Chapter 488 Making You Become a Lucky Dog

"You said Auntie Chloe came just now?" Kenneth asked.

"Yes." A servant quickly said, "Mrs. Hamilton led Ms. Chloe upstairs. Not long after, Ms. Hamilton came back."

"And then?" Kenneth asked.

"And then we got busy," Wendy said. "After about forty minutes, Ms. Chloe left. Then Mrs. Hamilton went upstairs again. Later on, I faintly heard an argument upstairs, followed by Mrs. Hamilton's cry when she fell down the stairs."

Hearing this, Kenneth narrowed his eyes in thought.

"An argument? Was mom arguing with Suzy?" he asked.

"It seems so. Because after Ms. Chloe left, only Ms. Hamilton was at home," Wendy said.

"Did you hear what they were arguing about?" Kenneth asked.

"No," Wendy shook her head.

Kenneth looked at the other servants, and they all shook their heads as well.

One of the servants said, "We were all busy and didn't hear anything. Later on, Mrs. Sandy came back, and Ms. Hamilton called her a Jinx and asked us to kick her out."

Hearing this, Kenneth became angry.

"You kicked her out?" He asked.

The servant sensed the coldness in his tone and lowered their gaze, nervously saying, "We dared not defy what Ms. Hamilton said because she also said that Mrs. Sandy was an impostor."

He surveyed the room with his cold brown eyes, his voice chilling.

"Listen, all of you remember this: Sandy is my wife, the future hostess. Anyone who disrespects her disrespects me!" he warned.

There was a threat in his tone. The group of servants dropped their heads, afraid to speak.

Kenneth continued, "As for Suzy's words, you don't have to pay too much attention. She is already married and has no right to command you in the Hamilton Villa!

"Furthermore, I don't want to hear any more slanders against my wife like Jinx. Once I find out, you can only wish to stay in Lindwood City! Do you hear me?"

"Yes, Sir!" the servants quickly responded.

With a cold face, Kenneth turned around and went upstairs to his and Sandy's bedroom.

At this moment, Sandy was lying in bed, looking pale.

Seeing Kenneth come in, she struggled to sit up and leaned against the headboard, with her eyes full of nervousness.

"Are you still in pain?" Kenneth asked softly, sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"I'm not in pain anymore," Sandy replied, hesitating, looking at his handsome face. "Kenneth, Suzy already knows my true identity, and Dad probably knows by now, too."

Hearing this, Kenneth said, "Dad just called me. He does know."

Sandy nervously asked, "So, is our marriage going to end early?"

The Hamilton family all knew she was a Jinx. Being a prestigious family, they surely couldn't tolerate someone like her.

Kenneth squinted his brown eyes, leaned forward slightly, and gazed at her. "Sandy, do you really want to get a divorce with me?" he asked.

"Of course not!" Sandy quickly denied it.

She didn't want a divorce, but reality was not something she could control.

Sandy swallowed, her eyes becoming slightly wet, and said, "I am a Jinx. If we don't get a divorce, my presence will bring disasters to you."

Tears welled up in her eyes, making her look fragile and in pain.

Kenneth sighed internally, pity flashing in his eyes as he reached out and brushed her hair behind her ear.

"Sandy, I don't believe in all that. If you insist on being a Jinx, then I'll be a lucky dog. As long as you're with me, I will absorb all your misfortunes and turn you into a lucky dog just like me," he said tenderly, soothing her worries.

He was serious, his tone gentle as beautiful eyes resembled a vast starry sky, covering and containing everything.

Sandy looked at his handsome features, feeling deeply moved, and tears streamed down uncontrollably.

"Kenneth." She wanted to say something but got choked up and couldn't form a complete sentence.

Kenneth sighed lightly, wiping away the tears at the corners of her eyes. "Why are you crying? Why do you cry so easily? Don't give birth to a crybaby in the future, okay?" he teased.

His tone was indulgent, and the warmth in his hands spread to her limbs.

Sandy wanted to cry and laugh at the same time, her tears falling even more uncontrollably.

She didn't want him to tease her anymore, so she suddenly threw herself into Kenneth's embrace.

Kenneth gently stroked her hair, comforting her silently, letting her vent freely.

After a while, Sandy sniffed and stood up straight. Looking into his deep and handsome eyes, she whispered, "But Mom fell down the stairs. Maybe it's really because of me."

She still couldn't get past that barrier in her heart.

Perhaps Emma's misfortune was truly because she was a Jinx.

"Sandy, don't think like that. Things are always changing. Mom falling was just an accident, and you weren't even there. What does it have to do with you?" Kenneth said.

Sandy bit her lips. She replied, "But Mom got hurt."

"Stop saying that," Kenneth interrupted her words, then reached out and held her shoulder.

He stated, "Sandy, just remember one thing. No matter if you used to be Cora or Jinx, that is all in the past. You are now my wife, the future mistress of the Hamilton family. Whoever dares to speak ill of you, you can deal with her!"

His voice was cold and filled with commanding authority. He was supporting her!

Sandy's emotions surged, and she felt a warm current flowing through her body. She was deeply moved.

"Deal with her? Can I go as far as to kill and set fires?" Sandy said.

Kenneth laughed, and replied, "You are my wife. You can do whatever you want. Even if the sky falls, I will bear it for you."

His brown eyes contained tenderness and indulgence.

Sandy's tears were about to fall again.

It must be Sandy who brought her good luck, allowing her to marry such a good man!

"All right, no more crying. If you keep crying, we might really have a crybaby!" Kenneth wiped away her tears, deliberately teasing her.

He added, "It'll be fine if you have a girl, but if you have a boy, he will be the future heir of Hamilton's Group. Do you think it's normal for him to cry with a runny nose every day?"

Sandy imagined such a scene and laughed.

Kenneth eased up a little, and there was a smile in his brows and eyes.

"Are you hungry? I'll have the servants prepare some food for you."

Sandy touched her belly and nodded; although she wasn't hungry, the child couldn't lack nutrition.

Kenneth tucked the covers for her and got up, saying, "Eat your meal and rest well at home. I'll go to the hospital now."

When Sandy heard him mention the hospital, she thought of the scene where Emma was bleeding all over the floor at the time. Instantly, worry filled her eyes. She looked at Kenneth, wanting to say something but not knowing how.

Kenneth rubbed her hair and softly said, "Don't worry. Nora has already gone to the hospital. Mom will be fine."

Sandy nodded and silently prayed in her heart, hoping that Emma would be safe.

Nora was rushed to the hospital.

At this moment, Ebenezer was speaking with the hospital director, William Hill, who had a serious expression, while Suzy stood beside him.
