Chapter 943 We Would Sleep in Separate Rooms Tonight

Aaron took a deep breath, trying to hide his excitement, and helped Nora.

Seeing Billy and Samantha hovering around, he said, "You two, back off. Don't touch your mom."

Nora chuckled. "Relax, it's not my first pregnancy."

Aaron didn't argue, carefully helping her to the couch.

He had a goofy smile on his face.

Gabriella noticed and teased, "Mr. Gordon, you tell others not to touch Nora, but shouldn't you be the one touching her less? Be careful tonight, don't wear her out."

Aaron's smile froze, and he glanced at Gabriella.

Seeing her amusement, he looked away and gently touched Nora's belly.

"Honey, I'm both the happiest and the most worried."

Nora blinked. "What are you worried about?"

Aaron replied, "I'm worried you'll kick me to the guest room at night."

Their eyes met, and Nora got it.

Aaron was putting on a show for Gabriella!

Nora played along. "Good idea, let's start sleeping in separate rooms tonight."

"Honey, don't be like that!" Aaron protested.

"It's decided!"

"Honey."

"Whining won't help!"

Nora made the final call, then looked at Jeffery and Caden.

"Dad, Mom, can we start dinner?"

"Sure, let's eat!"

Jeffery quickly told the servants to start dinner.

Gabriella, watching Aaron's sulky face, smiled.

This was exactly what she wanted.

A man who has been deprived for a while is easier to tempt!

She was waiting for Aaron to slip up!

As they sat down, the mood was pleasant.

Jeffery was so attentive to Nora that Aaron had no chance to show his care.

He ate elegantly, his eyes often on Nora, unable to hide his excitement.

After dinner, Jeffery called friends and family to share the news.

Soon, everyone knew.

Nora and Aaron's phones didn't stop ringing.

Nora felt a bit overwhelmed.

Being so pampered was a sweet burden.

"Nora, why don't you and Aaron stay here tonight?"

After making calls, Jeffery suggested with a smile.

Nora glanced at Gabriella and Johnnie, then at Aaron.

"Okay."

Aaron agreed.

Then Aaron turned to Johnnie. "Johnnie, book a luxury suite at the Oman Hotel for Gabriella tonight. Starting tomorrow, you'll be in charge of entertaining Gabriella, our client."

'Entertain Gabriella?'

Johnnie was surprised. "But I have a lot of other work."

Aaron waved it off. "Put your work on hold. Gabriella is an important client, entertaining her is more important."

Aaron paused, patting Johnnie's shoulder. "Think of it as a perk, mixing business with pleasure."

Aaron's eyes were calm and unreadable.

Johnnie didn't notice anything odd, feeling excited.

Dating Gabriella under the guise of work made him happy.

"Thank you, Mr. Gordon."

Gabriella was still figuring outhow to stay with Nora tonight, but Aaron had already made arrangements.

Gabriella squinted at Aaron's handsome face, suddenly understanding why he brought Johnnie back.

'Does he think I'm always clinging to Nora and getting in his way?'

'So Aaron brought Johnnie back?'

'Aaron's so possessive of Nora.'

'But the more possessive he is, the more fun this will be!'

Gabriella could almost see Nora's pained and disappointed face when she found out about Aaron's betrayal.

It was thrilling!

Gabriella's mind raced, and she hooked her arm around Johnnie's, smiling.

"Mr. Gordon, you've been incredibly kind to  Johnnie and me. We really appreciate everything you do."

"No need to thank me. Important clients deserve important treatment."

Aaron glanced at Johnnie again. "Besides, I consider Johnnie a friend and genuinely want him to be happy. So you better treat him well and not bully him."

Johnnie was touched, lowering his head without a word.

Gabriella pouted. "You're making me sound like a bad woman."

'Aren't you?'

Aaron glanced at her but said nothing.

After a while, Aaron signaled Johnnie to take Gabriella away.

Johnnie obeyed, taking Gabriella with him.

"So they are a couple? They don't seem to match," Jeffery commented.

Nora, intrigued, asked, "Mom, why don't they match?"

Jeffery replied, ""I've seen enough to know Gabriella's not content with settling for the ordinary."

"Johnnie is an assistant, not a low position, but still ordinary. How could Gabriella be interested in him? She's probably just bored and playing with him. They won't last."

Jeffery's analysis was spot on after just a brief meeting.

Nora sighed inwardly.

'Jeffery is using her usual way of thinking about people.'

'She can be wrong sometimes.'

'Back then, Jeffery also thought Aaron and I didn't match, and that Suzy was a better fit for him!'

'If I tell Jeffery now that Gabriella is Suzy's younger sister, I wonder what she'd think.'

As Nora was lost in thought, she heard Aaron speak.

"Mom, although I don't fully trust your judgment, your analysis makes some sense."

Jeffery glanced at him. "What do you mean you don't trust my judgment? What's wrong with it?"

Aaron raised an eyebrow, teasing, "Think about how you viewed Nora back then?"

Jeffery was momentarily speechless, glaring at him in embarrassment.

Then she pulled Nora close. "Tonight, you sleep with your dad."

Aaron was speechless. "Mom, even if you want me and Nora to sleep in separate rooms, you don't have to make me sleep with Dad. Don't we have any spare rooms?"

"We do have spare rooms," Jeffery said.

"Then why make me sleep with Dad?"

"Because we don't have extra bedding!"

Aaron was speechless.

What a great excuse!

"I'll have someone send it over right away."

Nora found it amusing and played along with Jeffery, "Who are you going to ask to send the bedding, Johnnie? Don't forget, his primary job now is to accompany Gabriella."
