Chapter 462 Men Are Jerks

Hearing Lucas' voice, Becky instinctively turned to look at him.

When she saw Lucas and the woman next to him, Becky became a little angry with her red eyes but did nothing.

She didn't interrogate Lucas about the woman as she usually would. Instead, she turned back and continued to drink.

Observing Becky's reaction, Nora was surprised as she realized that Becky had become more composed.

"What a coincidence," Nora calmly greeted Lucas as he approached her.

"It truly is a coincidence," Lucas said. "I came to Lindwood City to meet an important client. I didn't expect to run into you here." He looked surprised when he saw Becky.

Lucas did not expect Becky and Nora to be peacefully having dinner together.

"Are you here to meet your client? I thought you were on a date with this beautiful woman," Nora deliberately said, glancing at the woman next to Lucas.

Lucas immediately explained, "Don't misunderstand. This is the manager of our public relations department. Her name is Freya Collin. She came here to work with me."

Nora only just realized that this beautiful woman was Lucas' subordinate.

Nora asked the question earlier, Becky. She noticed that Becky ignored Lucas and continued drinking, showing no emotional reaction.

Nora thought that Becky remained calm.

"You go wait for me in the room," Lucas told Freya.

"Okay," Freya replied and gracefully left.

Lucas glanced at Becky again. He became displeased when he saw that she focused only on eating and ignored him.

"Becky, do you know how long it's been since you saw Noah? All you do is drink every day. Are you worthy of being a mother?" Lucas accused her.

Becky suddenly stopped eating and slammed her fork on the table.

"I admit I'm not a good mother. Lucas, are you worthy of being a father? If you were, you would give Noah a complete family!" she retorted.

Lucas glared at Becky, and spat, "Look at yourself! If Noah stays with you, he will only become corrupt. So, he should leave you!"

Becky scoffed, "What about me? At least I don't flirt with other men everywhere I go. Watch what you do! You will have a bad influence on Noah!"

Lucas froze and shouted, "Becky, don't slander me! I have never done that!"

Becky stared at Lucas and nodded. She laughed sarcastically, and said, "Yes, I misspoke. You, indeed, don't flirt with other women. You're just constantly searching for a woman who looks like Nora."

"You-!" Lucas was losing his temper.

"Stop it! Do you have any business here? If you don't have urgent matters, please go away. Please don't interfere with Nora and me eating! I can't stand the sight of you!" Impatiently, Becky interrupted Lucas' words.

Lucas was shocked.

"How dare you speak to me like this, Becky?" Lucas retorted.

Lucas thought, 'She told me to go away and said she can't stand the sight of me! How dare she rebel against me?'

"Why wouldn't I dare speak to you like this? Who you are?" Becky sneered and contemptuously stared at Lucas.

"You're not even that handsome. You've never even given me an orgasm. Why was I so obsessed with you before? I even made a big mistake because I loved you. I was really foolish back then!" Becky vented.

Hearing Becky accuse him, Lucas becomes angry.

Lucas thought, 'She says I've never given her an orgasm?'

The most intolerable thing for a man is when someone says he's not good at making love.

Although Becky did not directly say that Lucas was bad at making love, her words indirectly implied that.

Infuriated, Lucas grabbed her wrist.

"Becky, come with me. We need to talk!" Lucas demanded.

Frowning, Becky struggled, and insisted, "Let go of me! I don't want to talk to you!"

Lucas bit his lip but remained silent. He forcefully pulled Becky up from her seat.

Becky was not as strong as Lucas. She stomped on his foot as he tried to drag her away. Then, she fiercely bit his arm.

Lucas felt the pain and immediately let go of Becky.

"Becky, are you crazy?!" he scolded.

Becky coldly chuckled, and remarked, "Yes, I am crazy. Otherwise, I wouldn't have hurt Nora and myself for such a terrible man like you."

"You!" Lucas shouted.

"Stop talking! Stay away from me right now. And don't bother me again!" Brushing off her clothes, Becky coldly sat back in her seat.

Lucas angrily stared at Becky.

Lucas thought, 'She is not the Becky who used to be fascinated with me! Her impatient tone is just like mine! When did she have the courage to resist me?'

"Becky, don't you want to see Noah anymore? I get it. You found a new lover and no longer care about Noah. Am I right?" Lucas asked, gritting his teeth.

Becky looked at Lucas, deliberately provoking him, saying, "Lucas, I gave birth to Noah after nine months of pregnancy. Naturally, I would want him. My new lover agrees with me, and he would help me fight for custody of Noah!"

Lucas became even angrier and glared at her. Lucas couldn't speak.

Sitting there, Nora curiously watched them argue. Suddenly, she felt happy.

Nora thought, 'Men are really jerks. Lucas is so angry right now, so he must still have feelings for Becky. People only realize the value of what they had when they lose it.

'Becky can continue to stay indifferent and punish this jerk, Lucas.'

At this moment, two women walked toward Nora.

"Ms. Smith, I am here to apologize on behalf of the rude Betsy," someone said.

Nora looked up and saw Betsy, guessing that the woman who spoke earlier was Betsy's agent, Nora's demeanor became cold.

"Why are you apologizing to me?" Nora asked.

The woman who spoke was indeed Betsy's agent. Her name was Judy.

Judy smiled and said, "Ms. Smith, Betsy was very rude and offended you. Please forgive her."

Judy pushed Betsy and shouted, "Apologies to Ms. Smith quickly."

Betsy was reluctant, but Judy forced her. So, she lowered her head and said, "I'm sorry."

Nora said coldly, "I'm not mad at you, so you don't need to apologize to me."

Judy awkwardly smiled and said, "Ms. Smith, I know that you're kind and forgiving. I have already scolded Betsy severely. So, can you let her return to the entertainment industry?"

Nora didn't know that Betsy had already been kicked out of this industry.

Nora was stunned and thought, 'Did Aaron do this? I don't think so. But the entertainment industry is like a Vanity Fair. Everyone only cares about their interests. It's very likely that after Aaron let Becky replace Betsy, this news spread in the entertainment industry, and other capitalists no longer wanted to cooperate with Betsy.'
