Chapter 583 You Don't Want Me Once You Have a Fiance

Aaron stuck to Nora all the way.

Nora's phone rang. It was Emma calling.

Nora glanced at him, saying, "My mom is calling. What should I say?"

Aaron said, "Tell her my stomach hurts, and you need to stay at my place tonight to take care of me."

Nora said with a smile, "Do you think my mom will believe that?"

Aaron scratched his brow and took her phone, saying, "Let me talk to her. I'll take the scolding if I have to."

Seeing he was about to answer, Nora quickly grabbed the phone back.

She said, "Alright. I'll handle it."

Aaron saw her answer the call, reached out, and held one of her hands, playing with it, a hint of a smile flickering in his eyes.

He knew Nora loved him.

Nora wouldn't let him be scolded!

Nora answered the phone, "Mom."

Emma asked, "Why haven't you both come back? Is there something off again?"

Her tone was somewhat worried; it seemed she had seen the news.

Nora said, "No. Mom, don't worry about Howard. Everything has been resolved; Howard should be on his way home now."

Emma sighed in relief and said, "I didn't expect the Swift family to be so malicious. Just because Evella rejected his proposal, he retaliated against Howard."

Nora said, "Yes. Kevin is too narrow-minded."

Emma said, "However, Howard is implicated because of Evella."

She knew Emma was against Howard being with Evella.

Nora said, "Mom, you're overthinking again. You'll have another white hair tomorrow. Alright, go upstairs and sleep early."

Emma said, "I'll wait for you to come back before I sleep."

Nora coughed lightly.

"Mom, I'm not going back tonight."

"Why?"

Nora smiled mischieviously, "Mom, you know."

They were both women.

She didn't want to lie to Emma anymore.

Emma said, "You don't want me once you have a fiance."

There was a hint of upset in her tone; Nora was speechless.

"I won't. I'll be back tomorrow."

"Is this Aaron's idea?"

"No. It's mine."

"Stop covering for him. He looks honest but secretly likes to come up with bad ideas!"

Nora glanced at Aaron sitting beside her and couldn't help but smile.

"Mom, I'm hanging up. You should sleep early."

"Take it easy, don't stay up too late."

"I got it!"

After hanging up, Nora slapped Aaron's hand.

"Did you hear that? My mom said take it easy on me; Don't stay up too late messing around," she said.

Aaron chuckled softly, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her cheek.

He said, "Then maybe I will let you take the lead."

"Get lost."

"Nora, we're in the car; I can't really get lost."

"You're boring!"

"Then let's chat."

Frederick drove while listening to their banter all the way. He felt relieved when he finally dropped them off at the villa.

Nora entered. Looking at the familiar hall and the familiar rooms, she felt a sense of warmth everywhere.

Aaron hugged her from behind.

His hot kisses fell like raindrops.

Nora felt his urgency and passion. She turned around, hooked her arms around his neck, and closed her eyes, responding bit by bit.

Aaron breathed heavily, kissing her while eagerly taking off her coat.

They fell on the sofa.

The lights were off in the room.

Only a faint light from outside seeped in, casting a shadow of the entwined couple on the sofa.

Darkness bred infinite fantasies and ambiguities.

Aaron buried his head in Nora's neck. He smelled her intoxicating scent and listened to her increasingly charming hums.

That night, the large villa was filled with the scent of love.

And those blush-inducing adult scenes.

Two days later, Nora and Evella both received a message from Rachel. Rachel invited them to the Romero family's estate in the suburbs for her birthday party.

Rachel was very eloquent.

She probably wanted to invite Howard to her birthday party the most.

But she only mentioned in the message that she wouldn't individually invite gentlemen, asking the ladies to bring their male companions.

Nora's companion was Aaron.

However, Aaron was on a business trip today and couldn't make it.

Evella was now Howard's girlfriend and naturally had to go with him.

But Howard had a last-minute surgery and would be late.

So, Nora and Evella took their gifts for Rachel and went to the Romero family's estate together.

Every wealthy family had countless real estate.

These suburban estates, usually unoccupied, were specifically used for hosting banquets and entertaining guests.

The Romero family was no exception.

When Nora and Evella arrived, many people were already at the estate.

Most of the people Rachel invited were young.

The Romero family's servants welcomed them in. They walked through a large lawn, hearing laughter and chatter ahead.

Several long tables were set up on the lawn, covered with beautiful tablecloths, and filled with various fruits and snacks.

Twenty to thirty men and women dressed elegantly were gathered together, chatting.

"Miss, guests have arrived," The servant said to Rachel.

Rachel was wearing a white dress with a princess hairstyle, holding a wine glass, and turned around.

She said, "Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Remington, you're here. Didn't Mr. Gordon and Mr. Howard come together?"

Nora said with a smile, "Sorry, Aaron is on a business trip. Howard had a last-minute surgery and will come later."

Upon hearing her words, several girls sighed regretfully.

They were probably waiting for Howard all along, not expecting him to be absent.

"Alright. Please make yourselves at home; don't be shy." Rachel smiled gracefully.

Nora and Evella handed their gifts to Rachel.

Nora gave her a diamond-studded butterfly brooch.

Evella prepared diamond-studded earrings.

"Rachel, open them up, and let us see what they got you." A stylishly dressed girl squeezed over, her voice loud.

She was Rachel's cousin, Linda, who had just come of age.

"Linda, don't be so rude," Rachel scolded.

"It's okay, you don't mind, right." Linda smiled innocently.

Nora felt Linda was difficult to deal with because her eyes carried a hint of hostility.

"Go ahead." Nora smiled.

"Alright," Linda said and first opened the gift box Nora gave and took out the brooch.

"A brooch, who gave this?" she asked.
