Chapter 639 Witness How Deeply You Love Each Other
"Mr. Gordon, we just came to find you. Were you locked in a room?" Noe asked.
Aaron nodded and said, "Yes. Fortunately, Seraphina and Elara have different temperaments. I persuaded her, and she finally brought me out to find you."
Noe glanced at Seraphina, who was standing next to Deborah, speaking gently and obediently, and said, "She still has some conscience."
"Mr. Gordon, to take you back home, Dr. Smith promised to save a critically ill patient, Ruth. If she saves Ruth, Deborah will unconditionally release you."
Aaron's eyebrows softened a little. He said, "I really appreciate everything she has done."
Nora was really smart to notice his absence.
He wondered what the man who looked exactly like him was up to now, and whether he had appeared by Nora's side.
"Noe, how did you find this place? Did you use the Jones' intel network?" Aaron asked.
"Yes," Noe replied.
Aaron looked at Alex and Erin, feeling somewhat sentimental.
It was unbelievable that the intelligence network would find him in his time of need.
When he returned, he must pay his respects to the deceased Matthew!
"Mr. Gordon, how did you end up here, and what happened exactly?" Noe asked, "Dr. Smith mentioned that a fake version of you has appeared in Lindwood City. Do you know who that person is?"
A series of questions made Aaron's expression more serious.
Seeing Deborah and Seraphina looking over, he whispered, "This is not the place to discuss these matters. Let's talk about it after we leave."
"Understood," Noe replied.
After two more hours of surgery, Nora and several medical staff finally came out.
Deborah, supported by Seraphina, hurried over, asking, "Dr. Smith, how is Ruth?"
Nora removed her mask and said, "The surgery was very successful, and she is out of danger now. She just needs to rest and take medication on time."
Upon hearing this, Deborah was overjoyed and said, "Dr. Smith, thank you so much."
Nora smiled. "Chief, you're welcome. I just hope you will keep your promise."
Deborah glanced at Elara, saying, "As I said, as long as you can save Ruth, I will agree to your request."
"Thank you," Nora said.
At this moment, Aaron was supported by Noe and approached, saying, "Nora."
Upon hearing the familiar voice and seeing the familiar figure, Nora was slightly stunned, then shouted with excitement, "Aaron!"
Aaron smiled, broke free from Noe's support, and opened his arms towards Nora.
Nora's eyes slightly reddened, and she ran towards him with joy, embracing him tightly. She could smell Aaron's familiar scent, and her eyes moistened uncontrollably.
Nora closed her eyes, holding Aaron tightly, suppressing the tears in her eyes.
This was the Aaron she deeply loved because she was so familiar with his scent, unlike the impostor before. Even a touch from him felt strange to her!
She had finally found Aaron!
Elara, behind her, watched this scene in shock and anger.
How did Aaron get out? Who let him out?
Her gaze fell on Seraphina, and Elara was furious; she asked, "Seraphina, how did he end up here? Did you bring him out?"
Seraphina felt guilty and nodded lightly. "Elara, I brought him out."
With a crisp sound, Elara slapped Seraphina, saying, "Seraphina, you disobeyed my orders again. How many times have you defied me?"
Seraphina covered her face, feeling wronged, but did not retort because she had indeed acted on her own.
Deborah glanced at Elara, frowned, and said, displeased, "Elara, why did you hit Seraphina? Dr. Smith has saved Ruth. You should let Aaron go."
Elara was very angry and said, "These are two different matters. Seraphina disobeyed me, showing no respect for me as her sister. I won't keep such a disloyal person by my side!"
Upon hearing this, Seraphina was shocked and said, "Elara, what do you mean? Are you casting me aside?"
Elara glared at Seraphina and said, "Didn't I tell you that if you dare to disobey my orders again, I will banish you from Lumirians? Seraphina, it seems like you're getting increasingly defiant; maybe I should let go and let you live the life you want!"
Seraphina pleaded, "Elara."
"Don't say anything more; I don't want to talk to you right now!" Elara, still angry, coldly interrupted Seraphina and then walked over to Aaron and Nora, who were about to leave.
She said, "Stop; where are you two going?"
Nora supported Aaron, looking wary.
"Ms. Everhart, the chieftain has spoken. I can take my boyfriend away. Are you going to disobey even the chieftain's orders?" Nora asked.
Elara looked at her, "Of course, I will obey the chieftain's orders, but have you forgotten something?"
"What?"
"I saved your boyfriend's life. If I want to take it back, I have every right to do so."
Elara's gaze shifted to Aaron; she said, "Aaron, I can let you go back, but if I'm not happy, I can also let your girlfriend take your body back!"
Upon hearing this, Aaron's face darkened, his brown eyes fixed on her without speaking.
Nora pulled him behind her, asking, "Ms. Everhart, what do you want to do?"
Noe and Frederick beside them tensed up, standing in front of the two.
A bodyguard stepped forward to shield Alex and Erin.
They all had a defensive posture.
Elara looked at Aaron through the crowd and said, "Aaron, are you going to be a coward? So, this is all you are."
Aaron stepped out from behind Nora, asking, "Elara, what do you want?"
"I just asked you, how do you repay the debt of saving your life to me?" Elara said.
Aaron fell silent for a moment and said, "This place is remote, with poor transportation. If you need it, I can do my best to help you develop Lumirians. What do you think?"
"I'm not interested! We Lumirians have our characteristics, and I don't need your help." Elara rejected outright.
Aaron's expression turned cold; he asked, "Then what do you want?"
Elara stared at him and said, "Either you return the favor, or let me see how deeply you and your girlfriend are in love! Why are you so desperate to leave and be with her!"
Aaron narrowed his brown eyes and asked, "How exactly do you want me prove it?"
Elara looked at the nearby mountains, saying, "Do you see that back mountain? As long as you and your girlfriend stay there overnight, come out safely the next day, and the debt you owned me will be settled."
Elara instructed him and Nora to stay overnight in the mountains.
Aaron looked at the undulating mountains, his lips pressed lightly.
He didn't know whether there were wild beasts in the mountains.
Even if there were no wild beasts, there could be other dangers.
He didn't want to drag Nora into trouble.
