Chapter 730 Aaron Knows Nothoing About Romance
Nora leaned on Aaron's chest to calm her emotions and couldn't help but think of Suzy.
She asked, "Is it because you saw your parents' unhappy marriage that you didn't think about marrying Suzy Hamilton?"
Aaron paused and nodded. "Yes."
Nora blinked. "So if your parents' marriage was happy, would you consider marrying her?"
Aaron tensed up, alarm bells ringing in his mind.
Staring into Nora's clear eyes, he said, "There is no 'if', fate has destined me to be with you."
Aaron's words were sincere, but Nora just shrugged, unimpressed.
Fate played tricks on people.
If Jeffrey and Cade's marriage was perfect, Aaron wouldn't have ended up with her!
Aaron was a perfectionist, and he would definitely find fault with her.
Fortunately, Aaron had childhood shadows, which helped her!
With that in mind, she hugged Aaron's head and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Alright, you should learn from your parents and treat me and the kids well."
Aaron smirked, pulling her closer to him. "Of course."
As Aaron's kiss was about to land, Nora quickly dodged.
"Let's talk business. Is the skin mask really safe?"
She was very concerned.
"Trust Edric, he may seem unreliable, but he's very good at his work," Aaron said.
Nora looked at Aaron, hesitant to speak.
Aaron seemed to see through her thoughts.
"Don't worry, even if we get exposed tomorrow, it's fine. Worst case, we'll just come clean and we won't be able to immediately bring the mastermind to justice. Don't worry about my life being threatened."
Upon hearing this, Nora reluctantly accepted.
"Shouldn't we contact the police?"
"I'll handle it."
As they conversed, Frederick drove the car back to the villa.
Getting out of the car, Nora asked Aaron not to disturb her.
Because she needed to start researching and preparing the medicine.
On the other side.
In Richard's apartment.
Howard had surgery in the afternoon, so he didn't stay long and bid farewell to Richard.
Not long after he left, Joseph woke up.
Thinking about what happened in the hospital, he looked apologetic.
"Richard, I hope I didn't hurt you guys."
Richard said, "We're fine. You don't need to apologize because it's not your fault."
Joseph sighed. "Richard, I don't know when it might happen again. Once it does, it might hurt someone. You can send me to a mental hospital."
Upon hearing this, Richard furrowed his brow. "It's not that serious. Don't worry. Dr. Smith has gone back to make the antidote, and maybe it will be ready soon."
Joseph forced a smile but didn't argue further.
Richard looked at him, thinking about his feelings for Evella, his eyes flickering.
"Joseph, a few days back, you suggested that I choose another man to be Evella's boyfriend. Do you still hold the same opinion?"
At the mention, Joseph looked a bit embarrassed.
"Sorry, Richard. I didn't mean to ruin Evella and Howard's relationship. What I said before wasn't from my heart."
This was the Joseph he knew!
Joseph definitely had feelings for Evella, but he knew how to restrain himself, not to force.
Richard patted Joseph's shoulder, looking relieved.
"Joseph, I'll find you a good girl in the future."
Joseph laughed. "Richard, I'm still young. I don't want to get married yet."
"You're not that young anymore, in two years you'll be almost thirty, you should have been married by now. We have held you back," Richard said.
"Don't say that, without you and Zack, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Joseph and Richard shared a smile, and Richard told Joseph about the phone call.
Upon hearing that the mastermind behind the scenes wanted to meet him tomorrow, and that Aaron planned to go in his place, Joseph's expression turned serious.
"The other party must want me to do something, but unfortunately, my hypnosis has been lifted; I have no memory at all."
Richard said, "Don't worry, that assassin is just a puppet, we'll see what Mr. Gordon has to say after meeting the boss tomorrow."
Joseph nodded, hesitating. "But can Mr. Gordon really fool them with a skin mask?"
Richard said, "At this point, we have no other choice but to trust him."
Joseph smiled. "Mr. Gordon and Dr. Smith are truly a perfect couple."
Richard nodded in agreement. "Indeed, we've entrusted them with a lot."
He Hoped that everything would go smoothly the next day, and Aaron could extract some useful information in place of Joseph.
The next evening, Edric air-freighted a human skin mask to Lindwood City, handing it over to Aaron.
Edric didn't return, so he called Aaron.
"Did you receive the item?"
At that moment, Aaron was sitting on the sofa playing with the skin mask.
Looking at the mask made of an unknown material, as thin as a cicada's wings, he smirked.
"I've received it."
Edric said, "Don't forget to pay."
Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Alright, consider it an early wedding gift for you."
Edric was speechless. "As long as Nora agrees."
Her best friend Jenny was getting married, so she would definitely prepare a present.
Edric was good at hitting the mark.
"Anything else?" Aaron asked.
"What's the use of this skin mask?"
"It's for deception. I'll explain next time. I'm hanging up now."
Aaron hung up directly and then started tinkering with the skin mask.
Meanwhile, after spending a day working with medicinal herbs in the basement, Nora walked out looking tired.
When she entered the living room and saw Aaron sitting on the sofa, she was slightly taken aback.
"Joseph, why are you here?"
Aaron was about to get up, but upon hearing Nora's call, he glanced at her and adopted Joseph's tone of voice.
"I came to see if you've made the antidote."
Nora looked at him as he approached, immediately sensing something was strange.
This was clearly Aaron.
Nora blinked, curiously examining Aaron. She reached out and poked his face.
"This face is Joseph's face. It's really amazing."
Seeing that Nora quickly noticed something was amiss, Aaron looked regretful.
He pulled Nora close, planting a kiss near her lips.
"Honey, it's not good to have an affair with other men behind your husband's back."
Nora was stunned, inevitably thinking of the joke she made with Aaron a few days ago.
Aaron was quick to learn.
Nora raised her hand to hook Aaron's neck, teasingly saying, "My husband is ugly. He knows nothing about romance, causing pain every time we have sex. I've been considering dumping him!"
Aaron was speechless.
Nora was openly mocking him in his face.
With an enigmatic grin playing on his lips, he subtly drew Nora closer to him.
"I've seen your man. Is someone like that considered ugly?"
