Chapter 757 The Slut Outside Called
Everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter when they heard Millie's words.
Billy felt so embarrassed.
Seeing Alex laughing, too, Billy felt like he had found a kindred spirit.
"Alex, why are you laughing? Have you and Erin gotten a marriage certificate?"
Alex glanced at him with a look of disdain. "How can we get married before reaching the legal age?"
Billy was speechless.
Indeed!
Look at him; just spending too much time with Millie has made him silly!
Before long, the two from the Marriage Bureau arrived.
Facing a big shot like Aaron, they naturally didn't dare to say much.
They respectfully helped him and Nora process their marriage certificate on the spot.
Aaron gave each of the two from the Marriage Bureau a big gift.
The two staff members immediately smiled and left after offering their blessings.
Aaron looked at the freshly printed marriage certificates in his hand, smirked, took out his phone, took a picture, and then posted it on his Facebook.
He had to spread this good news far and wide.
Aaron rarely posted on Facebook, but this post quickly garnered a long list of likes and comments.
Acquaintances were sending private messages or calling to offer their congratulations.
His phone kept ringing.
Aaron was all smiles. He abandoned his usual aloof attitude, eagerly answered calls and messages, and thoroughly enjoyed the attention.
"Nora, come on, let's go eat and ignore him." Jacob gestured cheerfully for Nora and the children to go to the restaurant to eat.
"Okay."
Nora suppressed the warmth on her face and led the children to the dining table.
Meanwhile, Aaron was exchanging messages with Edric.
Edric: [Acting fast. Did I stimulate you?]
Aaron: [Don't flatter yourself; your words are not that important.]
Edric: [But the fact is, I got married before you.]
Aaron: [So what? The fact is, I'm happier than you, with a wife and kids, a happy family.]
Edric: [You're just showing off. One day, Jenny and I will definitely have ten or eight kids.]
Seeing Edric's jealousy almost overflowing the screen, Aaron raised an eyebrow and typed another line.
Aaron: [Take it easy. Once you have kids, your wife might become more important.]
This time, Edric didn't reply.
Probably because Aaron hit a sore spot.
These days, Edric was troubled.
"Alright, enough showing off, let's eat quickly," Caden called out to Aaron, who had been delaying joining the table.
Aaron regained his composure and proceeded to the dining establishment.
Noe and Seraphina were also called to the table.
Seraphina was initially a bit reserved, but with Nora's warm invitation, she gradually relaxed.
"Aaron and Nora have gotten married. Caden, when you and Jeffery go back, discuss and plan a good day to organize their wedding," Jacob instructed Caden and Jeffery.
Caden agreed.
Jeffery glanced at Nora and also agreed.
Jeffery felt a bit envious.
One's happiness could often be discerned from their countenance.
Nora looked even more beautiful and feminine than when Jeffery first met her.
That kind of femininity came from being nourished by love.
As a woman, who wouldn't want to have an enviable love?
Nora was truly a winner in life.
"Come on, Nora, from now on, we're all family, let's raise a toast,"
Jacob spoke, and everyone raised their glasses.
"Cheers!"
Millie happily raised her cup of yogurt upside down.
"Cheers!"
Several children responded one after another.
Everyone stood up.
"Congratulations, Mr. Gordon, Mrs. Gordon," Noe sincerely said.
Noe had been a witness to the love between Nora and Aaron all along.
His couldn't help but feel a bit teary.
"Thank you." Nora smiled knowingly.
"Uncle Noe, why are your eyes red? Are you going to cry?" Millie blurted out.
"I'm happy." Noe felt a bit embarrassed.
Seraphina handed him a few tissues.
Feeling her gentle gaze, Noe cleared his throat. "I really didn't cry."
"Wait to wipe your nose later," Seraphina said.
Noe was speechless.
Well, it was true that one might want to wipe their nose after their eyes got teary.
Noe naturally took the tissues.
Noe and Seraphina worked together quite well.
Nora's gaze swept over the two of them. Noe was sometimes quite emotional, while Seraphina seemed very rational.
The more Nora looked, the more she felt that Noe and Seraphina were a good match.
Everyone started eating.
Halfway through the meal, Caden's phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID and stood up, saying, "Dad, I need to take this call."
Jeffery's face instantly darkened.
It must be the little slut calling.
Caden always left at this point.
Shortly after, Caden returned to the table.
"Enjoy your meal, everyone. I'm leaving."
Jacob furrowed his brows. "Where are you going?"
"I made plans with some old friends to listen to music," Caden said.
He clearly made plans to meet up with a vixen!
Jeffery could no longer contain her anger.
She slammed the utensils on the table and stood up.
"Caden, I don't care who you are going to see, but to lie without batting an eye in front of Aaron and Nora today - that's simply shameless!"
Jeffery suddenly erupted, startling the children.
Especially Millie, who was closer, shook in fear, spilling soup from her spoon.
She moved closer to Billy, looking scared.
Billy furrowed his brow slightly, soothingly patting Millie's hand, then looked at Jeffery.
Everyone else stopped eating and watched Caden and Jeffery.
Caden's face darkened, suppressing his anger. "Jeffery, you want to make a scene in front of everyone; fine, what do you want? Tell me, what do you want?"
Seeing Caden accusing her instead of showing a sign of regret, Jeffery became even angrier.
She grabbed a spoon from the table and threw it at Caden.
"What do I want? Right now, I want to know which vixen you're fooling around with!"
Caden quickly dodged.
The spoon fell to the ground, shattering.
Caden's face turned livid with anger.
"Dad, you saw it, it's not that I didn't try to communicate with her properly. I just can't communicate with this shrew!" Caden said.
Jeffery was furious. "You shameless, calling me a shrew. If you were decent, would I act like this?"
Caden retorted, "How am I not decent? I said I was going to listen to music, and you insist on going crazy, accusing me of meeting a vixen. Jeffery, I have nothing more to say to you!"
"You!"
"Dad, I've had enough, she can do whatever she wants!"
Caden didn't want to linger, so he turned and left after speaking.
