Jacob's expression eased slightly.

Jacob looked at the three lovely kids, Alex, Billy, and Samantha, and praised them.
"No wonder I liked them so much as soon as I saw them. It turns out they are descendants of our Gordon family, Adelbert Hamilton. Did you hear that? They are my grandchildren!"
Adelbert was still in shock.
He looked at Ebenezer and the others with calm expressions. "You all knew about this, right?"
Ebenezer smiled. "We only found out recently."
Adelbert huffed. "You all knew but you kept it from me."
Ebenezer said, "Dad, we didn't mean to keep it from you. We just wanted to wait until Aaron's matters were all resolved before informing you."
Adelbert still looked annoyed; he glanced at Jacob, who was beaming with joy, and then turned his eyes.
"Well, if you had told us earlier, with Jacob's impulsive nature, he would have definitely blurted it out and ruined Aaron's plans."
Jacob glanced at Adelbert and retorted. "Adelbert Hamilton, no need to belittle me. I know you're jealous of me. Today, I'm happy; say what you want."
Adelbert glared at him. "Who's jealous of you? Don't forget, they are also relatives of our Hamilton family."
Jacob arrogantly replied, looking pleased. "Yes, the three children are indeed relatives of your Hamilton family, but they are even closer to our Gordon family as descendants. You see, just the way they address us can illustrate the difference. I am paternal grandfather, and you are maternal grandfather. One is closer, the other is more distant!"
Adelbert choked. "Jacob Gordon, don't get too cocky. Nora hasn't agreed to marry Aaron yet. If you keep showing off, I'll disrupt your dream!"

Alex, Billy, and Samantha were all grown up, so Nora not marrying Aaron was not a concern!

Listening to Adelbert and Jacob bickering, Aaron and Nora smiled at each other, their hands clasped together without letting go.

Samantha hugged Aaron with tears.
Her tears tugged at Aaron's heart.
During the years when Alex, Billy, and Samantha lacked paternal love, they must have been eagerly anticipating Aaron's appearance to protect them and be their Superman!
"I'm sorry, I was useless for not recognizing you earlier. I will make it up to you in the future."
