Chapter 864 Did you still want to marry him?
"That's too much, babe," Hugo said, clearly annoyed.
Aisha laughed and, unconcerned with onlookers, stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the lips.
"Alright, go make some money. If you earn enough to support us, I can focus on being beautiful."
Seeing her kiss him so openly, Hugo's expression softened a bit.
"So, I am somewhat useful?"
Aisha adjusted his already neat collar and said sweetly, "Of course, no one said you were useless."
Hugo stared at her beautiful face, his eyes deepening.
"Babe, I'll come see you tonight."
Aisha replied, "If you're busy, you don't have to come."
Hugo said, "No matter how busy I am, I can make time."
He leaned close to Aisha's ear, whispering, "Dr. Smith said to take it easy, but she didn't forbid everything, did she?"
Aisha's ears turned red, and seeing the hint of desire in his heated gaze, she laughed.
"Can't you stand it?"
"With such a beautiful wife, how could I?"
Aisha chuckled. "Go get busy."
Hugo added, "Alright, wait for me tonight."
Seeing the couple so affectionate, Jasmine's fingers tightened bit by bit.
Hugo's warning was still fresh in her mind. Jasmine suddenly felt like a bird trapped in a cage, only able to watch a world that didn't belong to her, powerless.
"Here."
Suddenly, a candy appeared in front of her.
Jasmine was startled and turned slightly, seeing James's calm face.
"For me?"
"Yes." James's expression was indifferent.
Jasmine glanced at Millie playing nearby, asking, "Did you steal Millie's candy?"
James glanced at her and replied, "I wouldn't take Millie's things. I bought this. It's orange-flavored; you should like it."
James had bought it especially for her. Jasmine's heart stirred slightly as she slowly took the candy.
"How did you know I like orange-flavored candy?"
"Just a guess. I see you often eat oranges," James said calmly.
"That's sweet of you to notice."
James unwrapped the candy for her. "When you're in a bad mood, eating something sweet might make you feel better."
Jasmine took the lollipop again, her eyes flickering. "I'm not in a bad mood."
James didn't argue, pretending not to hear, and walked over to Millie, picking her up.
"Are you happy to go out for play?"
"Yes, there's horses there. Uncle James, can you ride a horse?" Millie giggled.
"Of course."
"Can you teach me to ride a horse?"
"Of course."
"Great! Mommy, Aunt Aisha, Aunt Seraphina, let's go!"
Millie's cheerful voice echoed in the air as everyone got ready to leave.
After consulting with Aisha, Nora called Noe, asking him to join them at Whispering Woods Resort after he finished his work.
They were all young, so it was like a group trip.
They took two cars, with Nora, Aisha, and Seraphina taking Millie in one car. Jasmine, James, and Frederick took the other car.
With Millie in Nora's car, it was filled with laughter and joy.
The other car was much quieter.
James and Frederick were not talkative people.
Jasmine, looking out the window, seemed a bit distracted.
After nearly an hour's drive, they arrived at Whispering Woods Resort in the suburbs.
The Whispering Woods Resort covered 0.7 square miles.
It had all kinds of recreational activities, including horse riding, golf, vineyards, farms, and more.
It was evening, and the clouds in the sky were beautifully red under the sunset.
The air here was exceptionally fresh, the sky blue, and the water clear. Being here seemed to make one forget all worries.
A dozen servants from Whispering Woods Resort had been waiting at the entrance for their arrival. Next to them were sightseeing cars, ready to welcome them.
Aisha led everyone onto the sightseeing car, which slowly drove into Whispering Woods Resort. In the car, Aisha introduced Nora and the others to the various facilities.
Whispering Woods Resort was Hugo's private estate, usually open to the public but only hosting influential people. Therefore, there weren't many guests here.
Millie saw people riding horses in the riding arena and excitedly shouted, "Horses, I want to ride a horse!"
Seeing this, Aisha smiled and said, "Dr. Smith, shall we take Millie to the riding arena first?"
"Sure," Nora said casually. As long as Millie were happy.
Aisha had the servants take them to the riding arena first.
"Dr. Smith, can you ride a horse?"
"No." Nora shook her head. She still remembered when she accompanied Alex on a business trip, she almost got into trouble at a horse farm. Since then, Nora had a shadow over horse farms.
"Shall I have someone pick a gentle mare for you?" Aisha asked considerately.
"Okay."
They got out of the car and went to the changing room to put on riding outfits. The reddish-brown riding outfits highlighted the women's graceful figures, making them look both delicate and valiant.
Aisha and Nora complimented each other and laughed.
"Mommy, Aunt Aisha, do I look pretty?" Millie also changed into a riding outfit, looking for compliments.
"Of course, I think Millie is the prettiest today!" Aisha teased her with a smile.
Millie grinned, her eyes sparkling.
After changing, they went out, and James had also changed. He picked up Millie. "Millie, come with me."
Millie's eyes lit up, and she nodded excitedly. Jasmine hesitated for a moment, then silently followed James's tall figure.
They went to the stables to pick horses. Aisha, being considerate, personally talked to the horse trainer about picking a gentle mare for Nora.
Nora looked at Seraphina, who was adjusting her clothes, asking, "Seraphina, can you ride a horse?"
"Yes," Seraphina replied.
Nora was a bit surprised. "You can?"
"Yes, we have horses in my hometown."
Nora suddenly understood. She glanced at the time. "I wonder if Noe has left yet."
"He just texted me, saying he's already on his way," Seraphina replied.
Nora nodded and said, "I wonder if Noe can ride a horse."
Seraphina thought for a moment, saying, "He's quite delicate, so probably not."
Nora couldn't help but laugh and teased, "Delicate, Seraphina, are you complaining about Noe?"
Seraphina quickly shook her head. "No."
Nora's eyes twinkled, asking, "Do you still want to marry him now?"
A trace of discomfort crossed Seraphina's face, and she shook her head.
Nora raised an eyebrow and added, "You don't want to marry him anymore?"
Seraphina lowered her eyes slightly and replied, "No, I just want to focus on learning medicine with you now."
Nora laughed. "It's not a conflict. You can balance work and life. Learning medicine doesn't prevent you from getting married."
Seraphina smiled without saying anything.
Nora blinked and probed, "Or are you saying you don't fancy him anymore?"
