Chapter 238 Tell Me About Your First Time

Quinn and Baldwin both turned to look at Nora, who had tried to smooth things over. Quinn huffed and said nothing further, just poured herself another drink with bravado that seemed at odds with her delicate looks.

Baldwin, who had three drinks in, was feeling buzzed. He exhaled deeply and began eating the dish before him.

The atmosphere grew somewhat tense until Quinn stood up. "Nora, I'm going to use the restroom."

Nora nodded and watched her enter the small bathroom within the private dining room before she tugged on Baldwin's sleeve.

"Baldwin, come on. You're a man. Give a girl some slack, will you? Don't be so confrontational with Quinn. She's had a hard life, she lost her mother early on, and then her father at ten. The little fortune her dad left was taken by her greedy uncles.

"Most of the bad things you hear about her outside are spread by people who dislike her. You've acted in dramas about wealthy families. You should understand."

Upon hearing this and perhaps touched by the mention of her being an orphan, Baldwin's expression softened.

His agent patted his shoulder and suggested, "That's right, Baldwin. I'm counting on you to land a few big endorsements this year and bring us both some good opportunities."

Baldwin nodded, "Okay."

Nora smiled, feeling somewhat relieved.

The agent then received a call, likely from her child. She spoke tenderly for a few moments before hanging up. "I have to go. Baldwin, enjoy your meal with Miss Smith and Quinn. Remember to sign the contract."

Baldwin waved her off, "Get going."

With the agent gone, the room quieted down and Quinn returned from the bathroom shortly after. Her delicate face was flushed, chestnut waves of hair cascading down one side, her alluring figure stunning beneath the black bodycon dress.

Baldwin glanced at her and poured some wine into her glass.

"Quinn, I was out of line earlier. My apologies," he said.

Quinn hadn't expected Baldwin's change of attitude after she returned from the restroom.

Raising an eyebrow, she leaned back slightly, her interest piqued. "Baldwin, did Nora play peacemaker and have a word with you? Feeling guilty about making her lose face, so you decided to offer me an insincere apology?"

Baldwin held his glass, replying, "That's not the case. I'm sincere. You can take or leave this drink, but as for me, cheers," he said, and with that, he downed his drink.

Seeing his earnestness, Quinn's lips curled into a smirk as she straightened up and raised her glass.

"That's more like it. Cheers!" She said, and graciously drained her glass in one gulp.

Nora was amazed at how much Quinn could hold her liquor.

"Nora, don't just sit there. Drink up! I want to see how you perform surgery when you're drunk," Quinn teased, noticing Nora had been watching without drinking.

Nora was dumbfounded. "Quinn, stop joking around."

Baldwin looked at her in astonishment. "Nora, you perform surgery after drinking?"

Nora gave a sheepish smile. "That doesn't usually happen." She hardly ever got drunk, after all.

Quinn's eyes twinkled mischievously as she prodded further. "Nora, tell us how Ron came to know about this little habit of yours."

Nora found it somewhat amusing but explained it truthfully. "It was during a business trip I took with him." She briefly recounted the events of their trip to Bescosarst.

Quinn toyed with her glass as she listened attentively to Nora's story while casually glancing at Baldwin. She noticed his expression grow more solemn.

Then, deliberately stirring the pot, she asked, "Nora, have you and Ron been intimate?"

Nora's face heated up, and she met Quinn's sparkling gaze before swiftly changing the subject. "Quinn, I thought we were here to drink. Come on, let's toast."

Seeing Nora's discomfort, Quinn chuckled heartily.

"How cute is it to see Nora get shy? I never would've guessed how that arrogant, prideful Ron was brought to his knees by you. This is certainly a better outcome than him ending up with that phony Suzy."

Nora didn't respond. She just pressed her lips into a smile and clinked her glass with Quinn's.

Baldwin remained silent, simply taking a large swig of his drink.

Quinn, observing this, turned to Baldwin with a hint of mischief in her eyes. "Baldwin, why don't you share your first time? Who was the other person? Were they good-looking? When did it happen?"
Overwhelming Baldwin with her barrage of questions.

"Have you had too much to drink? Can you handle another round? If not, let's just call it quits!" He responded, hoping to divert the topic.

Quinn's words were cut short, and she let out a light snort of laughter, "So, you're planning to outdrink me? Come on, let's play a drinking game!"

She stood up, placing one high-heeled foot on a stool, and pretended to roll up non-existent sleeves, looking like a seasoned veteran.

Baldwin, probably having drunk too much, had lost his usual self-control, stood up, rolled up his shirt sleeves, and raised his voice. "Bring it on. You think I'm going to lose to you?"

"Don't talk big, Baldwin,” she taunted.

"I'll let my skills do the talking,” he boasted.

Then they started the drinking game.

Nora sat on the side, sipping her drink with a smile, thinking it would be necessary to record these two's antics and show them to Aaron later.

Although they hadn't hit it off well when they first met, things seemed to be improving now. Maybe they were starting to feel a comfortable connection while conversing more with one another.

"How about that, Baldwin? You can't beat me!" Quinn teased as they played.

Baldwin kept losing round after round, his gaze becoming blurry as he drank.

"Are you even a woman? How can you drink like that?" he slurred.

Quinn puffed out her chest proudly, "Are you blind? Can't you see these curves of mine?"

Not wanting to be outdone, Baldwin insisted, "Again!"

In the following rounds, he made a surprising comeback, winning more games than Quinn.

Baldwin laughed with satisfaction, "Am I useful or what?"

"Another round!" Quinn said, not wanting to give up.

Seeing that they both had plenty to drink, Nora quickly put her phone away and suggested, "Quinn, Baldwin, maybe you've had enough. How about we do something else?"

She couldn't possibly take care of them both if they ended up too drunk.

Quinn blinked her alluring eyes and smiled, "You're right. Drinking alone is boring. Let's stop and go have some fun outside!"

With that, she took each by the hand and led them out.

"Quinn," Nora asked as they headed out, "where are we going?"

"To have fun!" Quinn exclaimed.

She led them down to the club on the first floor. The dance floor was buzzing with activity while the music blared. People of all ages were dancing, letting loose and releasing the excess passion inside them. The seductive lights swept over the crowd from time to time, making everyone look almost ghostly.
