Chapter 486 Take Responsibility For Mistakes

Suzy's eyes flashed, and she immediately slapped Cora's phone away.

"You are not allowed to contact Kenneth to seek sympathy. Our family's affairs don't concern you, jinx! Get out of here!" Suzy said.

In fact, Suzy was stalling. It would be best if she could stall until Emma died!

Watching Cora being chased out of the villa by the servants, Suzy smugly crouched down and checked Emma's breath again, finding it already weak.

She believed that if she waited a little longer, Emma would die!

One of the servants behind her saw the blood under Emma flowing more and more and became scared. Then, trembling, the servant took out their phone and called Ebenezer.

The servant informed, "Mr. Hamilton, something big happened. Please come back quickly."

Suzy didn't expect that she would let the servant call Ebenezer, but she suddenly hated the servant.

But at this moment, she couldn't show her resentment; she only pretended to be worried and said, "Didn't you call an ambulance? Did you actually make the call? Why hasn't the ambulance arrived yet?"

Outside, Cora leaned against the wall, holding her slightly painful lower abdomen, feeling anxious and uncomfortable.

She thought, 'My real identity has finally been discovered. What should I do now? I really am a jinx! What will happen if I kill Emma?'

The sky was gloomy, with a cold wind blowing on her face like a sharp knife.

Cora closed her eyes and stood quietly by the wall, feeling defeated.

Finally, the ambulance arrived, along with Ebenezer, who had hurried back.

"Dad," Cora called out with a pale face.

"Why are you standing outside?" Ebenezer asked in a concerned tone.

Cora didn't know what to say, and Ebenezer didn't have the attention to spare for her as he quickly pushed open the door and entered.

"Dad, you're back. Mom got injured," Suzy pretended to be anxious, her eyes filled with tears.

Ebenezer looked at the weak Emma on the ground, his face serious. He quickly had the medical staff lift her onto a stretcher and then got into the ambulance himself.

Suzy was still waiting to see if Emma was alive or dead, so she hurriedly followed.

Cora also wanted to go to the hospital, but her stomach was in too much pain. She could only watch as the ambulance roared away.

"Mrs. Hamilton, how are you?" A servant asked, saw her clutching her stomach, her face pale, and quickly went to support her.

Cora weakly said, "Quickly help me make a call to Kenneth."

"Yes, Mrs. Hamilton," the servant quickly agreed.

Sandy was usually humble and kind, so the servants in the house liked her very much.

Just now, they only drove her away because Suzy was present.

Now that Suzy was gone, they would definitely listen to her orders.

Inside the ambulance, Ebenezer looked at Emma, who was now breathing with the help of oxygen, his brow furrowed.

"Suzy, what just happened? How did your mother fall from upstairs?" he asked.

Suzy wiped her eyes and looked at Ebenezer. "Dad, I need to tell you something," she said, hiding her ill intentions.

"Go ahead," he replied.

Suzy took a deep breath and said, "Sandy is not really the Hernandez family's daughter. She is actually Sandy's twin sister, Cora."

Hearing this, Ebenezer was stunned and asked with a frown, "What do you mean?"

"Actually, Mrs. Hernandez gave birth to twins, but one of them was Jinx. Mr. Hernandez secretly sent that child away, so only Sandy's existence is known to everyone. However, Sandy passed away in a car accident long ago. The Sandy in our family is actually Cora, who was given away as Jinx," Suzy explained rapidly.

Ebenezer was visibly shocked, his brow furrowing even more. "How did you find out about this?" he questioned.

"Dad, look at this," she said.

Suzy produced a photo of Sandy and Cora and showed it to him.

"These two individuals, one is Sandy and the other is Cora," Suzy stated.

Ebenezer took the photo, studying it with a furrowed brow.

Suzy continued, "A few days ago, I saw a man who seemed to have a close connection with Sandy. Concerned that Sandy might deceive Kenneth, I decided to investigate on my own. I initially thought I was being paranoid, but I never expected to uncover this. I never fathomed that the Hernandez family would sacrifice Cora for Sandy and arrange for a Jinx to marry Kenneth."

Hearing this, Ebenezer was shocked but still managed to say, "Jinx's claims are baseless."

Suzy glanced at him and said, "Dad, you have to believe it! Sometimes, it's better to believe in something's existence than its absence."

Ebenezer remained silent for a moment and then handed the photo back to her. "I will get to the bottom of this, but what does this have to do with Sandy?" he asked.

"It's definitely related!" she said. Mom was furious after finding out that Sandy was replaced by someone to marry Kenneth and wanted to clarify things with Sandy, but she accidentally fell down the stairs.

"It's not Sandy, it's Cora, she's the jinx! She killed her biological mother before and then her sister. And now, because of her, my mom fell down the stairs. It's terrifying to even think about!"

Hearing this, Ebenezer didn't say anything but frowned.

Suzy's gaze flickered anxiously, and said, "Dad, you have to believe me. Sandy just admitted it: She is Cora. It was truly because of her that Mom fell down the stairs!"

Suzy wanted to push all the responsibility onto Cora, who took responsibility for her mistakes!

Ebenezer didn't say anything, so after a while, he took out his phone and called Xavier.

After exchanging pleasantries, Ebenezer went straight to the point, "Xavier, I have one question for you. The person who married Kenneth, is it your daughter, Cora?"

Xavier denied, "No."

Ebenezer said, "Really? Xavier, the truth cannot be covered up. Your daughter has admitted it."

Hearing this, Xavier fell silent for a moment, and replied, "Ebenezer, whether it's my eldest daughter or my youngest daughter, they are both my daughters. Cora is pregnant and will soon give birth to Kenneth's child."

Xavier admitted it.

Ebenezer's forehead furrowed, asking, "Xavier, so this is true? How could you deceive us? I heard that your youngest daughter was born as a jinx, and you married her off to Kenneth to harm him, didn't you?"

Xavier hurriedly said, "That's not true. Let me explain. Over the years, I've been helping Cora get rid of her misfortune, which has already been resolved. She's no longer a jinx but a normal girl now."

Ebenezer's mood was complicated, feeling conflicted. "You deceived the Hamilton family first. Let's discuss this after I tell Kenneth," he remarked.

After saying that, he hung up without listening to Xavier's explanation.

Ebenezer thought for a moment, then dialed Kenneth's number.

"Dad," Kenneth replied.

"Kenneth, where are you?" he asked.

"I heard Mom had an accident, and I'm on my way back home," Kenneth said.

Ebenezer frowned. " Shouldn't you go to the hospital?" he asked.
