Chapter 621 Something Was Off!

Nora couldn't help but find it somewhat ridiculous.

Amused by her own foolishness, she burst into laugher.

Clearly, she had been hurt by a man before, yet she still didn't learn her lesson.

Whenever Aaron showed her a bit of affection, she thought Aaron considered her everything.

Men all have their flaws, and they never changed.

"Nora, listen to me; it was Margaret who came to me willingly. I had a bit too much to drink and I've been feeling quite stifled these past few days, which led me to lose my composure and commit an error. Please forgive me this time. You know, you are the only one I love." Aaron started to put on his pants while pleading for Nora's forgiveness.

Nora looked at him, feeling that the Aaron in front of her was terribly unfamiliar.

He was caught in the act, yet he still sought excuses to absolve himself!

"Mr. Gordon, why are you saying this? It was clearly you who invited me here." Margaret stood up, covering her chest with a blanket, looking displeased.

Aaron finished putting on his pants and got off the bed, glaring at her and saying, "Shut up! Get dressed and get out of here right now!"

His current demeanor completely lacked the earlier tenderness in bed.

Margaret felt extremely wronged, saying, "Mr. Gordon, I am at least a girl with dignity. If you hadn't hinted at me, how could I have come to you?"

Aaron just felt Margaret was being incredibly foolish.

"You dare say that again, and I'll kick you out immediately!" he said.

He looked fierce while Nora stood by with an expressionless face, casting a glance at Margaret and asking, "Margaret, did he hint for you to come to him?"

Margaret replied, "Yes, on the first day I came to teach Samantha, we exchanged numbers. That night, Mr. Gordon asked me to come here."

So, that was it.

That night, her instincts were not wrong.

The first time Aaron saw Margaret, he showed a strong interest in her.

Nora's heart felt like it had been cut by a blunt knife again; it hurt.

Margaret's words echoed in her ears. "He also confessed to me that it was love at first sight, that I was the woman he intended to marry. He pledged to wait patiently, assuring me that once he became more established, he would divorce you and make me his wife"

These words coming from Margaret left Nora incredulous.

These were typical words a scumbag would say.

Did Aaron really say that? Or was Margaret trying to sow discord, making her detest Aaron even more?

At that moment, Aaron suddenly turned around and slapped Margaret, saying, "You keep spouting nonsense; you shameless woman; get dressed and get out!"

Margaret was stunned by Aaron's slap.

She was shocked and angry, immediately covering her face as tears streamed down.

She said, "Mr. Gordon, you are too much. How could you slap me after sleeping with me? I have never seen a man as despicable as you!"

"Dare you to say it again?" Aaron was furious, grabbing Margaret by the hair and pinching her neck, his eyes filled with ferocity as if he wanted to strangle her.

Margaret screamed loudly, struggling desperately, looking panicked.

Nora coldly watched the scene unfold, feeling Aaron was scum, but she didn't sympathize with Margaret either.

She just found it all too absurd, too ludicrous.

Her gaze slowly fell on her own hands; Nora fell silent, took off her ring, and placed it on the bedside table.

"Aaron, we can call off the engagement." With that, she didn't even look at Aaron again, turning and walking away.

Aaron let go of Margaret quickly, picked up his shirt from the floor, draped it over himself, and then hurriedly followed her out.

He said, "Nora, don't listen to her; forgive me once; I was really just confused for a moment. I promise I won't do this again in the future." Aaron grabbed Nora's arm, a hint of disgust flashing in Nora's eyes.

Nora said, "Let go, don't touch me."

"Nora, don't break up with me." Instead of letting go, he pulled her into his arms.

Nora pursed her red lips, took out a silver needle, and pricked a point on his left hand.

Aaron's left hand instantly became immobile.

He quickly let go and took two steps back, his face darkening.

He said, "Nora, I don't want to lose you, so I'm trying to coax you. You should know when to stop. I'm a man; having a few women around is normal."

Nora was about to turn and leave when she paused at his words.

She turned back, looking at Aaron steadily, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

"Is this what you truly mean?" she asked.

Aaron had never spoken such words before.

The current Aaron was becoming increasingly unfamiliar to her.

"This is the truth," Aaron said, "Nora, I am Aaron, a business tycoon of our generation, surrounded by women coming and going."

"Besides, before I met you, I had been with many women. Don't take it so seriously. All you need to know is that you're the one I love the most. Wouldn't you be happier if you didn't concern yourself with all this?"

Was he saying that he had slept with other women before?

Nora's fingers slightly curled as she deliberately asked, "When you say the women you've slept with, who are you referring to? Besides Sunny Remington and Suzy Hamilton, who else have you been with?"

Aaron's gaze flickered slightly, "A lot. But after I met you, other than these two, there have been no others. No, wait, there's also the one in the room."

Nora looked at Aaron calmly, but her heart in turmoil.

Something was off!

Just now, she had asked deliberately, just to test the Aaron in front of her.

Aaron had been honest with her, admitting he had accidentally slept with Sunny four years ago.

He had said that he and Suzy had a clean relationship, with nothing happening between them.
But now, this Aaron claimed he had been with Suzy too!

How could he say that?

Doubts filled Nora's mind as she looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar face in front of her.

At that moment, Margaret came out dressed.

Nora suppressed her tumultuous emotions and said, "Aaron, let's take a break for now. Let me calm down before we talk."

She needed to leave this place first; otherwise, she couldn't think clearly.

"Nora, my hand." Aaron glanced at his numb left hand, a hint of annoyance in his eyes.

"In twenty minutes, the acupoint will automatically release," As Nora spoke, she quickly walked away.

'You always resort to the same tricks!' Aaron cursed silently in his mind.

If she weren't somewhat useful, he wouldn't have stooped so low to coax her!

Behind him, Margaret, with a slightly swollen face, looked at Aaron with resentment.

Aaron glanced at her, his demeanor changing, no longer the fierce and menacing look from before. He said, "Margaret, come here, let me see your face."

Margaret looked at him warily, not daring to approach.

Aaron smirked, walked up to her, and used his good hand to touch her face, saying, "Margaret, why can't you use your brain? I was trying to placate her; why would you add fuel to the fire? Does your face hurt?"
