Chapter 822 Millie Knew Him Well
In the evening, after finishing her work in the lab, Nora was ready to head home.
Thinking about what Millie had told her about going to an art class, she decided to check it out.
So she asked Frederick to drive her to the kindergarten.
She arrived just in time as the Hamilton family's driver was picking up Alex, Billy, and Samantha from the Gordon Manor.
Alex, Billy, and Samantha were about to get in the car.
"Billy, Samantha, Millie," Nora called out as she got out of the car.
Alex, Billy, and Samantha paused and ran joyfully towards her.
"Mommy!"
Nora's eyes were filled with laughter as she hugged and kissed Alex, Billy, and Samantha.
"Why did Mommy come to pick us up?"
"Is Daddy here?"
Samantha and Millie chirped questions at her.
"Daddy is on a business trip, and I had some free time, so I came," Nora replied, then looked at Millie. "Millie, are you going to the art class later?"
Millie's little face was full of excitement. "Yes, and when I learn to draw, Mommy, you can be my model. I'll make sure to draw you beautifully."
Nora smiled. "Okay."
She then looked at Samantha and Billy.
Samantha was learning piano, so she definitely didn't have time for art classes.
Billy, on the other hand, was a child prodigy.
He had been learning advanced math with Jacob and was now self-studying various financial knowledge that she couldn't understand.
He could probably find time to join Millie in the art class.
"Billy, do you want to join Millie in the art class?"
"No way," Billy replied.
"Why not?" Nora asked curiously.
"Because I can learn it on my own. Taking classes is just a waste of money ," Billy said proudly.
This proud and stingy little money-grubber.
Nora couldn't help but laugh. Before she could say anything, Millie spoke up, "Billy, you're bragging. Today the teacher asked us to draw, and your drawing was ugly."
Billy was at a loss for words and felt a bit embarrassed. "I haven't really learned it yet. Once I self-study, I'll definitely draw beautifully."
Millie pouted. "If you self-study, it won't be as good as having a teacher. You'll never draw as well as I do."
Billy raised his chin proudly. "I'm a child prodigy; I don't need a teacher."
Millie added, "Then let's make a bet. After I've been learning for a while, we'll have a contest to see who draws better."
Billy wanted to refuse but was afraid Millie would say he was backing down, so he nodded.
"Okay."
Listening to Millie and Billy's back-and-forth, Nora's eyes curved with laughter.
"Alright, it's getting late. Billy, Samantha, you two go home first. I'll take Millie to the art class."
"Okay, Mommy."
Both of them had no objections and got into the car with the Hamilton family's driver.
Nora asked Adelbert for the location of the art class and took Millie there.
On the way, Millie chattered about things at kindergarten.
She mentioned a boy who liked Samantha and gave her lots of chocolates.
Then she said several girls from other classes gave Billy gifts today, and she was troubled because she had no gift for Billy.
Listening to Millie's innocent words, Nora's eyes softened.
It had been over half a year since she brought Millie back, and it seemed she had completely moved on from the sadness of losing her mother.
She hoped Millie could stay this happy forever.
The car soon arrived at the art class.
The art class was located in a building in the central area.
Nora took Millie up to the twelfth floor by elevator and arrived at the art class called ArtVista Kids Art Academy.
The art class was quite large, with many training programs inside.
Dance, painting, music, robotics, and more.
The lobby was bustling with many parents bringing their children for classes.
Millie met several familiar classmates and greeted them excitedly, then eagerly pulled Nora towards the painting class.
A teacher was welcoming students at the door of the painting class.
Millie's eyes lit up when she saw the person at the door and called out loudly, " Nathan."
The young man at the door looked in her direction and smiled slightly.
Nora looked down and saw Millie excitedly waving at him, so she followed her gaze and saw a handsome young man smiling at her.
'Is he the painting class teacher?' Nora thought.
Millie let go of Nora's hand and ran over excitedly.
"Nathan, I'm here for class!"
Nathan patted her little head and responded with a nod.
'They seemed quite familiar with each other.'
'Could they have known each other for a while?'
Nora was curious and walked over. "Hello, I'm Millie's mommy. And you are?"
"Hello, I'm an assistant teacher here. My last name is Gray," Nathan introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Gray. It seems Millie is quite familiar with you?" Nora asked.
Nathan glanced at Millie. "I handed out flyers at the kindergarten gate, so I've met Millie a few times."
Nora suddenly understood.
So Millie wanted to come here for the art class because of him.
'This Nathan was quite a handsome young boy. Was Millie here because of his looks?'
'What about Billy then?' Nora thought.
She was overthinking it, taking someone's joke seriously and actually considering Millie as Billy's future wife.
"I'll take Millie inside now," Nathan said, holding Millie's hand.
Nora snapped out of her thoughts and nodded. "Okay."
"Millie, say goodbye to your mommy," Nathan said to Millie.
"Goodbye, Mommy," Millie waved her little hand.
"Be good."
"Okay."
Nathan nodded slightly to Nora and led Millie into the classroom.
Nora stood at the door for a while, watching Nathan lead Millie to a seat and patiently talk to her.
She smiled and left.
Nathan said a few words to Millie, then stood up slightly.
His gaze fell on the door. Seeing that Nora had left, he curved a faint smile, an inexplicable glint flashing in his eyes.
Not long after Nora left the building, the Hamilton family's driver arrived.
He was there to wait for Millie to finish her class.
Nora knew Adelbert was worried Millie might get hungry, so he had the driver wait there to take Millie home for dinner.
So Nora didn't insist and greeted the driver before heading back home.
At that moment, Emma was having the servants decorate the children's room.
Although the children's room had been set up earlier, Emma was not satisfied and was adding and removing a few things.
She was more enthusiastic about it than Kenneth and Sandy.
Seeing Nora return, she looked puzzled. "Why are you back today? Not staying home with Aaron?"
Emma was full of complaints about Nora always staying at Aaron's villa.
Nora hugged her arm with a smile. "Mom, I missed you."
"Don't give me that. Is it because Aaron is on a business trip?" Emma saw right through her.
