Chapter 382 The Surveillance Problem

Meanwhile, within the confines of HoustonMont International Kindergarten, Alex and Samantha found themselves seated upright in the surveillance room. Their faces were etched with seriousness as they scrutinized the surveillance footage.

Several security guards encircled Alex, their expressions a mix of surprise and dismissal. They couldn't comprehend the gravity with which the young boy was treating the situation.

"Kid, we've already combed through the surveillance videos. There's no sign of any suspicious individuals. Your brother simply vanished," one of them said dismissively.

"Listen, you're just a child. Stop stirring up trouble here. Go home and find your parents," another added.

The guards exchanged glances and words, their tones filled with condescension.

Alex's brows furrowed in irritation. "Shut up, all of you!" he commanded. His youthful voice was laden with an unexpected intensity, causing everyone in the room to instinctively clamp their mouths shut.

The realization that they had been silenced by a mere child sparked whispers among the guards. "Why is this kid so assertive?" one muttered. "He's even more imposing than our superiors," another added.

Unfazed by their comments, Alex continued to review the surveillance footage. His large, brown eyes narrowed as he spotted an anomaly within the frames. The footage had been tampered with! Someone had hacked into the kindergarten's surveillance system.

Spotting the discrepancy, Alex quickly slid off his chair. His short legs carried him over to the mainframe where he began frantically typing on the keyboard with his small, fair hands. The security guards watched with curiosity as the images on the screen began to change.

Before long, a man dressed in a janitor's uniform appeared on the screen. His face was obscured by a mask, and he was seen exiting the restroom with a trash bin. He then removed a black trash bag from the bin, placed it on a garbage truck, and pushed the truck away.

"Where did this footage come from?" one guard asked, bewildered.

"It seems hackers have infiltrated the kindergarten's computer system!" another exclaimed.

"Yes, this janitor seems suspicious," a third chimed in.

The guards were shocked and began discussing among themselves.

"How did this child manage to uncover this?" one wondered aloud.

"Is he also a computer hacker?" another asked.

"A prodigy at such a young age!"

"Quiet!" Alex snapped, irritated by their chatter. The adults quickly fell silent, their previous indifference towards Alex replaced with newfound respect.

Alex used the mouse to zoom in on the screen, focusing on the peculiar shape of the garbage bag in the man's hand. It didn't resemble a bag filled with trash; it looked more like it was concealing a human form. His brother, Billy, must be inside that bag.

Alex's young face hardened, his features cold and composed. He suppressed his rising anxiety and continued his investigation.

Soon, he discovered that the man had taken the trash bag outside. Just as he made this discovery, the principal and other staff members rushed into the room.

"Did you find anything unusual in the surveillance footage?" the principal asked.

"Yes!" a security guard confirmed.

The principal's spirits lifted. "What did you find?"

The guard glanced at Alex, who pointed to the enlarged image of the man on the screen. "Investigate this person immediately. They're likely part of a criminal gang, and there must be an accomplice outside! "

The principal was taken aback, looking at Alex with a hint of skepticism. However, the guards quickly explained the investigation process and replayed the surveillance video for him.

Understanding dawned on the principal. He set aside his curiosity about Alex's hacking skills and began instructing his staff to coordinate with the traffic police to check surveillance along the route.

Meanwhile, Noe, having received a call from Aaron, rushed to the school. After being briefed on the situation, he used his connections to investigate suspicious vehicles.

Despite tracing a suspicious vehicle, he was a step too late. The vehicle was found abandoned in a desolate area, and the kidnapper had already fled with Billy in a helicopter.

It was clear that this kidnapping was not a random act but a well-planned operation.
Noe had initially dispatched Alex and Samantha to the dilapidated mansion that once belonged to the Gordon family. Following this, he promptly relayed the situation to Aaron.

At that moment, Aaron was aboard a private jet with Nora, both of them in a rush to return to Houston.

Upon receiving Noe's message, a chilling and fierce light sparked in Aaron's eyes.

After ending the call, he remained silent for a moment before dialing Ken's number.

The phone rang persistently, and finally, a voice answered.

"Mr. Gordon, it's quite unusual to hear from you. What could possibly prompt you to reach out?" Ken's voice was casual, almost nonchalant.

Aaron's dark eyes were icy and silent. "Did you orchestrate Billy's kidnapping? Ken, I warn you, if you harm even a single hair on his head, I will not spare you!"

Ken's response was a sneer. "Aaron, do you realize how you sound? Like a coward! Mere verbal threats amount to nothing!"

Aaron's voice was frosty. "Ken, why would you abduct a child? Are you trying to prove a point? Remember, you have children too. I hope they won't suffer the consequences of your actions!"

At this, Ken fell silent for a moment before erupting into laughter.

"Aaron, you hold a position of high esteem, yet you chose to be with a single mother. It's clear that you're driven by emotion. You're not the type to resort to drastic measures, are you?"

Aaron's grip on his phone tightened, his lips forming a hard line.

Ken was implying that even if Aaron knew Ken was behind this, he wouldn't harm innocent people.

He knew him too well!

"Furthermore, you claim I abducted the child, but where's your proof? If you have any, present it. Otherwise, stop wasting my time!"

With that, Ken hung up.

Aaron's hand clenched the phone so tightly that his veins bulged. It took a monumental effort to suppress his rising anger.

He switched off his phone and instructed the pilot to initiate takeoff.

He might not be capable of stooping to Ken's level, but that didn't mean he wouldn't teach him a lesson!

"Thomas, have you found Billy yet?"

Nora's voice was anxious, her expression flustered.

Aaron's icy demeanor softened slightly, his voice gentler. "Billy has been taken. But don't worry, I've got this under control; he'll be safe."

Nora's eyes welled up with tears.

"Why would Ken kidnap a child? Is he even a man?"

A glacial glint appeared in Aaron's eyes. "If he were a man of integrity, he wouldn't have raised such an arrogant and domineering son."

Nora sniffed. "Did he kidnap Billy to intimidate us?"

Aaron nodded. "Yes, he lost face because of the child. He was banished overseas by the Turner family, and his son was expelled from school. If he doesn't retaliate, how can he maintain his standing in society?"

Nora felt a pang of unease.

"Thomas, Billy will be okay, won't he?"

Aaron held her hand firmly, his gaze unwavering.

"Trust me, I won't let anything happen to him."

He had been making preparations, but he hadn't anticipated Ken's retaliation to come so swiftly!

Meanwhile, on a private jet en route to Country H, Billy found himself bound hand and foot, discarded in a corner.
