Chapter 702 Do I Look Like I Have Hidden Illnesses?

Watching the two old men about to start arguing again, Aaron quickly intervened, "Grandpa Jacob, Grandpa Adelbert is right. Nora has raised three children all by herself, which is really hard. The children should take her last name, Hamilton."

Upon hearing this, Adelbert was pleased. "Aaron is sensible."

Aaron smiled. "Thank you for the praise, Grandpa Adelbert."

Jacob frowned. Although he found it reasonable, he still felt uncomfortable deep down. After all, Alex, Billy, and Samantha were descendants of the Gordon family! How could they not have the last name Gordon?

Aaron glanced at Jacob and comforted him. "Grandpa, don't worry. Nora and I will have children in the future, and the children we have later will take my last name."

Upon hearing this, Jacob's expression softened a bit. He nodded and urged. "Then you better put in some effort and get Nora pregnant soon!"

"Okay." Aaron casually agreed.

Jacob scrutinized him and asked, "Aaron, be honest. Did the accident you had last year leave you any hidden health issues?"

Aaron chuckled. "No, don't you trust Nora's medical skills?"

"It's not that." Jacob denied, then continued, "But you two have been living together for so long, why hasn't Nora gotten pregnant yet? Are you really healthy?"

Previously, Aaron had been in a wheelchair after the accident. Jacob was concerned that Aaron might have injured something that could prevent Nora from getting pregnant. If Nora couldn't have other children, who would carry on the Gordon family name?

"Grandpa Jacob, are you cursing your grandson?" Aaron raised an eyebrow, looking speechless.

Jacob glared at him. "What curse? I'm just asking! If you do have a problem, get it treated quickly, don't delay me from having a great-grandchild!"

Aaron was speechless and turned to Nora, passing the question to her. "Dr. Smith, do you think I have any hidden illnesses?"

Nora's face blushed slightly under the intense gazes of everyone. She replied under pressure, "No."

Aaron smirked. "So, it's not my fault that you haven't gotten pregnant with a child, right?" He wanted to clear his name. It wasn't his fault that Nora hadn't gotten pregnant after all this time!

"Is it my fault then?" Nora's face grew even redder as she casually responded.

Upon hearing her words, Jacob became tense. "Nora, did give birth to triplets in the first pregnancy harm your body? You must take good care of yourself."

Nora felt a bit uneasy. Giving birth to triplets indeed took a toll on her body. However, the reason she hadn't gotten pregnant wasn't because of that. Nora simply didn't want to get pregnant too soon, so she had been careful with contraception.

"Ebenezer, Emma, forgive my overbearing this time. Starting tomorrow, you must ensure Nora gets proper nutrition. If you don't take care of her health, I'll bring her back to the Gordon family to be personally fed by the Gordon family." Jacob spoke up again.

Nora was speechless. Personally fed! It felt like she was being fattened up to be sent to the slaughterhouse.

"Jacob Gordon, are you questioning the Hamilton family's wealth or something else? Does my granddaughter really need to be brought back to the Gordon family for personal care?" Adelbert chimed in, objecting to Jacob.

Jacob glared at him. "Do you have to contest every word I say? Can you just concur for once?"

Adelbert retorted, "That's because you deserve it!"

"You!"

Seeing Jacob and Adelbert about to argue again, Ebenezer quickly intervened. "Jacob, rest assured, we will make sure Nora gets proper nutrition and recovers as soon as possible."

Upon hearing this, Jacob was satisfied. He looked at Alex, Billy, and Samantha with affection. "Come on, the children must be hungry. Let's start."

Samantha had been leaning on Aaron's lap, showing more affection than usual. She asked, "Grandpa Jacob, should we toast?"

Jacob laughed. "Yes, today is a good day. Let's raise our glasses together!"

Everyone stood up, including Alex, Billy, and Samantha, who stood on their chairs and clinked their glasses together. The sound of the glasses clinking echoed pleasantly.

The warm yellow light cast a sparkling glow, reflecting on every smiling face. The table was filled with people eating, drinking, and chatting, enjoying the harmonious atmosphere.

The children were being taken care of by Jacob, Adelbert, and Aaron, making Nora feel relaxed and happy. However, she noticed Howard looking troubled.

Nora paused her chewing and blinked. Howard seemed unhappy! She was about to ask when she saw Howard put down his chopsticks and say, "Enjoy your meal. I'll go to the restroom."

He pushed his chair back and walked out. Nora glanced at the restroom of the private room and followed him out.

If there was a restroom in the private room and Howard didn't use it, he must have something on his mind. Following him out, Nora saw Howard striding quickly, looking urgent.

She took a few steps to catch up, intending to call out to him, but Howard turned a corner and entered the hotel's kitchen.

What was Howard doing in the kitchen? Nora blinked, and it suddenly occurred to her that Howard had made a one-week agreement before. Howard must have come here to learn cooking from the hotel's head chef.

Nora smiled and followed him into the kitchen. She saw Howard talking to the head chef, Samuel Lee.

"Howard."

Howard heard the call and turned to see Nora, a hint of discomfort in his eyes.

"Nora, why are you here?" Howard asked.

Nora tilted her head and smiled. "I should be asking you the same. Weren't you going to the restroom? How did you end up here?"

Howard met Nora's teasing gaze and spoke softly, "Nora, you really didn't do me any favors. A few days ago at Richard's place, I got drunk and boasted that I could prepare a decent meal within a week. Why didn't you stop me?"

Nora chuckled. "You were so confident. How could I have stopped you?"

Howard scratched his head, looking disheartened. "Alcohol ruins everything!"

Nora teased. "Alcohol just boosts your confidence!"

Howard sighed. "Nora, you're making fun of me. You just want to see how I embarrass myself."

Nora couldn't stop laughing. Howard ignored her and turned to Samuel. "As I mentioned earlier, within a week, you must teach me how to prepare ten signature dishes."

Whispering Willow Restaurant was owned by the Hamilton family, and Mr. Howard's words carried weight. Samuel naturally couldn't afford to be negligent.

"Mr. Howard, which dishes do you want to learn?" Samuel asked.

"You decide. We have five days left, and you must teach me," Howard replied.

Nora interjected. "Don't teach him anything too difficult. I'm afraid he won't be able to learn."

Howard moved his lips to retort, but considering his novice cooking skills and the limited time left, he swallowed his pride and remained silent.
