Chapter 761 Why Did She Hate Her?
Nora looked at Edric, only to see his handsome face darken even more.
She thought Edric would get angry and scold Jenny.
But Edric just shook his head helplessly, cleaned up the filth a bit, and then scooped Jenny.
"Nora, I'm leaving first," Edric said.
Nora responded and made way for them.
After Jenny finished vomiting, feeling relieved, she closed her eyes.
But she kept muttering, "I don't want to go back; I want to dance; put me down; you smell bad!"
She even complained about his smell!
Edric's handsome face darkened, gritting his teeth. "Is it me who smells, or is it you?"
"It's you who smells, you stinky thing; you're bullying me; Nora, save me! There's a stinky thing trying to take me away!"
Jenny, with a dazed look, pitifully tried to tilt her head back, looking for Nora.
Nora wanted to laugh a bit. Watching Edric suppressing his anger and gently comforting Jenny in his arms as they left, She shook her head.
It seemed that Edric still deeply loved Jenny.
Hopefully, the two of them would grow old together.
"Ulysses, are you okay?"
A voice came from behind; Nora turned around and saw a man quickly walking to Ulysses and supporting him, frowning.
"I'm fine."
Ulysses held his forehead, forcing a smile.
Thinking of Ulysses' uncontrollable actions towards Jenny on the dance floor just now, Nora pursed her lips and walked up to him.
Nora asked, "Ulysses, do you like Jenny?"
At the question, Ulysses' gaze flickered slightly, then nodded. "Yes, I like Teacher Jenny."
Nora looked at him. "You should know that Jenny is already married. Do you want to be her lover?"
Ulysses said, "So what if she's married? she's not living happily."
Nora frowned. "How do you know Jenny's marriage isn't happy?"
"If her marriage were happy, she wouldn't come here to drown her sorrows in alcohol."
Ulysses paused. "And Mr. Bishop isn't a good husband. He has many women around him; I don't think he can stay faithful to Teacher Jenny."
This statement left Nora momentarily speechless.
After a moment of silence, she said, "Regardless, Jenny is a married woman; you shouldn't covet her."
Ulysses didn't say anything while holding his forehead, clearly not taking Nora's words to heart.
Seeing the bloodstain on his forehead, Nora didn't say anything more to persuade him.
"You should go to the hospital to get that wound treated," Nora said.
Ulysses responded and left with his companion supporting him.
Nora watched Ulysses' back, furrowing her brow.
It was quite interesting, this couple, Edric and Jenny, seemed to have attracted other romantic interests at the same time.
Nora sighed inwardly and prepared to head back home.
As she turned around, she caught a glimpse of a man's figure flashing past the railing on the second floor.
She blinked, confusion apparent in her eyes
She felt like that man was Aaron.
Thinking of what Aaron had told her, that he was coming out to find Caden, he might have come here to find Caden.
With that in mind, Nora took the elevator to the second floor.
The second floor was quieter than the first.
A long row of private rooms were tightly closed, with occasional sounds of music and laughter coming from each one.
With so many private rooms, she didn't want to search through each one.
Nora thought for a moment, then took out her phone to call Aaron.
The call went through, but no one answered.
She wasn't sure if Aaron had heard it.
Nora didn't call back and instead decided to search through each private room.
Pushing open one of the doors, the room was dimly lit.
Faint laughter and chatter filled the room.
Nora squinted and scanned the room, seeing only young people inside, none of whom she was looking for.
She continued her search, opening three more rooms in a row, but didn't see Caden and Aaron. Instead, she almost got pulled into one of the rooms by a drunken man.
Nora didn't dare to search for people anymore randomly, so she decided to head back first.
'The man I saw earlier might have just looked like Aaron, not actually him,' Nora thought to herself, ready to turn around, when she saw someone coming out of the farthest room.
She instinctively stopped and looked ahead.
The person coming out was dressed in costume and had makeup on their face.
She walked quickly towards Nora, paused for a moment when she saw her, then hurriedly left.
Because of the heavy makeup on her face, Nora couldn't make out her features.
But the way the person looked at her just now seemed to carry a hint of resentment.
Nora blinked, feeling somewhat puzzled.
'Perhaps I had mistaken something.'
'I didn't know this person, so there was no reason for her to hate me.'
As Nora pondered, another person walked out from the innermost room.
Nora focused her gaze and raised her eyebrows.
The person coming out was Aaron and Caden.
It seemed she didn't need to search anymore.
Nora observed Caden, reminiscing on his declaration at the Gordon Manor about attending a musical performance.
Combined with the woman she had just encountered, it seemed Caden didn't lie.
Nora walked up to them.
"Aaron, Uncle Gordon."
"Nora is here too."
Caden didn't look too good, and upon seeing Nora, he smiled awkwardly.
"Honey, what should you call my dad?" Aaron's deep brown eyes held a meaningful look as he asked an unrelated question.
Nora was taken aback, feeling a slight warmth in her ears.
She and Aaron had just obtained their marriage certificate, so she should start calling Caden 'Dad'.
But she was still a bit uncomfortable.
"Yes, Nora, you should call me Dad." Caden chuckled.
"Dad." Nora knew she had to say it eventually, so she suppressed her discomfort and called Caden's dad.'
"Good," Caden chuckled.
Nora didn't really care about how she should address Caden; she was more curious about what was going on with Caden.
Was he really just here for a music performamnce?
The three of them walked towards the elevator.
Perhaps hearing Nora's thoughts, Caden said to Aaron, "Aaron, you saw it too. I was here for a music performance with Vincent and the others, but your mom embarrassed me; I'm really going to be driven crazy by your mom."
Aaron remained silent, his face calm.
"If you weren't so fickle when you were young, she wouldn't have lost faith in you," Aaron said.
Caden choked a bit, muttering, "It's normal for men to play around occasionally."
"Just occasionally?" Aaron's tone was mocking.
Caden choked again, coughing lightly with a hint of guilt.
"Aaron, can you show me some respect in front of Nora?"
Aaron's handsome face remained expressionless.
He pressed the elevator button and said calmly, "You have to earn your own dignity; it's up to you."
He was unwilling to bring up Caden's past.
For example, Hollis, perhaps if asked about her now, Caden wouldn't even remember such a person.
