Chapter 436 Like a Pretty Boy
Nora explained the incident where Howard took Evella to a hotel.
Sandy was surprised once again.
"No wonder I noticed a slight change in Howard's attitude towards Evella. So they had an encounter?" Sandy asked.
Nora nodded, and replied, "Unfortunately, Evella remains clueless."
Sandy chuckled, and said, "Yeah, I actually really like Evella. If she becomes my sister-in-law in the future, we should be able to get along well."
Nora agreed with a nod, and said, "I also think Evella would make a good second sister-in-law. What a shame."
The two understood each other and shared a smile.
At that moment, the door was pushed open.
"Don't just idle around; help me with this project," their mentor said, walking in with some documents and interrupting their conversation.
Nora took the documents deliberately and said, "Teacher, we are here to help for free; you can't force us to take on tasks. It's fine for me, but if you exhaust my sister-in-law, watch out; my brother will be angry with you."
Upon hearing this, Sandy got anxious before the mentor could speak.
Sandy spoke, "Teacher, don't listen to her nonsense. I'm not fragile like a porcelain doll, am I? You can trust us with the tasks."
After speaking, she tapped Nora's forehead and said playfully, "Nora, if you keep talking nonsense, I won't pay any attention to you."
Nora touched her head and looked at the mentor with a grievous look.
"Teacher, am I not human now?" Nora asked.
The mentor knew that they had a good relationship as sisters-in-law and smiled, "The two of you should do what you can; I'm not in a hurry."
"Yes, sir," Nora responded with a smiling face, and then she and Sandy looked at the topic together, discussing it while reading.
At Lindwood City University.
After finishing a class, Evella held her books and prepared to go back to the study room.
Passing by the playground, she overheard a group of girls exclaiming.
"Look, look, isn't that Howard, the second son of the Hamilton family? He looks so handsome!" someone remarked.
"It's him, it's him! I heard that the school invited him to give a lecture to the students from the medical school. Those female students are lucky!" somebody mentioned.
"Oh my, he's coming this way. Do you think he's looking at me?" another asked.
"Don't be infatuated; he's clearly looking at me!" another claimed.
"You two, stop arguing and take a look at yourselves. He's certainly looking at me." another declared.
Several girls were discussing who Howard was looking at, and it seemed like a fight might break out.
Evella listened for a moment, stopped her steps, and looked over curiously.
From a distance, she saw Howard being surrounded by several school officials as they walked towards her.
The weather was clear.
He wore a brown coat that wrapped around his tall and straight figure.
The sunlight shone on his fair face, making him even more refined and handsome.
Listening to the girls' discussions, Evella rolled her eyes.
What kind of taste did these girls have?
Was Howard really that handsome?
Isn't he just a little bronze-skinned?
He looks like a pretty boy, not as masculine as her older brother.
Evella didn't stay any longer, hugged her books tightly, and prepared to leave.
"Evella," Someone called out and patted her on the back.
Evella paused her steps, turned to look at the person, and frowned immediately.
The person's name was Michelle.
He was the young master of Gandalf's Family in Lindwood City.
The Gandalf Family was considered a prominent family in Lindwood City.
The Gandalf family consisted of several sons, all of whom were elite figures in the business world.
However, Michelle was probably spoiled by his family and did not focus on his studies like the other sons did. In school, he was famous for being charming. He would frequently change girlfriends as easily as changing clothes.
Recently, he somehow became interested in Evella and would pester her every day. It wasn't very pleasant.
"Do you need something?" Evella asked calmly.
"Evella, I know you're into artsy stuff, so I got two tickets for tonight's play at the theater. How about I accompany you to see the play?" Michelle took out two tickets and waved them in front of Evella, his eyes wandering all over her face.
Although Evella was interested in the play, she had reservations about who she would go with. She would rather be alone by the river than go to the theater with this playboy.
"Sorry, I'm busy tonight," Evella hugged her books tightly and said before leaving.
Michelle grabbed her shoulder. "Evella, I've been pursuing you for nearly a month now. What do I have to do for you to agree to be my girlfriend?" he asked.
He intentionally blew into Evella's ear and let his hand, which was on her shoulder, slide down, even grabbing her rear end.
Evella felt both embarrassed and angry and ruthlessly kicked him.
"Michelle, please show some respect to me! Otherwise, I will report you for sexual harassment!" she scolded.
She didn't hold back in her kick, causing Michelle to scream in pain, holding his leg and hopping.
"Evella, don't act all high and mighty! You're just the daughter of a rapist! Just because you have the title of the Remington Family's daughter, you think highly of yourself? Let me tell you, it's your good fortune that I find you attractive! Go ahead and enjoy it secretly!" Michelle said.
Hearing this, Evella's face changed, and she tightened her grip on the book in her hand, staring coldly at him.
Michelle let go of his foot and adopted a softer tone, saying, "Evella, I really like you. I know you come from a small place and haven't seen much of the world. As long as you agree to be my girlfriend, I promise to show you all kinds of happiness."
As he spoke, he reached out to try and embrace her.
Evella pursed her lips, threw the book aside, and then grabbed the hand that the man was extending, pushing him away amidst his cries of pain.
"Michelle, I'll say it again. Show some respect to me!" she demanded.
The eldest brother was worried that she would be bullied outside, so he taught her some self-defense. She used to think it didn't matter, but now she realized it was necessary.
Michelle was clutching his twisted wrist, grimacing in pain.
His reputation preceded him, and he relied on the status of Gandalf's Family in Lindwood City; there were only a few girls he couldn't catch up with.
But Evella not only rejected his advances but also dared to hit him!
Michelle lost patience; he shook his wrist, just wanting to teach her a lesson.
"You bitch, I dare you to fight me!" he scoffed, angrily.
Seeing Michelle raise his hand to slap her, Evella quickly dodged.
Michelle missed his target, which immediately provoked his fighting spirit.
He rolled up his sleeves. "I don't believe I can't handle you today," he said.
Several students who were watching the scene recognized Michelle, but they didn't intervene or try to dissuade him. They just stood by and watched.
After all, Michelle's reputation was well known, and ordinary people didn't dare to confront him.
Evella saw Michelle grabbing her hand and felt the urge to fight back.
But she only knew a little bit of self-defense; she was no match for Michelle.
Though Michelle was flirtatious by nature, because of his prominent family background, he knew some martial arts.
So, he quickly restrained Evella.
Looking at Evella's flushed face, he smirked, speaking vulgarly.
"Evella, do you like it when I kiss you in front of everyone? Fine, I'll fulfill your desire," Michelle claimed.
