Chapter 412: Seduction Doesn't Work on Me

Evella was wearing a black tight-knit sweater with dark jeans, accentuating her curvy figure.

At that moment, she lifted her sweater, revealing her fair skin and slender waist.

Howard's eyes darkened, quickly turning away.

"Evella, what are you doing? Fix your clothes quickly!"

With her eyebrows furrowed, she pouted and approached him. She reached out to place his hand on her lower abdomen.

"Howard, aren't you a doctor? Please help take a look; my abdomen hurts so much like I'm about to die from the pain."

Her soft hand sent shivers down his spine.

'What is this drunkard doing now?' he wondered.

'Is she trying to seduce me? Because she's heartbroken, she's using me to vent her excess emotions?' Howard guessed.

Howard turned his head to glare at her, pushing her hand away.

"Evella, don't play crazy with alcohol! I'm not just any man; your seduction won't work on me!"

Evella's body swayed as she looked at him with blurry, innocent, yet charming eyes.

She already had seductive eyes, but now they were even more enticing due to the intoxication.

Her red lips were enchanting like flowers, making people unable to resist plucking them...

He unconsciously gulped, heat seemingly rushing toward a certain place in his body.

Damn it!

He actually reacted to her!

Howard cursed in his mind, quickly trying to calm his emotions.

"What're you talking about? Howard, aren't you here to take care of me? If not, then leave; I need to see a doctor for my issue!"

Evella grabbed his arm in a daze, trying to use it to stand up.

Unexpectedly, he was caught off guard and fell on top of her.

Her body was soft.

Her breath, carrying the scent of alcohol, blew onto his face seductively.

Howard stared at her, feeling the calmness he had just managed to achieve violently stir up again.

Although he wasn't drunk, his head was spinning. How was it possible that he was almost intoxicated, as well?

He gulped, looking at Evella's small face. He couldn't help but think that she wasn't bad looking.

Her eyes, slightly upturned, exuded charm.

Other than that, her petite nose was cute, not to mention that tempting cherry-like mouth!

His eyes slightly narrowed, unconsciously lowering his head to kiss her.

At that moment, the woman beneath him suddenly pouted and whimpered.

"I'm in pain, I'm dying! Howard, you bastard, you're letting me die without saving me! Even as a ghost, I'll haunt you!"

Howard's boiling blood froze, watching as she cried loudly. He quickly got up from her.

What was he doing?

He actually got tempted and wanted to kiss her!

'Oh, Howard, are you insane?'

He berated himself in his heart, forcefully suppressing his inner desires.

Seeing that she kept crying in pain, his eyebrows furrowed as he squatted down to carefully examine her.

Only then did he notice the bruising below her belly button.

Flynt had kicked her there.

She hadn't paid attention to it before because she was too depressed.

Now, the injury was starting to ache.

Howard asked, "Who did this to you?"

Evella held her stomach, tears welling in her eyes. "Isn't this your fault, Howard? I'm in so much pain. You jerk, you want me dead, don't you?"

He was speechless. "What does this have to do with me?"

"How can it not be? You saw me dying and did nothing!"

She looked at him with misty eyes. "Not only did you do nothing, you also bullied me."

"How did I bully you?" Howard asked.

"Just now, you pressed on me, and you even got hard!"

Howard's mind flashed with something, and he suddenly felt uncomfortable.

He coughed lightly and explained, "It's nothing. Anyway, I'll have someone bring the medicine box over immediately. Can I apply the medicine for you?"

She sniffled and tried to get up.

However, he quickly held her down. "What are you trying to do?"

Evella stared at him with dazed eyes. "I don't want you to treat me. You must be a fraud; you'll only hurt me more."

He was speechless. It was just a little kick, but she acted like she had a terminal illness!

Clearly, she was heavily intoxicated.

"Don't cry. Trust me, I can definitely cure you and make you feel better."

He patiently comforted her.

She teared up, asking him in half-belief, "Really?"

"Of course."

"Alright then, please treat me quickly." Evella agreed.

As she spoke, she began unbuttoning her jeans.

Howard's heart raced as he watched.

He quickly said, "Wait! In that case, you should lie down on the bed first. After I have my assistant bring the medicine box, you can undress."

Was this woman usually so open whenever she was drunk?

She easily undressed herself!

Was she not afraid he'd take advantage over her?

"Alright."

Evella stopped unbuttoning her jeans and looked at him. She spoke softly, "But I'm feeling dizzy now and can't get up. Carry me to bed."

As she said that, she opened her arms as if asking to be held.

Her docile and adorable look resembled an injured kitten.

It was cute.

Howard accepted his fate and picked her up. He gently placed her on the bed and kindly covered her with a blanket.

Little did he know that as soon as he did that, Evella kicked it off with her foot.

She tried to get up again and started undressing once more.

His eyebrow twitched, quickly stopping her. "Why are you undressing again?"

With half-closed eyes, she brushed his hand away.

"How can I get on the bed without undressing? Don't you care about hygiene at all?"

He watched as she took off her sweater.

Under the warm yellow light, the woman's fair skin and graceful figure were irresistible...

He felt his nose heat up as if something had fallen.

He felt a touch, and it was bright red! He quickly turned around and cursed in his mind.

Unconsciously, images of a woman's breathing flashed through his mind; her chest rising and falling.

He involuntarily swallowed.

Why was it so hot?

Was the air conditioning in this room set too high?

Howard's forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat.

He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down. He asked in a hoarse voice, "Are you feeling better, Evella?"

"I feel dizzy," came a soft voice from behind.

He turned his head slightly and was relieved to see she had covered herself with a blanket and closed her eyes, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Probably because of the heat, one of her legs were out from the blanket, emitting a porcelain-like halo under the light.

He forced himself to look away, his gaze on her small face. Seeing her uncomfortable, he unconsciously softened his voice.

"Be good and sleep for a while; the dizziness will go away once you rest."

"I feel so dizzy, and it hurts."

The woman's voice was soft, gradually lowering until she fell asleep again.

Howard sighed in relief, wiping his sweat off and sitting down on the sofa.

Soon, the doorbell rang, and his assistant came in with a bag.

"Here are the clothes you wanted." The assistant said.

Howard took the bag and said, "Go buy a set of women's clothes. Also, get the medical kit from my car trunk."

The assistant was curious.

Howard was asking him to buy women's clothes; did he sleep with a woman?
