Chapter 948 Shouldn't Take it Serious

"Okay."

Johnnie didn't hesitate for a second.

"Anything else you want to eat?"

Gabriella watched him closely, feeling a little flutter in her heart.

"Just get whatever you think is good."

"Alright."

Johnnie helped her up. "It might take a while. I got you some pastries last night. If you get hungry, have some."

He headed to the inner room to change and grab breakfast.

Gabriella watched his tall frame, her eyes flickering.

She was testing him, but Johnnie stayed thoughtful.

Gabriella, from Hchilia, had an open mind and lifestyle.

Her job had hardened her, stripping away any naiveté.

She knew men well, thinking they were realistic and opportunistic.

Her exes were more about pleasure.

If she had her period, they wouldn't stick around.

But Johnnie was different.

Gabriella followed him, watching him take off his shirt, revealing his toned body. She hugged him from behind.

Johnnie's muscles tensed.

"What's up?"

Gabriella pressed her face to his back, gently rubbing.

"Johnnie, isn't it said men get addicted after sex? If you can't hold it, should I find you someone?"

Johnnie frowned, pulled her hands away, and turned to her.

"Gabriella, I'm not a casual guy. If I can't control myself, I don't deserve to be called a man."

His serious look made Gabriella want to laugh.

She hugged him again. "Are you sure you can hold it? Then why did you end up in my bed with just a little tease?"

Johnnie was speechless and a bit annoyed. "Gabriella, what are you trying to say?"

Gabriella laughed. "Are you mad? I just want to hear you say you like me."

Johnnie looked at her, his ears turning red.

Gabriella touched his chest. "Johnnie, if you didn't like me, you wouldn't have ended up in my bed, right?"

Johnnie pulled her hand away, looking uncomfortable.

"Stop messing around, let me get dressed."

Gabriella smiled at his evasive eyes. "Come on, did you fall for me at first sight?"

Johnnie cleared his throat. "Do you still want breakfast? If we delay, you'll be the one with an empty stomach."

Gabriella tilted her head. "Are you shy? What's so embarrassing about saying you like me?"

Johnnie pushed her away, picked up his shirt, and put it on.

Gabriella kept pressing. "Really not going to say it?"

Johnnie finished buttoning his shirt and glanced at her.

"Yes, I fell for you at first sight. You're so charming that my self-control weakens around you. Happy now?"

Gabriella giggled. "Why do I feel like you said that under duress?"

Johnnie gave her a sidelong glance. "You're hard to please."

He changed into his trousers, transforming into a business elite.

Gabriella looked at him, feeling quite pleased.

"Hmm, suddenly I don't feel like eating cake anymore."

Johnnie paused while dressing. "Are you messing with me?"

Gabriella hugged his waist, stood on tiptoe, and kissed his Adam's apple.

"Johnnie, I really want to eat you right now."

Johnnie's breath hitched, his Adam's apple moving involuntarily.

He pulled her hands away, his voice a bit hoarse. "Stop teasing me."

Gabriella laughed, noticing his reddened ears.

Johnnie took a deep breath. "Tell me, what do you really want to eat?"

"Just get whatever you think is good, but don't take too long. I'd like to eat as soon as I'm done freshening up. I'm really hungry."

Gabriella touched her abdomen and headed to the bathroom.

'This little brat.' Johnnie shook his head, grabbed his suit, and left quickly.

In the bathroom, Gabriella brushed her teeth and washed her face, looking a bit distracted.

Rafael's words flashed through her mind.

Rafael wanted her to sabotage the cooperation between Mateo and Aaron, to tarnish Mateo's reputation.

How should she do it?

The mirror seemed to reflect Johnnie's handsome face.

Johnnie looked at her with disappointment.

'Are you really going to help others against Mr. Gordon and Mrs. Gordon? Gabriella, I didn't expect you to be this kind of person. You've really let me down!'

Gabriella paused, spat out the toothpaste, and splashed water on her face.

She chuckled at her reflection.

'Gabriella, what are you thinking?'

'You and he are just having fun. You shouldn't take this relationship serious.'

Gabriella wiped her face and calmed down.

After freshening up, she prepared to change her sanitary pad.

A large pack of sanitary pads was quietly placed to the side.

There were several brands inside.

Gabriella looked at them, imagining the strange looks Johnnie must have gotten from the salespeople.

Smiling, she took one and put it on, pushing all the messy thoughts out of her mind.

She left the bathroom just as the door opened.

Johnnie came back with a bag.

Gabriella raised an eyebrow. "Back so soon?"

Johnnie placed the bag on the table.

"Do you know the most important thing about being an executive assistant?"

"What?"

"Punctuality. When the boss says to be there at a certain time, I must arrive early."

Gabriella walked over gracefully, teasing, "So is Mr. Gordon that strict with his subordinates?"

Johnnie shook his head. "It's not about strictness," he clarified, "It's about the kind of awareness an executive assistant needs to have. After all, the salary for an executive assistant is not low."

Johnnie was Aaron's staunch defender.

Whenever she said something against Aaron, Johnnie would defend him in every way.

"Come have breakfast." Johnnie pulled out a chair for her.

Gabriella came back to her senses, walked to the table, and sat down, taking the milk and bread he handed over.

She had to admit, Johnnie was really attentive.

She had only mentioned once that she was tired of drinking coffee every day in Hchilia and didn't want to drink coffee every day after coming to Chrisland.

Johnnie remembered her words and never gave her coffee again.

Gabriella lowered her eyes, quietly eating breakfast.

After a while, she said, "Our royal Prince Mateo will be visiting Chrisland today. Aaron will probably go to the airport to pick him up. Why don't we go together?"
