Chapter 974 Want to Eat You
"What did you say?" Johnnie's voice wavered a bit.
Gabriella sneered. "What, you don't want to?"
Johnnie stayed quiet.
Gabriella's eyes flashed with anger and embarrassment. "Forget it! I don't want you to be my boyfriend anymore!"
Johnnie asked, "So what did you mean by that then?"
Gabriella shot back, "You think I want you as my boyfriend? I'm high-class and never been humiliated like this. You did this to me, so now I want you as my servant, at my beck and call!"
Johnnie paused. "What if I don't agree?"
Gabriella threatened, "If you don't, I'll tell Rafael the files I gave him are fake, and all your efforts will be wasted!"
She added, "You have five minutes to decide. If you don't give me a good answer, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
With that, Gabriella hung up.
Johnnie listened to the beeping phone, frowning. He messed up. How did he forget to remove the bug from Gabriella's phone before they broke up? And how did she find it so fast?
What now? Gabriella wanted him as her boyfriend? No, a servant. She must want to humiliate him.
Johnnie thought for a moment and called Aaron for advice.
Aaron and Nora were back in Lindwood City, playing with Kenneth and Sandy's kids. Aaron stepped aside to answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Gordon, there's a problem."
"What problem?"
"Gabriella found the bug in her phone and knows the files she stole are fake."
"What?" Aaron frowned. "What does she want now?"
Nora, playing with Otis, noticed Aaron's serious look and listened in.
"She said I have to keep being her boyfriend, or she'll tell Rafael about the fake files."
Aaron's eyes narrowed. "She still wants you as her boyfriend?"
"Yes, Mr. Gordon. Should I agree?"
Nora, hearing "boyfriend," got curious.
"Aaron, who's calling?"
"Johnnie," Aaron replied. "Gabriella found the bug and now demands Johnnie stay her boyfriend, or she'll tell Rafael about the fake files."
Nora was surprised. She didn't expect the situation to blow up so fast. And now Gabriella wants Johnnie to stay her boyfriend?
Nora thought for a moment. "You should let Johnnie agree to Gabriella."
Aaron looked at her deeply and asked Johnnie, "Did Gabriella say anything else besides wanting you as her boyfriend?"
Johnnie hesitated. "No." He didn't mention Gabriella's harsh words to avoid worrying them.
But Aaron was sharp. He could guess Gabriella's intentions. "Johnnie, do you want to agree to Gabriella? If you don't, you can refuse. At worst, let her tell Rafael about the fake files; it won't hurt us much."
At most, they'd lose a chance to strike back at Rafael.
Johnnie paused. "I want to agree to her."
Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
Aaron nodded. "Alright, do what you think is best."
After hanging up, he turned to Nora, who was listening in with Otis in her arms. He pulled her into his arms.
"Heard everything?"
"Yep," Nora smiled. "I thought they were done for, but maybe there's still a chance for love."
Aaron smirked. "Love or more drama?"
Nora said, "Gabriella still wants Johnnie as her boyfriend, so she must like him. There's hope."
Aaron countered, "Or she just wants revenge for being fooled."
Nora teased Otis and added, "That means she still cares about him. And Johnnie wants to stay with her too, right?"
Aaron shrugged. "Johnnie might just be worried about our plan falling apart."
"Maybe, but I think he likes her too," Nora said. "Love can be complicated. Some couples fight and still love each other."
Aaron smoothed her hair and teased, "You've become a love expert!"
Nora shrugged. "I'm old enough to have seen a lot."
Aaron chuckled, lifting her chin. "You're not old, you're young and beautiful."
Nora laughed, pushing his hand away. "Otis, look at him, he's as childish as you!"
Two-month-old Otis grinned, waving his tiny arms adorably.
Meanwhile, Gabriella kept checking the time, her heart racing. What would Johnnie decide?
Finally, her phone rang. It was Johnnie.
She took a deep breath and answered. "Have you decided?"
"Yes, as you wish."
Gabriella felt a wave of relief and smiled. "Alright, since you're my servant now, I want you on call all the time!"
Johnnie paused. "I still have work to do."
Gabriella snorted, "Didn't Aaron say I'm his honored guest? Your main job is to take care of me. Ask Aaron if his promise still stands!"
Johnnie was silent for a moment. "Are you still at the estate?"
"Yes."
"I'll be there in an hour."
Johnnie gave in.
Gabriella's lips curved into a victorious smile. "Alright, I'll wait for you."
She put away her phone and took a cab back to the estate. In her room, she hummed a tune and worked on her tasks.
Before she finished, the doorbell rang. Gabriella felt a surge of excitement and opened the door.
It was Johnnie.
Gabriella stepped aside. "Come in and close the door."
Johnnie walked in silently.
Gabriella sat on the sofa, crossing her legs. "I'm hungry."
Johnnie asked, "What do you want to eat?"
Gabriella's lips curved slightly. "I want to eat you!"
