Chapter 914 Would He Cheat On Nora?
Jane turned her head, raising an eyebrow. "Emilio, what are you doing here?"
Emilio, dressed in a dark suit, took off his glasses, revealing his handsome face. "Why can't I be here? Don't forget my status."
He looked Jane up and down, a hint of amazement in his eyes. It was the first time he had seen her so dressed up. She looked stunning!
"Right, how could I forget you're a rich guy too. Are you here to socialize for your dad?" Jane asked.
Emilio took a glass of wine from a passing waiter, neither confirming nor denying. He had come to this party on purpose. Emilio just wanted to see how Jane would handle business talks with Zephyr.
Yesterday, he had confessed his feelings to Jane over the phone, not knowing if she understood. Emilio didn't dare to confess face-to-face because he feared that if he did, they wouldn't even be friends anymore. So he could only half-jokingly confess over the phone.
In truth, Emilio was anxious. He couldn't wait to attend the party, also to see Jane's reaction. Would she ignore him? But seeing Jane like this now, she probably hadn't thought that far. After all, Jane had always been carefree, treating him like a younger brother, never mulling over his feelings.

Jane glanced at her shoulder and replied, "Not really, isn't this how women usually dress?"
Emilio gave her a look and mocked, "Now you consider yourself a woman?"
Jane was speechless. "When have I not considered myself a woman?"
Emilio said, "When you're working."
Jane smiled and said, "Therefore, now I want to be a woman for once."
Emilio looked into her beautiful eyes, then glanced over at Zephyr talking to someone else, and asked with a frown, "Is it for him again?"
"Yes." Jane's gaze fell on Zephyr, her eyes softening.
Emilio felt stifled and asked, "What do you even like about him?"
Jane frowned slightly, about to speak, when she caught a familiar figure out of the corner of her eye. It was Aaron.
Jane's eyes lit up, losing interest in joking with Emilio, and she wanted to go greet Aaron. But when she saw who was with Aaron, Jane paused, her eyes narrowing slightly.
At that moment, the person accompanying Aaron was Gabriella. Gabriella leaned close to Aaron's ear, saying something, almost pressing her body against him. And after hearing Gabriella's words, Aaron just smiled slightly, not keeping his distance. Then, Gabriella motioned for him to lower his head. Aaron complied. Gabriella then raised her hand to remove something from Aaron's head. They looked very intimate.
Jane couldn't help but frown. She knew Nora and Aaron had a good relationship, but she also knew Aaron was handsome and came from a good family, so he must have many admirers. 'Would Aaron cheat on Nora?' she thought.
"Jane, I'm talking to you, are you listening?" Emilio said a few words but got no response from Jane, so he said unhappily.
"Wait a minute, I see someone I know, I'm going to say hello."
Jane didn't have time to deal with Emilio. She lifted her dress and walked toward Aaron.
Watching her leave, Emilio wanted to follow, but Zephyr, who was talking to someone, called out to him, "Emilio."
Emilio stopped and turned to look at him. "What's up?"
Zephyr smiled slightly. "Thanks for always helping me and Jane."
He made sure to include Jane in his thanks.
Emilio said coldly, "Zephyr, get it straight. I'm not helping you; I'm helping Jane."
Zephyr didn't mind Emilio's unfriendly attitude. "Either way, Jane is my girlfriend. Helping her is helping me."
Emilio got a bit angry. "Zephyr, you don't need to keep emphasizing that Jane is your girlfriend. Aren't you ashamed to always need a woman to help you?"
Zephyr remained calm. "I know I have many shortcomings, and I'm very grateful that Jane is in my life. The fact that Jane helps me unconditionally means I've won her heart."
Emilio didn't expect him to be so eloquent, feeling annoyed. "Zephyr, just talking isn't enough. If you don't want me to look down on you, you'd better work harder and stop asking for Jane's help."
Although Emilio's words were harsh, they had some truth to them. Zephyr didn't feel his pride was hurt. Because that was exactly what he needed to work on. He wouldn't always rely on Jane. He wouldn't always be looked down upon.
Looking at Jane talking to Aaron, Zephyr frowned and thought, 'Is Jane really seeking outside help?'
Over there, Jane greeted Aaron, "Mr. Gordon."
Aaron didn't expect to see Jane here. He was a bit surprised. "Officer Harvey?"
Jane smiled slightly. "Mr. Gordon, I'm now Zephyr's assistant. He officially joined the Wright Group, and I'm here with him for a banquet."
Aaron raised an eyebrow, nodding in understanding.
Jane changed the subject. "Mr. Gordon, you returned from Hchilia. Did Dr. Smith come back with you?"
"No, she has to stay there for a while longer." Aaron looked regretful.
Jane smiled. "Really, you must miss her a lot then."
"Yes, I wish I could fly over to see her every night," Aaron said.
Jane smiled again, looking at Gabriella. "Mr. Gordon, this beautiful lady is..."
Before Aaron could introduce, Gabriella smiled and said, "I'm Gabriella, Mr. Gordon's business partner."
"Hello, I'm Jane." Jane nodded slightly at Gabriella, her face showing a distant smile.
At this moment, Zephyr walked over. "Mr. Gordon."
Aaron nodded slightly. "Dr. Wright, have you recovered?"
Zephyr replied, "Yes, thank you and Dr. Smith."
Aaron smiled. "Should I start calling you Mr. Wright now?"
Zephyr didn't deny it. "I'd really appreciate it if Mr. Gordon could give me some more guidance in the future."
Aaron said, "Don't be so formal. Helping each other out is what friends do."
Jane, listening to their exchange, interjected, "Mr. Gordon, do you know..."
"Mr. Gordon, thank you in advance. Feel free to enjoy yourself." Zephyr quickly interrupted Jane, nodded slightly to Aaron, and pulled Jane away.
In a corner, Jane asked, "Zephyr, why did you pull me away?"
Zephyr looked at Jane. "What were you trying to do, ask Mr. Gordon if he knows Finnegan?"
