Chapter 440 Moving Out Dr. Smith Is The Only Way
After leaving the restaurant, Nora thought for a moment and decided to send a message to Evella.
Nora: [Running away so quickly, are you feeling guilty?]
There was progress between the two of them.
Since she had ignited a fire for her brother, shouldn't she also add fuel to the fire for Evella?
Tsk, it seemed like playing matchmaker for others can become addictive.
Although she had decided that she would never do this kind of thing again in the future.
But facing reality was like getting slapped in the face by a tornado.
Evella quickly replied to her message.
Evella: [Nora, why would I feel guilty?]
Nora: [Without guilt, why did you run away after you saw Howard?]
Evella didn't answer the question but asked.
Evella: [Are you still eating?]
Nora's eyes moved slightly as she typed another line.
Nora: [Yeah, we're chatting while eating. Howard said he has feelings for you and wants to pursue you. He asked me to help him come up with ideas.]
Evella quickly sent a message back.
Evella: [It's impossible! He couldn't have said that!]
Nora: [How do you know he couldn't have said that? How well do you know him?]
The message kept showing that the other person was typing, but there was no reply.
The young girl must be struggling with how to respond.
Nora thought for a moment and continued typing.
Nora: [In fact, when I first met Howard in Houston, I didn't like him either. I thought he was arrogant, proud, and materialistic. But people always have two sides. After getting to know him more, I found out that Howard is actually a good guy beneath his surface.]
Nora: [He is arrogant and proud because of his family background. He grew up in a privileged environment and never had to bow down to anyone for anything. So, it's inevitable that he couldn't be as approachable as ordinary people.]
Nora: [And his materialism is also a result of his upbringing. His family's education instilled some ideologies in him, making him think he was superior in every aspect. That's why he initially didn't like me.]
Nora: [But if you think about it again, his dislike for me was because of his younger sister Suzy, which shows that he's protective. And despite being arrogant and cold, he's not heartless. He's a medical professional and has saved countless patients over the years.]
Nora: [And he doesn't have the negative traits of some wealthy heirs who misbehave just because they have money and power. He has always conducted himself with integrity.]
Nora: [So, to sum it up, Howard is an outstanding talent that is hard to come by. Evella, if he wants to pursue you, consider being his girlfriend.]
Nora typed out long passages.
She looked at the text messages and chuckled.
Oh, Howard, this can be considered repaying a wrong with kindness.
If he can really win over Evella, she should ask him for a thank-you gift.
Evella: [Nora, did you join a matchmaker class? You're so good with words.]
Nora laughed and replied.
Nora: [Did I convince you then? If I didn't, I'll go learn some more and come back.]
Evella sent three ellipsis dots.
Is this speechless?
Nora smiled and didn't reply.
With that said, whether they can succeed or not depends on themselves.
Putting away her phone, she asked Frederick to drive her to the Woodhouse family.
Upon entering the villa, Nora found Chloe sitting on the sofa with Mrs. Woodhouse, waiting for her.
Seeing her arrival, Chloe's eyes lit up as she stood up and grabbed her. "Nora, you're here," she said, excitedly.
Chloe was being so enthusiastic, probably expecting to eat her "chocolate."
Nora smiled and asked, "Chloe, have you eaten yet?"
"I have," Chloe hurriedly nodded, her gaze focused on Nora's bag.
Knowing what she meant, Nora turned to Mrs. Woodhouse and asked, "Is Ryan upstairs, Mrs. Woodhouse?"
"He is," Mrs. Woodhouse smiled.
"Well, Chloe, let's go upstairs and play with Ryan," Nora suggested.
Chloe looked at her but said nothing, following Nora upstairs.
Mrs. Woodhouse knew Nora was going to give Chloe some medicine, so she purposely slowed down and didn't immediately follow them.
Nora led Chloe to the staircase's turning point. Seeing no one around, she took a pill from her bag and handed it to her.
Nora said, "Here you go."
Chloe's eyes lit up, and she promptly swallowed the pill.
"Nora, I feel like I'm getting smarter," Chloe said with her head tilted.
Nora remained silent. If she became smarter so quickly, then she would be more of a fraud than a Master healer.
Of course, there still had to be well-intentioned lies.
Nora smiled and said, "Chloe, you were never dumb. It's just that a tiny wire in your head got accidentally bent. It will straighten out after some time."
Upon hearing this, Chloe's eyes glistened. "When will the wire straighten out?" she asked.
Nora replied, "If you keep obediently eating chocolate every day, it will happen soon."
Chloe eagerly nodded, and replied, "I will be very obedient."
Nora chuckled, and said, "I'm going to treat Ryan now. Do you want to go in and find him, Chloe?"
Upon hearing the word "treat," Chloe shook her head vigorously. "I don't want treatment, I don't want shots, and I don't want to play with Ryan anymore. I'm leaving!"
With that, she turned around and ran.
Mrs. Woodhouse was coming up the stairs, and seeing Chloe running so fast, she quickly said, "Chloe, are you leaving? Don't run so fast; be careful not to fall."
Chloe replied, "I'm going back to sleep, bye bye, Mrs. Woodhouse."
"Goodbye," Mrs. Woodhouse said and watched her run downstairs before finally going upstairs.
Seeing Nora waiting for her in the same spot, she asked with a smile, "Did Chloe take the pill?"
"Yes," Nora nodded.
Mrs. Woodhouse said, "I am really looking forward to the day when she recovers."
Nora smiled; she was also looking forward to it.
Gordon's group branch.
Aaron had just finished two overseas video conferences, and he raised his hand to massage his tired forehead.
A knock on the door sounded, and Noe walked in with a food box.
Noe informed, "Mr. Gordon, I ordered lunch for you. Eat it while it's hot."
"Um, just leave it there," Aaron replied in a subdued voice, then picked up the documents on the table to review.
Noe placed the food box on the table in the break room, and seeing that Aaron showed no intention of eating, he became somewhat anxious.
The CEO's stomach could have been better; he had to eat on time.
But if he told him directly, he certainly wouldn't listen obediently.
Noe's eyes flickered, and he said, "Mr. Gordon, your stomach isn't well. Dr. Smith reminded me to make sure you eat on time."
Upon hearing this, Aaron paused his review of the documents.
He glanced at his wristwatch for the time, and his expression softened slightly.
He then set aside the documents on his hand and got up to go to the break room.
Noe smiled subtly.
As expected, as long as he mentioned Dr. Smith, the CEO wouldn't defy him.
Noe arranged the dishes from the food box one by one.
Aaron sat down at the dining table, picked up the fork, and prepared to eat.
At this moment, there was a faint noise from outside.
Aaron's forehead creased slightly, and he glanced at Noe.
Noe understood and said, "Mr. Gordon, take your time to eat. I will go out and have a look."
