Chapter 408 Men Are So Scary

"Yes. My older brother just had his assistant gather some information," Nora said.

Evella stared at Flynt with a pale face, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Flynt, how could you be this kind of person!"

Flynt's face gradually darkened.

He wanted to offer some more excuses, but since Nora had already investigated him, there was no longer any point in explaining himself.

Nora looked at him and said, "Flynt, will you turn yourself in, or should I do that for you?"

She actually wanted to send him to jail!

Flynt looked gloomy and moved his head, making a creaking sound.

"Nora, I advise you not to meddle in this!"

He was no longer the cheerful person he used to be, showing his aggressive side.

Nora pursed her red lips and took out her phone, ready to call the police.

His eyes flashed fiercely, quickly slapping her hand and pulling her to the table, pushing her down onto it He picked up a cup of water, pouring it into her mouth.

"Since you already know there's something in this water, why don't we share it? When the police come, we can at least keep each other company inside!"

Caught off guard, Nora struggled to break free but couldn't. She could only tightly close her mouth.

Standing nearby, Evella screamed and hurriedly went to pull Flynt away.

"Flynt, let go of Nora!"

He suddenly turned his head, ruthlessly kicking her stomach.

Evella cried out in pain and fell to the ground, clutching her abdomen, unable to get up.

He then turned back, trying to pry open Nora's mouth to pour the drugged water into it.

Nora struggled and shook her head, unable to reach for any medical equipment. Her gaze fell on the water pot, swiftly grabbing it before smashing it onto his head.

"Ahh!"

Flynt cried out in pain, his grip loosening.

Taking the opportunity, Nora pushed him away and then quickly pulled Evella, who had just managed to get up, and ran outside.

Flynt was covered in blood, cursing as he chased after them.

Outside, Nora tightly held onto Evella as they ran, calling out Frederick's name.

However, Frederick seemed to have disappeared and wasn't outside waiting for them.

Nora was anxious because she had heard that drug addicts either didn't have any symptoms or were out of control when their cravings kicked in.

She had just provoked Flynt and was afraid he'd lose control.

Just as he was about to catch up, a tall figure approaching caught Nora's attention.

She looked closely and instantly felt relieved.

"Thomas!"

It was Aaron.

He heard Nora say she was having dinner here, so he changed his plans and came to this place. He wanted to have a 'coincidental' encounter with her and then go back together after dinner.

However, he didn't expect to see her running toward him in disarray the moment he entered the restaurant.

Aaron's face turned serious as he quickly went to meet her, pulling her into an embrace.

"What happened?"

Nora took deep breaths, swallowing before pointing toward Flynt's approaching figure.

"Thomas, he's drug addict; call the police to catch him!" Aaron narrowed his blue eyes, looking at Flynt's blood-covered face with a cold and stern expression.

Was Flynt a drug addict?

"Hurry, call the police!"

Noe, who was beside Aaron, responded and took out his phone to call the police.

Flynt ran out of breath. When he saw Aaron arrive, his expression changed instantly.

Knowing he was in big trouble today; he didn't waste any more time and turned around to run.

"Where's Frederick?" Aaron didn't see Frederick and immediately called out in a low voice.

Frederick had just gone to the restroom and was now rushing over.

Upon hearing Aaron's call, he quickly responded, "Mr. Gordon, I'm here."

Aaron glanced at him, showing anger his cold gaze. "Catch him!"

"Yes!"

Frederick quickly went to catch Flynt.

Unexpectedly, Flynt had some skills. However, he was no match for Frederick; a professional bodyguard.

After evading a few rounds, Frederick firmly pinned Flynt down.

Aaron looked at Noe. "Did you call the police?"

"I did."

"Good, you and Frederick take him outside and wait. Don't soil our eyes here," Aaron ordered coldly.

"Yes," Noe responded and, along with Frederick, brought the struggling and cursing Flynt out of the restaurant.

With the situation finally under control, Nora sighed in relief.

She glanced at the panting Evella beside her, walking over to hold her hand.

"Evella, are you alright? Are you injured?"

Evella's eyes slightly reddened as she recalled the scene just now, still feeling scared.

She sniffed and controlled her emotions, shaking her head. "I'm fine, Nora. I don't want to cry, but your tone was too gentle."

Compassion flashed in Nora's eyes as she hugged Evella and gently patted her back.

"Don't cry; thank goodness you're okay."

Her warmth made Evella's tears burst out again uncontrollably.

She clung tightly to Nora, burying her head in her neck as she suppressed her cries.

Meanwhile, Nora continued to comfort her softly.

Aaron, standing on the side, furrowed his eyebrows slightly with an uncomfortable feeling.

What should he do if he didn't want his girlfriend comforting someone else?

Even same-sex comforting wasn't acceptable!

"Nora, what exactly happened here?" Just as Aaron was about to speak, he pulled Nora closer to him.

Nora fell silent for a moment. "This Flynt is a scumbag. Today, I accompanied Sandy to the hospital for a prenatal check-up and encountered a girl…"

She briefly recounted the incident.

Evella listened attentively, still somewhat suspicious.

She never expected that such a handsome and charismatic idol could be this kind of person!

He was both a womanizer and a drug addict. He had no morals to speak of!

His celebrity aura shattered on the ground in an instant.

After listening to Nora's recount, Aaron raised an eyebrow.

"I see. Nora, Sandy knew to ask your older brother for help, so why didn't you think of asking me for help?"

Nora was speechless.

Even in this situation, he was jealous?

Nora glanced at him, ignoring him.

Seeing Evella with red eyes and tears, she sighed and found a tissue to wipe the tears away.

"It's fine now, stop crying. Fortunately, you weren't deceived or involved in anything you shouldn't have."

Evella sniffled and nodded.

"I just can't understand how Flynt could be that kind of person. I used to be so infatuated with him."

Nora agreed, "Right? He looks so good, but he's actually scum!"

Evella said, "Nora, I don't want to date anymore. Men are so scary."

"I..." Nora was about to agree.

But when she thought about Evella's current heartbreak, she realized that if she agreed like this, it'd traumatize Evella.

Thus, she immediately changed her stance. "Evella, there are still many good men in the world. Don't let one bad experience make you fear all of them."
