Chapter 698 My Aaron is a Gentleman
"Ms. Margaret, please have some self-respect."
Aaron dodged Margaret's hand, his expression stern.
Margaret stared blankly at Aaron, feeling that the aura of this Aaron was completely different from the fake Aaron she knew before.
The fake Aaron she had slept with did have the same face as him, but the fake one's demeanor had a hint of wickedness and sleaziness.
At this moment, however, Aaron was dignified and aloof, like a pine tree in winter, commanding respect for no apparent reason.
Margaret's face turned pale bit by bit, her eyes filled with disbelief.
They had just said that the man she slept with wasn't the real Aaron but Aaron's cousin, Jackson.
What on earth was going on?
She had been deceived!
"Aaron, wait a minute."
Nora got up from the sofa and walked over to Aaron.
Aaron looked down at her gently. "What's up?"
Nora glanced at Margaret and said, "Since Margaret is so persistent, why not take her to see Jackson? Sometimes, people won't give up until they see the truth."
Aaron's gaze swept over the stunned Margaret, and he nodded, putting his arm around Nora's shoulder. "Let's go."
Nora said goodbye to Emma and Sandy, then left with Aaron.
Outside, she saw Margaret's Maserati and blinked.
That car was bought with Aaron's money.
Should she ask Margaret to return the car?
Aaron and Nora got into Frederick's car while Margaret drove the Maserati to the police station.
When they arrived, Johnnie was already waiting for them.
Because they had informed the police station in advance, Margaret was allowed to meet Jackson first.
Aaron and Nora waited in the reception room.
Margaret swallowed nervously.
A police officer led her to a visitation room, and she took a deep breath before pushing the door open.
Through the iron bars, she saw Jackson, who looked exactly like Aaron.
Margaret stared blankly at Jackson, unable to think.
If Margaret hadn't come with Aaron and Nora, she would have thought she was seeing a ghost.
It turned out Aaron and Nora hadn't lied to her.
The Aaron she had been sleeping with was indeed a fake!
Margaret's last bit of fantasy shattered.
She had been played by this despicable Jackson!
"What are you doing here? Get out!"
Jackson's face darkened when he saw Margaret, and he immediately told her to leave.
Jackson still didn't understand how he had been exposed.
Thinking about the news, Jackson felt it was likely that the news had given something away.
And the culprit was Margaret!
Margaret stared at Jackson, her chest heaving. "You're not Aaron; you're Aaron's cousin, Jackson Gordon, right?"
Jackson Gordon's face darkened as he asked, "How did you know? Who brought you here?"
Margaret was angry. "You're really not Aaron, you liar! Why did you impersonate Aaron and deceive me?"
Margaret's voice was loud, and the police officer outside knocked on the door, saying sternly, "Keep your voice down!"
Margaret clenched her fists, staring intently at Jackson, her eyes filling with tears.
Jackson sneered, leaning back slightly, his tone dismissive.
"Did I deceive you? Margaret, don't make yourself sound so innocent. If you weren't so greedy, always looking for shortcuts, I wouldn't have been able to fool you. Besides, I was so skilled, you enjoyed it too."
"You!"
"And Margaret, you should be grateful that I had so many men train you, and now your skills in bed are top-notch. Even if you lose your job, you can still make a fortune with your talents!"
Jackson leaned in a bit, a wicked smile on his face, spewing vile words.
Margaret was trembling with rage.
Recalling those unbearable memories, Margaret suddenly stood up, reached through the bars, grabbed Jackson's hair, and started hitting him furiously.
"I'll kill you, you scumbag liar! You ruined my life, and I curse you to a horrible death!"
Margaret was filled with hatred, hitting, scratching, and clawing at Jackson.
Caught off guard, Jackson's face and neck were soon covered in scratches.
He roared, "You wretched woman, are you asking for death?"
Hearing the commotion, the police officers rushed in.
"Stop, both of you!"
Margaret, tears in her eyes, still held a clump of Jackson's hair she had pulled out, wishing she could kill him.
The officers didn't let her stay any longer and took her out.
In the reception room, Nora saw the disheveled Margaret come out and shook her head slightly.
After seeing Jackson, Margaret should give up now.
"Honey, wait here. I'll be right back," Aaron said softly to Nora.
Nora nodded. After Aaron left, she looked at Margaret. "You saw it. Do you believe me now?"
Margaret, still in a daze, slowly turned to look at Nora upon hearing her voice.
"He was an imposter. You knew all along, right?"
Nora thought for a moment. "Yes and no. Before you slept with him, I wasn't sure. But after you did, I was certain he wasn't my fiancé. Because my Aaron is a gentleman and would never toy with women."
Margaret stared at Nora. "Are you trying to tell me that my judgment isn't as good as yours?"
Nora's gaze was clear as she looked back at Margaret.
"It's not that your judgment isn't as good as mine, but that you're too greedy. A little carelessness can lead to trouble."
Margaret's chest heaved with agitation. "No, I'm not greedy. I just want a better life. Is that so wrong?"
Nora replied, "Wanting a better life isn't wrong, but you have to work for it yourself, not covet what doesn't belong to you."
"What do you mean by covet? Aaron wasn't married to you. Before marriage, he was an independent individual. Is it wrong for me to pursue happiness?"
Margaret glared at Nora. "I heard Aaron had a girlfriend before. I don't believe you didn't think about replacing her to become the future Mrs. Gordon when you met him."
Hearing this, Nora smiled. "I never thought about becoming Mrs. Gordon. It was always him who persistently pursued me."
Nora was calm and composed, exuding a queenly aura.
Margaret's face turned , and she shouted, "What are you bragging about? Men think with their bodies. Aaron may love and pamper you now, but who knows if he'll get entangled with another woman the next moment. And women age faster than men. When you grow old and lose your looks, Aaron will eventually dump you!"
