Chapter 508 Framed
Nora's smile froze on her face and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Kenneth drank too much and had an upset stomach. He asked me to bring him some medicine," Sandy explained.
"I see." Nora quickly responded, "All right, you should go then."
"I'm sorry for making you come all this way for nothing," Sandy apologized.
"It's okay. I have plenty of free time anyway," Nora replied with a smile.
"Then, I'll hang up now," Sandy said.
"Okay," Nora ended the call and then stared at her phone screen.
Something seemed off.
Kenneth asked Sandy to bring him medicine.
Doesn't he have an assistant?
He could have just asked the assistant to buy some medicine from the pharmacy.
Why did he specifically ask Sandy to bring it over?
But then again, it could be Kenneth's excuse to see Sandy!
Nora smiled faintly and didn't dwell on it much.
Later, whenever Nora thought about this incident, she wished she had warned Sandy.
Would things have turned out differently if she had?
On the other side, Sandy arrived at a high-end club.
She looked at the private room number Kenneth had sent her and took the elevator directly to the third floor.
After finding room 3088, she double-checked and then opened the door and walked in, where the curtains were drawn, and it was dimly lit.
Sandy closed her eyes for a moment to adjust to the darkness.
But as soon as she did, she heard footsteps behind her.
Then, a sharp pain shot through her neck.
Someone was attacking her!
Sandy screamed and abruptly opened her eyes.
She held her neck and slowly turned around, trying to see who it was.
But all she could make out was a blurry figure.
Sandy blacked out. When she woke up again, she found herself naked in bed with a man who turned out to be Zephyr, which shocked her.
How could she be in bed with Zephyr?
Sandy's face turned ashen. She glanced at the scattered clothes on the floor and then hurriedly got out of bed in a panic.
Zephyr also began to wake up on the bed.
When he saw Sandy, he sat up and said, "Cora?"
Sandy was in the process of getting dressed, and when she heard his voice, she froze.
Then she turned to look at Zephyr. As she gazed at his exposed chest, she bit her lip and picked up the clothes from the floor, handing them to him.
"You should put your clothes on first," she advised.
Zephyr was still a bit confused as he moved and realized that he was completely naked.
Did he really sleep with Cora?
Zephyr was puzzled and asked, "Cora, what's going on?"
Sandy, with her back to him, asked as she continued dressing, "Why are you here?"
Zephyr was stunned and answered, "Didn't you message me and ask me to come here to talk?"
Sandy paused in her actions and turned to look at him, retorting, "I didn't."
Zephyr's brow furrowed with frustration. He asked, "How is that possible? I clearly received a message from you; that's why I came."
However, when he entered, he seemed to smell a strange fragrance, and then he lost consciousness.
Seeing that he was still naked, Sandy bit her lip and said, "You should put your clothes on first."
Zephyr also realized that something was off, so he quickly dressed.
Meanwhile, he found his phone in his coat pocket and saw a message.
He continued, "Look, this is your number, right? I really did receive a message from you; that's why I came."
Sandy's face turned ashen. She knew that someone had set them up.
Someone wanted to disgrace her!
"Quick, get dressed. We need to leave here." she urged.
While putting on his clothes, Zephyr furrowed and asked, "What's really going on? Is someone trying to frame us?"
"Let's get out first," Sandy declared.
Her mind was in chaos. She only knew that they had to leave quickly.
Just then, the door was forcefully pushed open.
Kenneth stormed in, and Ayden followed closely behind him.
When Kenneth saw the two of them dressing, his face turned incredibly dark.
"What are you doing!" he almost shouted, showing how angry he was.
During his lunch break, he had considered calling her to inquire about the move.
However, she didn't pick up his calls, not even after he tried twice.
Concerned, he contacted the housekeeper to inquire about Sandy's location.
The housekeeper informed him that Sandy had left.
Worried that something might have happened, he tasked Ayden with locating her.
Shortly after, Ayden discovered her whereabouts.
Ayden mentioned that he had checked the club's surveillance footage and saw Sandy and Zephyr entering a private room, but they had yet to come out.
Now, both of them needed to be fully dressed. He knew exactly what had just happened!
"Kenneth, it's not what you think. Let me explain," Sandy explained, her face full of panic.
Kenneth stared at her, suppressing his anger, and said, "All right, I'll listen to your explanation. Why were you with him here? Why are you both in disarray?"
Was this all just a misunderstanding?
Sandy swallowed hard, trying to calm her inner panic.
"Kenneth, someone is trying to frame me. I did receive your message asking me to bring you medicine, that's why I came here. But as soon as I entered, someone knocked me out. If you don't believe me, you can check my phone", she explained.
She took out her phone, hoping to find the message Kenneth had sent her.
But the message was nowhere to be found on her phone.
The message Kenneth sent her was gone.
"Where is the message?" Sandy said aloud.
Kenneth asked and waited to see the message, but all he saw was her staring blankly at her phone.
Sandy didn't know how to explain. As she looked at Kenneth's cold and terrifying expression, she anxiously grabbed his hand.
Sandy pleaded, "Kenneth, I'm not lying to you. I received your message, that's why I came. You have to believe me."
Kenneth's face was filled with a heavy frost.
Kenneth remarked, "You want me to believe you? How can I believe you when you and he are in this state?"
Sandy swallowed hard and thought of something, and quickly said, "It must be the person who knocked me out. They deleted the message you sent me. Kenneth, you can check the surveillance. Someone was waiting here in advance, and after I entered, they knocked me out and deleted the message."
At that moment, Ayden suddenly interjected.
Ayden informed, "Mrs. Hamilton, I've checked the surveillance. You and Mr. Wright entered the private room one after the other. There was no one else entering or leaving the room before or after that. It seems like the two of you arranged to meet here in advance."
How could this be possible?
Sandy's face turned ashen, tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't know how to explain.
"Kenneth..." she tried to explain.
"Don't call me!" Kenneth shouted and pushed her away, his expression extremely cold.
Kenneth said angrily, "Sandy, do you think I'm easily deceived? I've always gone along with everything you say. Even when there were rumors outside that you were a jinx, I still protected you. I didn't want you to suffer. Is this how you repay me? I must have been wrong about you!"
Sandy was thrown to the ground. She looked at Kenneth, tears streaming down her face, and shook her head desperately.
