Chapter 346 All Sorts of Playboys
At that moment, a male voice came from not too far away.
"Mr. Gordon, we meet again."
Nora looked over and recognized the person as the Turner family's young master.
"What a coincidence," Aaron said, nodding slightly towards the younger Turner.
Fabio's smile was almost devilish, "It is quite a coincidence. I didn't expect to find Mr. Gordon here enjoying a B.Love performance. Are you a fan of the band's lead singer, Anna Scott, like me?"
Aaron was left speechless. ‘A fan of Anna Scott?’ he disgusted by the thought.
Anna Scott was currently the main culprit behind the troubles with his relationship with Nora!
Aaron glanced at Nora and wrapped his arm around her slim waist. He said, "No, I'm just here with my girlfriend to watch the show."
Nora was irritated inside and felt like snapping back, 'Who's your girlfriend?'
But she managed to suppress the frustration swirling within and saved Aaron's face.
She simply pinched his hand hard with her right hand, signaling for him to let go.
Aaron pretended not to feel the pinch and tightened his embrace instead.
Nora controlled her anger, allowing him to hold her while she turned to Fabio. "So, it seems young Mr. Turner is quite fond of B.Love's lead singer Anna Scott? Is she your girlfriend?" she asked, indifferently.
Hearing this, Fabio laughed, "Although I admire Anna Scott's talent, she is not my girlfriend."
Nora didn’t buy it, "But I remember a month ago, you and Anna Scott were seen together at the Heaton Club."
Fabio thought for a moment, then smiled, "Don't read too much into it. Anna Scott and her band had just returned to the country, and I was discussing a potential collaboration with her."
‘Discussing a collaboration late at night in a hotel?’ Nora pressed her lips together, not saying anything.
Considering Edric's actions, she didn't want to assume that Fabio was carefree, but still, she couldn't help criticizing him in her mind. ‘You can't trust a man's word. They're all playboys! Always looking for the next best thing while enjoying what they already have!’ she thought.
Right then, her phone rang. It was a call from Evella Remington. Nora figured Evella was probably worried about not finding her.
"Excuse me, I need to take this call." She excused herself to Fabio, then shot a cold look at Aaron, signaling him to release her.
Aaron, of course, couldn't keep holding on to her any longer.
Nora stepped aside to answer the call, while Aaron coldly said to Edric, "You really are a great brother."
Dropping a monkey wrench into the sweet days he and Nora were supposed to be enjoying together. Aaron really wanted to knock him into the next week!
Edric put on an innocent face, "How was I supposed to know Doctor Smith had such wild ideas!"
Aaron narrowed his eyes slightly, "Is there really nothing going on between you and Anna Scott?"
Edric was speechless, "I swear, it's the honest truth. I just came to ask Anna Scott for a favor. Aaron, we've known each other for so long, don't you know me by now? If I like someone, I like them; if I don't, I don't. I've moved on from Anna Scott a long time ago."
If he hadn't moved on, he wouldn't be dating Jenny, let alone meeting Anna Scott. Because he had moved on, he saw Anna Scott as just a friend. What was wrong with meeting a friend to ask for help?
Aaron looked at Edric's troubled face, and of course, he knew what kind of man his friend was. But Nora already had a deep misunderstanding about Edric. He just hoped it wouldn't affect him!
"I assume you're the famous Edric from Houston!" Fabio chimed in from the side.
Edric reached out his hand, "I'm Edric."
"I'm Fabio." After shaking hands with him, Fabio asked curiously, "You were just talking about Anna Scott, did something happen?"
Edric moved his lips, about to explain, but then his phone rang. Seeing it was Jenny calling, he tensed up, "I need to take this call, you guys chat first without me."
Aaron watched him walk away, his lips pressing together slightly. Seeing Fabio's inquisitive look, Aaron began to explain.
"It's just a misunderstanding. Edric and Anna Scott were high school sweethearts, and my girlfriend's best friend is now dating Edric. So, my girlfriend might think that Edric is cheating."
‘I see.’ Fabio raised an eyebrow, "It should be fine once you explain it."
"It's the explanation part I'm worried about," Aaron said. Considering how angry the little lady looked now, she was probably convinced that Edric was messing around behind Jenny's back, right?
Fabio chuckled, changing the subject, "By the way, did you guys have a conflict with my big brother today?"
Aaron raised an eyebrow, "You heard about that?"
"Yeah, who would have thought your girlfriend's child is a prodigy, my brother was livid!" Fabio's smile was wide.
Aaron smirked, "Your brother probably sees me as the enemy now."
Fabio glanced at him, patting his shoulder meaningfully.
"Weren't you already playing sides from the get-go? We're like those cunning old foxes, no need for pretenses," Aaron said with a light chuckle, his understatement saying it all.
The Turner brothers were not full siblings.
Fabio's mother was a singer who performed regular gigs at a local bar when the patriarch of the Turner family took a fancy to her and took her by force.
Later, when she found out she was pregnant, she escaped the patriarch's watchful eye and secretly returned to her hometown to give birth to Fabio and raise him herself.
However, when Fabio was ten, the patriarch discovered his existence and, despite opposition from mother and child, forcibly took Fabio back to the Turner household.
Fabio's mother eventually fell into a deep depression and passed away.
Leaving Fabio to slowly grow up in the Turner's tumultuous home.
His status was unstable, naturally making him the target of resentment from his stepmother.
He suffered quite a bit in his younger days.
Luckily, he learned to conceal his sharp edges and pretended to be a prodigal son, which made his stepmother and the older Turner heir lower their guard.
"But my older brother is ruthless, Mr. Gordon, you should be careful and take good care of your girlfriend and her children," Fabio warned.
Aaron's cool gaze returned, "I understand."
"Of course, I'll also keep an eye on my brother's movements and will inform you promptly if there's any hint of trouble," Fabio assured.
"Thanks, I appreciate it. If there's ever anything I can do to help you, just say the word," Aaron offered.
Fabio replied, "Will do."
The two men silently reached an understanding.
"Young Master Turner, my friends are waiting for me inside, so I'll head in first," Nora said, she had been standing at a distance, approached Fabio after seeing the two men had finished talking.
"Sounds good, let's go," Fabio gestured welcomingly.
Nora gave a slight nod and turned toward the ticket checkpoint, her eyes avoiding Aaron completely.
She was still mad at him!
Aaron rubbed his brow then strode quickly to catch up with her, slipping his arm around her waist. "Nora, slow down a bit,” he said.
Nora's pretty face was cool, and she grumbled, "Let go!"
If it hadn't been for the three children still inside, she would have loved to just turn around and walk away.
"Don't make a scene; you wouldn't want to be the butt of the joke in front of everyone at the Turner family concert, would you?" Aaron whispered in her ear with a teasing smile.
Nora shot him a glare but said nothing more, checked their tickets, and they entered the venue.
