Chapter 429 Where Did He Offend Him?

After hearing Aaron's explanation, Nora's internal conflict eased slightly.

"I remember Harper telling me that Archer saved her life, and she wants to repay him by offering herself to him. And based on Archer's attitude towards Harper just now, he has feelings for her, too. Their feelings seem mutual, so they shouldn't blame us for taking matters into our own hands," Aaron explained.

"We're just helping them get together ahead of time. Stop thinking, and let's eat," Aaron said, serving Nora some food.

Nora nodded, also letting go of her worries, and resumed eating.

The newly opened hotel was doing well, with customers coming in to dine regularly.

Nora was replenishing Alex's soup when she heard someone calling her.

"Oh, Nora, what a coincidence! You guys are also eating here?" Olivia exclaimed.

Nora looked up, and her face paled when she saw who it was.

She actually ran into Olivia again.

This time, Olivia was accompanied by Arthur and another middle-aged woman.

The middle-aged woman was wearing a bright red woolen skirt, with blood-red lipstick on her mouth and fashionable curls. She was dressed very stylishly as if she were attending someone else's wedding.

She was walking arm in arm with Olivia, probably Olivia's mother, Elsa.

"Arthur," Nora said, not particularly fond of Olivia but still politely greeting Arthur.

"What a coincidence, Nora," Arthur replied with a smile, his gaze sweeping over several children and settling on Aaron's face.

"I assume this is Mr. Gordon," he said.

"Hello," Aaron replied, not bothering to ask who Arthur was. Seeing Nora's lukewarm attitude, he nodded at Arthur.

"Nora, why are you eating in the lobby?" Olivia asked, then coquettishly turned to Arthur and Elsa. "Uncle Arthur, Mommy, let's not meet by appointment. My sister and I have such a fate. This is already our second meeting today. How about we invite them to our private room to eat and chat?"

Upon hearing this, Arthur chuckled. "Sure, Mr. Gordon, Nora, we reserved a private room. Let's go, bring the children to eat in the room; it will be quieter."

"No need, we're almost done," Nora declined.

Olivia, however, would take advantage of this opportunity to spend time with Aaron. So, she warmly invited Nora, "Nora, don't be polite. We're all relatives. Let's eat together and have fun."

She looked at Billy, sitting next to her, and picked him up from the chair.

"Nora, are all of these your children? Let's go, my dear. Auntie Olivia will take you to the private room to eat." She wanted to show off in front of Aaron, so she deliberately targeted the children to show how loving she was.

Billy was quite a cunning little person. As soon as Olivia entered the room, her eyes were fixed on Aaron, who could see what was happening.

'This overdressed aunt is interested in Uncle Gordon! Trying to steal my Mommy's man, she's really overestimating herself!' Billy thought to himself, so when Olivia picked him up, he deliberately pretended to knock over a bowl of soup accidentally.

The soup splashed all over Olivia, and Billy even intentionally pinched her arm. Olivia felt pain and embarrassment, unable to help but scream. She took two steps back, staring angrily at Billy.

"You...!" Olivia began to speak.

"Auntie Olivia, don't hit me, I didn't mean to!" Billy pretended to be scared, covering his head with both hands, his eyes welling up with tears.

He even purposely raised his voice. The surrounding diners were confused and thought that Billy had accidentally dirtied Olivia's clothes and that Olivia was being unreasonable and wanted to hit someone. Some kind-hearted customers approached to persuade her.

"This lady, he's just a kid. Don't argue with a child," a guest said.

"Yeah, he just dirtied your clothes. A dry cleaner will fix it," someone replied.

"Exactly, he's such a cute kid. How could you raise your hand against him?" another person chimed in.

Olivia's face changed color from being embarrassed.

"When did I want to hit him? You guys don't know anything! Go away, all of you, stop crowding around me!" she exclaimed, her voice sharp with anger.

Because of her anger, her voice became shrill, and her face showed frustration.

There was not a hint of innocence or romance left.

Billy suppressed the smile that threatened to emerge, trying to appear as pitiful as possible.

"Auntie Olivia, I apologize to you. If you want to scold someone, scold me. Don't scold that kind, Sir and Madman," he pleaded.

"I...you..." Olivia widened her eyes, almost exploding with rage.

Was this brat trained to perform since primary school?

How could he act so well?

Millie, who was sitting nearby, had a naive mindset and actually thought that Olivia was bullying Billy, so she slipped off her seat and confronted her.

With her hands on her hips, she shouted, "Why did you hug Billy as soon as you arrived? Are you a child trafficker? If you don't leave, I'll call the police to arrest you!"

It was almost the end of the semester, and the kindergarten was about to go on vacation.

Because the holiday season was a peak period for accidents and incidents, the school's teachers had been instilling a sense of caution in the children.

They even had the kindergarten staff pretend to be child traffickers and explain how they would snatch children.

Millie only felt that Olivia's smiling face was the same as the trafficker's, so she angrily spoke up.

Olivia's eyes widened, furious beyond words.

The people around her looked at her with strange expressions.

Arthur didn't expect Olivia's good intentions to backfire and become a laughingstock.

He quickly said to the onlookers, "It's all a misunderstanding. We all know each other, so let's disperse."

The people around them continued to whisper but seeing that Billy was fine and Nora and Aaron were sitting still, they didn't get involved anymore.

Olivia looked down at her stained clothes and then glanced at Aaron, who was calmly eating. Her face turned extremely ugly.

She looked at Arthur and called for help, "Uncle Arthur."

Arthur's face didn't look good either.

"Okay, since Nora doesn't want to have dinner with us, let's not force it. Let's go; we'll go inside and eat first." Arthur remarked.

Nora tried to suppress a smile. "Arthur, I'm sorry. My son isn't sensible and dirty Olivia's clothes. Olivia, why don't you take off your clothes, and I'll have them dry-cleaned?" she suggested.

"No need; it's just a small matter. Let's go to the private room first." Arthur refused and glanced coldly at Billy, who was leading Elsa and her daughter into the private room. He wasn't stupid and could tell that Billy had done it on purpose.

That little brat, why would he do such a thing?

As soon as they entered the room, Olivia exploded, "That wretched child, just like his mother! He pinched me just now—I wanted to throttle him!"

Elsa, who had remained silent until then, finally spoke up. "That child intentionally spilled soup on you."

Olivia, in the midst of wiping the stains off her clothes with tissues, furrowed her brow at this revelation. "He did it on purpose? Why would he deliberately spill soup on me? Did I unknowingly offend him?"
