Chapter 559 Is She A Gangster?

Aaron looked at Zephyr and said, "Don't just stand there. She has fainted and won't slap you again. Hurry up and carry her on your back."

When it came to saving a life, Zephyr didn't say anything more and obediently crouched down.

Aaron smiled and helped the woman onto Zephyr's back with Nora.

The woman probably weighed around one hundred pounds.

Because she had fainted and was wet, her weight suddenly increased.

Zephyr staggered, almost falling, and quickly stabilized himself by using his hands.

Aaron teased, "Dr. Wright, you seem a bit weak."

He was so weak, yet he still wanted to compete with Kenneth for the woman.

He was too overconfident!

Zephyr carried the woman on his back and said, "Mr. Gordon, please stop mocking me, okay?"

Aaron looked at Nora and said, "Nora, come here, I'll carry you. Let Dr. Wright see the strength of your man."

Nora replied, "Stop fooling around. Go find a place and prepare for the surgery."

Upon hearing this, Aaron's expression turned serious.

"Alright, I'll make the arrangements," Aaron said.

He quickly walked past Nora to take care of the surgery arrangements.

Nora assisted by supporting Zephyr. Together, they carried the woman into an empty room arranged by Aaron.

This empty room was originally a fisherman's home.

However, everyone in the house had passed away, leaving it vacant.

With Blaze's help, the house was repurposed as a temporary medical facility.

Aaron had the medical team quickly prepare everything, bringing in stretchers, medical instruments, and more for the surgery.

Zephyr carried the woman into the room while Nora prepared to perform the surgery herself.

"Nora, do you need any help?" Sandy walked over.

"No, you go rest. I'll assist Dr. Hamilton," Zephyr said, wiping his sweat.

"Yes, Sandy, you don't need to help. Just go rest." Nora agreed.

Sandy looked at the busy group, feeling a bit helpless.

She suddenly felt like she would become someone with nothing to do in the future.

She also wanted to perform surgeries!

"Ms. Hernandez, please step back a bit, be careful not to touch anything," one of the attendants reminded her as medical staff moved in and out.

Sandy, feeling helpless, could only step back.

"Aaron, please close the door," Nora instructed, leaving two medical staff members with Aaron.

"Okay." Aaron helped close the door.

Nora and Zephyr changed into surgical gowns, disinfected their hands, and prepared to start the surgery.

The woman had two gunshot wounds, one in the leg and one in the chest.

The chest wound was particularly dangerous; if the bullet had deviated slightly, she would have lost her life.

"Who is she? How did she get gunshot wounds?" Zephyr murmured as he put on his mask.

His gaze swept over the woman's toned abdominal muscles and muscular arms. Recalling her sharp gaze, he squinted.

"Could she be a gangster?" Zephyr asked.

Nora, while examining the woman, chuckled and said, "A gangster? Why can't she be a police officer?"

Zephyr retorted, "Do you think the police would casually slap someone?"

He was still quite upset about that slap.

Unable to contain her laughter, Nora said, "Ask her when she wakes up."

"Alright," Zephyr said.

The two stopped chatting and focused on performing the surgery.

Outside, Aaron received a call from Ebenezer inquiring about the situation.

"We've arrived. Everything is arranged. Everything is fine," Aaron replied.

"Thank you," Ebenezer said.

"You're welcome," Aaron replied.

After a moment of silence, Ebenezer asked, "When will you and Nora be back?"

Aaron glanced at the closed door and said, "Something unexpected just happened here. Nora is performing surgery on someone. We might be back a bit later."

"I understand. Let's talk when you return," Ebenezer said.

"Alright." Aaron hung up.

It seemed that Ebenezer had something to discuss with her.

Recently, Hamilton's Group had been turbulent.

Due to Kenneth's incident, Hamilton's Group's competitors had seized several projects under Kenneth's responsibility.

The stock of Hamilton's Group had been unstable, indicating a potential crisis for the company.

Ebenezer probably wanted them to return to discuss the company's affairs.

"Mr. Gordon, thank you once again for your assistance here. On behalf of everyone here, I offer you our sincerest gratitude," Blaze said with a smile.

They were preparing to leave.

Aaron said, "You're welcome. Since you all are busy, I won't disturb you."

"Alright, about the construction..." Blaze said.

"Tomorrow, I'll send someone over to coordinate with you," Aaron said.

"Okay, then we'll head back now." Blaze looked particularly happy.

Aaron nodded and watched them leave.

"Mr. Gordon, please come inside and rest for a bit. Have some water," Sandy called out to him.

Aaron agreed and followed her inside.

The room had undergone significant changes due to the modern equipment, resembling an apartment.

An elderly lady sat in a chair, smiling happily.

A servant poured a glass of water for Aaron.

He sat down, took out his laptop, and began working, waiting for Nora to finish the surgery.

After about three hours, the surgery finally concluded.

"Vital signs are stable," Zephyr reported.

Nora nodded, relieved. "We've done a good job."

"Yes," Zephyr said.

Nora smiled, removed her mask to wash her hands, and said, "Next, you need to monitor her condition closely. Although she's out of immediate danger now, we need to watch for any postoperative complications."

As a doctor, Zephyr understood this well.

However, he confidently stated, "Don't worry, she will definitely pull through."

Nora glanced at him and teased, "Are you still holding a grudge for that slap she gave you earlier?"

As he washed his hands, Zephyr replied, "This concerns my reputation. How could she slap me like that?"

Nora, also washing her hands, asked, "Do you know what you should do when you are slapped?"

Zephyr said, "What else can I do? I wouldn't retaliate against a woman."

Nora remarked, "No, you should offer the other side of your face for another slap."

Zephyr fell silent.

The two bantered back and forth. After washing her hands, Nora looked at him and said seriously,

"Dr. Wright, you're a good man. But I won't let Sandy and Kenneth divorce. So..."

Before she could finish, Zephyr interrupted her. "Dr. Hamilton, you don't need to keep reminding me of that. I have no ulterior motives; I want to stay by her side and ensure her safety silently."

Nora gazed at him, saying, "Are you a masochist?"

After a moment of silence, Zephyr countered with a question, "If one day you were forced to separate from Mr. Gordon, and he had done nothing wrong but was forced to leave you and be with another woman, could you also let go?"
