella to join us, too."
Nora suggested, "All right, and I also plan on asking her about her progress with Howard."
Sandy's eyes lit up. She couldn't help but ask, "Evella and Howard? Something is happening between them?"
Nora smiled and replied, "I don't know, but I know Howard wants to pursue Evella. He's just inexperienced in relationships, so he's a bit slow to react."
A bit slow!
Sandy laughed, saying, "So that's how it is. Tell me, just how slow is he?"
"Come on, I'll tell you while we find Evella," Nora said as they walked.
Sandy replied, "All right."
Sandy was about to get the food containers, but Nora handed them over.
"Let me get them; they're a bit heavy," Nora advised.
"Should I do it instead?" Sandy suggested and smiled.
"No problem," Nora said, "I can put in some effort since I'm getting such a sumptuous lunch."
Sandy chuckled and followed her out of the laboratory. Without paying attention to the path, she accidentally turned a corner and almost fell.
"Be careful," Zephyr said as he quickly supported her.
"Thank you." Sandy thanked him hastily, but when she saw that it was Zephyr who had helped her, she didn't know what to say other than thank you.
Zephyr's eyes showed concern. He wanted to say something but ultimately said nothing, releasing his grip.
Nora quickly went back and held onto Sandy.
"Sandy, are you okay?" Nora asked.
"I'm fine, let's go," Sandy assured her and smiled.
Nora blamed herself, thinking aloud, "It's all my fault for being too focused on getting food. If you had fallen, Kenneth would have been worried."
"I'm fine," Sandy replied with a smile, but her mood was complicated.
Zephyr saw Nora holding a food box in one hand and helping Sandy with the other, and she seemed to be struggling. He spoke up, "Nora, let me carry that for you."
After saying that, he immediately took the food box and walked ahead.
Nora watched him stride forward and didn't have time to respond to his other words.
She subconsciously glanced at Sandy and saw that her expression was also complicated.
Nora revealed, "Sandy, I ran into him this morning, and he seemed skeptical that you are Sandy; he kept mistaking you for Cora."
Hearing this, Sandy lowered her eyes slightly and said softly, "That's just his personality, very stubborn."
Indeed, Zephyr was very stubborn.
Nora sighed lightly, not knowing what to say.
At that moment, a girl's voice sounded beside them.
The voice said, "You guys get along really well."
They were wondering who it was when they saw Suzy approaching them slowly, wearing a loose black coat. Suzy had her hair up, and her makeup was exquisite.
She was working here.
Nora pursed her red lips lightly and ignored her while Sandy greeted her.
"Hi, Suzy."
Suzy looked Sandy up and down, then suddenly said, "Who is Cora?"
Hearing this, Sandy's face changed, and she stared at Suzy, speechless for a moment.
Nora was equally surprised and didn't know how Suzy could know about Cora.
"I don't know any, Cora," Sandy snapped back, coming back to her senses.
Suzy looked at her, and insinuated, "Sandy, why do you look like that? Are you keeping any secrets from my brother?"
"No," Sandy replied.
Suzy looked skeptical, her expression questioning, "What's the relationship between you and the man next to you just now?"
