Chapter 601 Aaron in Trouble

Evella covered her face and said, "Grandma, I have to go to school now. I'll be late, so I'll head to school first."

"Evella is shy!" Maisie laughed heartily.

Richard was somewhat helpless and asked, "Evella, are you sure you want to date Dr. Hamilton?"

He hadn't been sure about whether Howard was a reliable man.

Unexpectedly, Evella had changed her mind and agreed to date Howard.

Of course, Richard respected Evella's decision.

Evella bit her lip and replied softly.

Richard nodded. "I understand. If Howard dares to bully you, you must tell me."

"I got it. I'm off to school," Evella said.

Actually, she was afraid that Richard would be angry.

After all, she had just told Richard that she would break up with Howard.

Seeing that Richard wasn't angry at her, she sighed in relief.

Having a boyfriend approved by the elders was naturally the best!

After Evella left, Richard said to Maisie, "Mrs.Remington, I don't want to make public the fact that Zack is Evella's biological father for now."

He explained the pros and cons of the situation.

At the same time, he said, "I will publicly acknowledge Evella as my goddaughter."

Maisie nodded without objection and said, "It's up to you."

She could know the truth of the past, and Evella would have someone else to protect her in the future, which was fine.

Outside, Evella sat in the Remington family's car on the way to Lindwood University.

She received a message from Howard on the way.

Howard: [Are you awake?]

Evella thought for a moment and sent a scenic photo.

Evella: [It's already late. I'm on my way to Lindwood University.]

Soon, Howard sent a message.

Howard: [Hardworking girl, let's have lunch together at noon.]

Evella smiled and agreed.

Howard didn't reply further.

Evella put away her phone, looked at the sunshine outside the window, and felt particularly happy.

So, this was the taste of love! It was a bit sweet!

Nora had breakfast and did acupuncture for Kenneth.

No response, she started massaging his arms.

While massaging, she chattered, "Kenneth, Howard is in a relationship now, so marriage is not far off. As the eldest brother, you have to wake up and congratulate him."

Kenneth didn't react, still lying quietly with his eyes closed in a deep sleep.

Nora continued talking to him about yesterday's events. This was her daily routine.

After massaging one side, she walked to the other side of Kenneth's bed, ready to continue massaging.

Inadvertently, she noticed Kenneth's little finger move slightly.

Nora's heart skipped a beat, and her breath caught. She wanted to rub her eyes but didn't dare to move. She was afraid of missing something.

She asked, "Kenneth, can you hear me? If you can, move your finger again."

Nora stared at Kenneth's finger for a minute, but Kenneth didn't react again.

She began to doubt if she had seen it correctly. But she had changed the nerve-stimulating medication a few days ago. It seemed to be showing some improvement. She just hoped Kenneth would wake up soon.

Nora sighed softly, sat down, and continued massaging Kenneth, saying, "Kenneth, how long are you going to sleep? Sandy is waiting for you to pick her up."

Kenneth still lay quietly, motionless.

After finishing acupuncture for Kenneth, Nora went to the basement to continue working on the medicine to treat Sandy's scars.

By noon, thinking about Samantha's wish to learn to sing with her music teacher, Nora ate a few bites and then went to school.

After explaining her purpose, the security guard, knowing her identity, called the music teacher out for her.

The music teacher, Margaret Taylor, was a beautiful woman in her mid-twenties. Her long, curly hair fell loosely on her shoulders, her eyes slightly raised, exuding a hint of charm. Her red lips were quite sexy.

"Ms. Smith, hello," Margaret greeted Nora warmly.

"Hello, Margaret," Nora replied with a smile.

"Do you have something to discuss with me?" Margaret asked.

"Yes, Samantha wants to learn more about singing. Do you have private teaching time?" Nora asked directly.

"Yes, I usually have time in the evenings and weekends," Margaret replied.

"Can Samantha learn singing from you?" Nora asked.

"Of course she can," Margaret said with a smile, "I graduated from the music academy and have been teaching music for several years. I rarely take on apprentices. Only exceptionally talented children will receive my additional attention. I would advise parents to nurture their children's interest in music."

This was a subtle way of praising Samantha's musical talent.

As a mother, hearing praise about her child's talents in any aspect naturally made Nora happy.

"Margaret, could you schedule the class time? Samantha will have you as a private tutor, okay?" Nora asked.

Margaret nodded. "Sure, let's exchange contact information, and I'll send you the finalized schedule later."

"Okay," Nora said, taking out her phone. "How much will it cost? Please text me the details."

Margaret said, "Alright."

They exchanged contact information.

Margaret added suddenly, "Ms. Smith, you're engaged, so the wedding must be coming soon."

Nora glanced at her, smiling but not saying anything.

Margaret added, "At the charity gala last time, Mr. Gordon proposed on the spot, and a friend of mine happened to be there and posted it on social media."

"Mr. Gordon is really romantic and generous. The engagement ring alone is worth 14 million dollars! Ms. Smith, you're so lucky to meet such an outstanding man."

These were common words, but Nora couldn't help but glance at Margaret again.

Intuitively, she seemed to detect a hint of jealousy in her words.

However, Margaret quickly added, "Mr. Gordon is also very lucky to have found a beautiful and elegant woman like you."

Upon hearing this, Nora smiled and thought she might have been overthinking it.

Margaret was just good at socializing and casually mentioned it to bridge the gap between them quickly.

"Margaret, I have something to attend to, so I'll leave now. Let's discuss anything via text."

"Alright, take care."

Nora nodded at Margaret and then left the school.

Sitting in Frederick's car, Nora glanced back at Margaret's figure before instructing Frederick to drive.

On the way, she received a call from an unknown number.

Nora said, "Hello."

"Ms. Smith, this is Johnnie," Johnnie said.

Nora thought for a moment and then remembered that Johnnie was Aaron's newly appointed assistant.

She smiled and said, "Hello, Johnnie, what's up?"

Johnnie said, "Ms. Smith, Mr. Gordon has had an accident!"

What!

The smile on Nora's face froze; she asked, "What happened to him?"

"Just now, Mr. Gordon was driving alone to discuss a project with a business partner. On the way to the destination, the car hit a guardrail accidentally, caught fire, and exploded!"
