Chapter 962 You Didn't Seduce My Husband

"Not mad anymore?" Gabriella asked, tilting her head.

"I was never mad," Johnnie replied.

Gabriella grinned. "Still jealous?"

Johnnie hesitated. "A bit."

Gabriella's eyes sparkled with a smile.

She kissed the corner of his lips and whispered, "Just wait a few days till I'm better, and I'll make it up to you."

Johnnie's eyes lit up, but he kept his cool with a hum.

Gabriella looked pleased. "Let's see what statement they released."

She checked her phone and saw Aaron had posted on the Gordon Group's site.

He thanked everyone for their concern about him and Nora, saying they had a great relationship. Nora knew he saw Gabriella last night, and they were just business partners. The photos were misleading; he was just helping her up after she tripped. Any more slander would get a legal warning.

Gabriella then released her own statement, saying she had a good relationship with Aaron and Nora and hoped people wouldn't stir trouble. She considered them friends and would take legal action if rumors continued.

With these statements, netizens, though skeptical, didn't dare spread more rumors, not wanting to challenge the Gordon Group. Aaron's PR team soon removed the news from trending topics.

In the room, Mateo, who had been watching, looked serious.

"Never thought Gabriella would be used by Rafael."

Aaron had told him Gabriella and Rafael were working together. Rafael went to great lengths to ruin his reputation.

"There'll be more schemes against you, so stay sharp," Aaron teased.

Mateo shot back, "And plenty of admirers with hidden agendas like Gabriella, so watch out."

"Bring it on, let's see who gets hurt!" Aaron said, pulling Nora into his arms. "Mateo, see the halo around me and my wife? We're blessed, and any villain will be exposed."

Mateo smiled. "You're only lucky because of Nora; otherwise, you'd be worse off than me."

"True," Aaron admitted, looking at Nora with affection.

Nora, amused, pushed his face away.

Aaron held her hand and kissed her cheek in front of Mateo.

Watching them, Mateo ground his teeth. "Alright, what's the plan for today?"

Aaron got serious. "We'll be showing you around the Gordon Group."

Mateo gave him a look. "With the news out, shouldn't I act mad and punch you in front of Gabriella to make it convincing?"

Aaron smirked. "Mateo, you have a dark mind."

Mateo retorted, "How am I dark-minded?"

Aaron added, "You want to punch me."

Mateo said, "That doesn't mean I'm dark-minded. You clearly deserve it."

Aaron snorted, "I haven't gone after anyone else's wife, so why do I deserve a punch?"

Mateo, at a loss for words, pointed at him angrily. "Just look at that punchable face of yours."

Nora found their bickering amusing. "Alright, cut it out. Are you two younger than Billy and Samantha?"

Aaron straightened his already neat clothes. "That's why they say you become like those you hang out with. Some people have only been here two days, and I've already been influenced."

Mateo was speechless. Aaron was implying he was childish! Who was the real childish one here? This guy was truly sharp-tongued!

The group left the room and met Johnnie and Gabriella in the lobby. Gabriella quickly approached them, taking Nora's arm sweetly. "Sorry, Nora, you're not mad at me, are you?"

Nora glanced at her and said deliberately, "You didn't seduce my husband, so why would I be mad?"

Gabriella smiled. "It was just a misunderstanding. But I knew you were reasonable."

Nora smiled but didn't comment. Gabriella glanced at Mateo, who was smiling meaningfully, and she smiled back. She then looked at Aaron, whose expression was indifferent, revealing no emotions.

"Mr. Gordon, what's the plan for today?" Gabriella asked, unsure about Aaron and Nora's current situation. The appearance of harmony was carefully maintained, but with the recent news and public statements, any underlying tension between them remained hidden. After all, the watchful eyes of many were still upon them.

"We're going to tour the Gordon Group," Aaron replied, and the group set off.

They first toured the headquarters, and the day went smoothly. The next day, they visited a subsidiary of the Gordon Group. As soon as their car arrived, there was a commotion. A group of people appeared out of nowhere, holding banners with words like [Injustice], [A life for a life], and [Pay your debts]. Several middle-aged men and women were sitting on the ground, wailing.

"My son died unjustly! Give me back my son!"

"My poor nephew, you died so tragically! Everyone here is a murderer!"

"My unfortunate nephew, don't worry, we'll fight for justice for you even if it costs us our lives!"

Aaron's face darkened at the scene. "Johnnie."

"Yes, Mr. Gordon. I've already contacted Tobias Clarke."

Johnnie had called the factory manager, Tobias, early on. At that moment, Tobias, who was preparing to welcome the guests, rushed out. Even though it was only a few steps, his forehead was covered in sweat—not from the heat, but from fear. No one would have thought that after making thorough preparations to welcome the guests, this group of people would suddenly appear. If today's cooperation was ruined, his career would be over.

"Mr. Gordon, Mrs. Gordon, Prince Mateo, you're here." Tobias bent slightly, smiling obsequiously.

"Tobias, what's going on here?" Johnnie asked on behalf of Aaron, looking at the crowd being held back by the factory's security and their bodyguards.

Tobias wiped the sweat from his forehead and finally recognized the troublemakers. "Mr. Perez, they are the families of the employees who were involved in the warehouse fire incident a while ago."
