Chapter 616 Woke Up

Nora said with a smile, "You two go on, I'll head out."

"Alright," Margaret replied.

Nora left the room and walked towards the front hall.

Glancing through the large French windows, she caught sight of Aaron standing in the backyard, talking on the phone.

Nora didn't continue forward but waited for him right there.

After finishing the call, Aaron pushed the door open and entered, seeing Nora waiting for him. He said, "I have something to attend to, so I won't stay for dinner."

Nora was taken aback, asking, "Work?"

He replied, "Yes."

Nora raised her eyebrows slightly, saying, "Aaron, you just had an accident; your body hasn't fully recovered; don't drink."

"Understood, I'm leaving." Aaron acknowledged and left in large strides.

It was truly a hurried departure.

Watching Aaron's retreating figure, she pursed her lips, suppressed her discomfort, and went to the living room.

Aaron left the Hamilton family's Gordon Manor and drove to a high-end hotel.

Taking the elevator to the top floor, he rang the doorbell.

The door opened, and Betsy, dressed in a sexy silk nightgown, stood at the doorway with a charming smile.

She said, "Mr. Gordon, you finally arrived."

Aaron's gaze swept over Betsy's figure.

The thin, almost transparent silk nightgown outlined her graceful figure.

A wicked smile played on Aaron's lips as he entered. He kicked the door shut with a leg and then pushed Betsy against the wall.

"Sweetie, why so rush? Are you missing me so much?" Aaron said, his hands roamed over Betsy's body.

Betsy let out a soft moan, melting into his embrace. She said, "Don't you feel upset that we were interrupted while making love in the office by Nora?"

At these words, Aaron lifted his head from Betsy's chest. He said, "Next time, don't come to the company openly to find me, to avoid unnecessary trouble."

Betsy hooked her arms around his neck, pouting. "Now that you're Aaron, a man of high status and power, isn't it normal to have one or two mistresses by your side? Are you afraid of her?"

His lips curled into a wicked smile. "Nora is not you; she's a jealous woman. For now, I have to appease the jealous woman."

At the mention of a jealous woman, Betsy laughed.

She asked, "Do you like this jealous woman?"

He pressed Betsy closer to his body, desire evident in his eyes.

"Compared to a jealous woman, I prefer a wanton woman!" Aaron said.

After finishing teaching Samantha to sing at the Hamilton family's Gordon Manor, Margaret left.

Nora asked her to stay for dinner, but she excused herself and then left.

Getting into the Uber she had booked early, Margaret glanced at her phone.

While Nora took Samantha to the restroom, she and Aaron exchanged phone numbers.

Margaret wondered when Aaron would ask her to play the piano for him alone.

Nora had dinner at the Gordon Manor.

After dinner, she played with the children for a while before preparing to leave.

"Ms. Smith, where would you like to be dropped off?" Frederick asked.

Nora thought for a moment and said, "Back to the Hamilton family's mansion."

Since Aaron had social engagements and wasn't at the mansion, going to his mansion alone didn't make sense. It was better to return home.

Without further questions, Frederick drove her back to the Hamilton family's mansion.

As Nora entered the house and was about to change into slippers, her phone rang. It was Emma's call.

Glancing at the empty living room, she answered the call, "Mom."

"Nora, come back quickly. Kenneth's finger moved again; he seemed to be waking up." Emma's voice trembled with excitement. It was thrilling news.

Nora's heart skipped a beat; she said, "I'm downstairs; I'll come up right away."

After hanging up, she quickly changed into slippers and hurried upstairs.

Arriving at Kenneth's room, she saw Emma excitedly holding Kenneth's hand and talking to him, "Kenneth, can you hear me speaking? If you can, move your eyes."

The man on the bed's eyelids twitched slightly.

Emma watched intently, tears of joy welling up. She said, "He really moved, this time it's real! Kenneth, open your eyes and look at Mom."

Nora walked to the bedside and said, "Mom, don't get too excited. Let me check Kenneth's condition first."

Emma let go of Kenneth's hand, wiped her tears, and stood aside, eagerly watching, her face filled with anticipation.

Nora checked Kenneth, her heart lifting with joy.

Kenneth was responsive; he was truly waking up!

Nora thought for a moment, took out a silver needle, and began massaging several acupoints on Kenneth's body to stimulate his nerves once more.

After a moment, Kenneth furrowed his brow and slowly opened his eyes.

"Kenneth, you're awake!" Nora was delighted and sighed in relief.

Kenneth had finally awakened!

"Kenneth, my son, you're finally awake!" Emma said, her eyes welling up again. Unable to hold back, she bent down and hugged Kenneth, crying heavily.

Seeing Emma cry, Nora's eyes also reddened.

Kenneth's eyes moved slowly, saying weakly, "Mom, Nora, don't cry."

Nora smiled, wiping away her tears, and helped Emma up. She said, "Mom, Kenneth had finally awakened. This is a moment for joy, no tears."

"Okay, no more tears," Emma said; she wiped her tears, crying and laughing.

She added, "Kenneth, you've been asleep for so long. Are you hungry? I will have someone prepare some food for you, okay?"

Kenneth shook his head weakly and said, "I'm not hungry."

He looked around as if searching for someone.

Nora's eyes flickered, and she said to Emma, "Mom, have them prepare something light and later give Kenneth a little to drink. I'll check his body again."

"Okay," Emma said and left the room happily.

Kenneth said, "Nora, help me up."

Nora agreed, helping him up slowly and placing a pillow behind his back.

She asked, "Kenneth, are you looking for Sandy?"

Kenneth's pale face darkened slightly, but he remained silent.

Seeing his expression, it was clear he still misunderstood Sandy.

Nora didn't rush to explain; she said, "Kenneth, do you remember the car accident?"

Kenneth replied, "I do."

He couldn't forget that when Sandy and Zephyr met in secret, his anger drove him to the car accident.

"Kenneth, do you think Sandy betrayed you?" Nora asked.

Kenneth glanced at her and said, "I saw it with my own eyes."

Nora explained, "Sometimes, what you see with your own eyes may not be true."

"Kenneth, Sandy didn't betray you; she was set up."

Kenneth was taken aback, asking, "Who set her up?"

"Suzy."

Kenneth furrowed his brow and asked, "Suzy?"

"Yes," Nora said.

She explained the situation to Kenneth in detail, "Suzy bribed your assistant to send a message to Sandy, asking her to bring you stomach medicine to the club. Then, after Sandy entered the private room, the waiter knocked her out."

"Later, the waiter used Sandy's phone to message Zephyr, asking him to come over. What you saw afterward was the result."

Upon hearing this, Kenneth's expression darkened, finding it hard to believe.

He said, "Are you saying Suzy bribed my assistant? Why would Suzy do this?"

Nora paused and said, "Speaking strictly, it was Mom who allowed Suzy to do this!"

Kenneth furrowed his brow, looking at Nora, waiting for her to continue.

Nora continued, "Suzy instigated Mom. After Mom found out Sandy's true identity, she wanted you to divorce her. So, Suzy came up with this idea and orchestrated the whole thing."
