Chapter 104 I'm Not a Pushover

In the video, Finn entered Gayle's room at night and didn't emerge until the morning, following close behind Gayle.
Their intimate behavior resembled a couple on vacation.

Nora smiled and showed the video to Aaron, who sat beside her.

Aaron's eyebrows shot up. "Good, I'll take it from here."

Nora, surprised, asked, "What are you going to do? Aren't you going to show this video to Gayle's wife?"

A cold smirk appeared on Aaron's lips. "No need to rush."
Now that he had something on Gayle, it was time to get some useful information out of him!

In another suite.
Gayle sat on the sofa, his face grim.

"Wasn't everything supposed to be arranged? How could there be a mistake?"
Instead of turning Nora and Amelia against each other, it had somehow made the Smiths think even more highly of her!

"Mr. Gayle," sighed Finn, sitting beside him, "if we had known, we should have just knocked that woman out and then delivered her straight to Smith's bed."

Gayle's expression darkened. "What's the use of talking about that now? We need to figure out how to get Smith to choose to partner with us, and it needs to be fast."

Finn leaned into him. "Then why don't we drug Smith again? I climb into his bed, and we take photos to force his hand?"

Hearing this, Gayle lifted her chin and kissed her lightly. "I should have sent you to his room from the start."
With Smith's indiscretion in hand, he would surely have conceded.
Regrettably, at that time, his sole focus was to teach Nora a lesson. He thought that if he could orchestrate an encounter between Nora and Smith, he could kill two birds with one stone.

Unfortunately for him, his scheme didn't go as planned.

"Mr. Gayle, can you really bear to hand me over to someone else?" Finn pouted, voicing his injured feelings.

Gayle's hand slid up her thigh. "Don't worry, you'll always be my favorite."

As he spoke, he pressed her down and was about to kiss her.

Just then, his phone rang.

He paused, pulled out his phone, and glanced at the screen, then sat up straight.

Why would Aaron be calling him?

He answered, "Mr. Gordon, what can I do for you?"

"Mr. Gayle, please come to my room; we need to have a talk."

Aaron wanted to have a chat.

He figured he might as well hear what Aaron had to say.

Gayle told Finn to wait for him there before he went to Aaron's room.

Upon entering, Gayle looked at Aaron, who was seated in his wheelchair, and took a seat on the sofa before asking directly, "Mr. Gordon, what is it that you want to talk about?"

Aaron's lips curled slightly. "Mr. Gayle, cunning in business is normal, but stooping to despicable tactics is unacceptable, wouldn't you agree?"

Gayle glanced at him. "What are you implying?"

"Was the horse that went berserk at the track your doing?" Aaron's gaze was icy.

Gayle's eyes flickered. "Mr. Gordon, what kind of joke is this?"

This was his turf, and even if Aaron had suspicions, he didn't have proof.

"And about what happened just now? Who put the narcotic scent in room 308? Are you planning to frame someone on my team again?" Aaron's voice was cold.

Gayle leaned back, a smug smile on his face. "Mr. Gordon, you mustn't make baseless accusations. If you have evidence, then produce it. Otherwise, such talk is not conducive to our relationship."

Aaron's gaze was dark. He pulled out his phone and played a video.

"I may not have hard evidence, but take a look at this."

Gayle suspiciously took the phone, and his expression turned at the sight of himself with Finn on the screen.

Because this was his domain, he wasn't afraid of Aaron.

And thus, he had played his games without restraint.

But it never occurred to him that Aaron would have a surveillance video.

"Where did you get this video?"

What about the hotel security personnel?

How did Aaron access the surveillance without anyone informing him?

Gayle was visibly infuriated, quickly deleting the video.

With a scoff, Aaron said, "Mr. Gayle, do you think this is the only video I have?"
Gayle choked, feigning composure. "What does this surveillance footage prove? Finn is an employee of mine; we were merely discussing work matters."

"Discussing work all night long?" Aaron's voice dripped with mockery.

Angered, Gayle retorted, "What are you implying, Aaron?"

Aaron met his gaze. "Mr. Gayle, I recall you built your fortune with Sophia's support. If you don't want your wife to find out about this, then tell me—who leaked our company's confidential bid to you?"

He seized the opportunity to figure out who the mole was within the company during this business deal.

Gayle's eyes flickered, yet he did not relent. "Mr. Gordon, as I said, Finn and I were discussing business. Even if you send that video to my wife, she'll understand."

"Will she? Fine, Nora, send the video on your phone to Sophia now."

Without further ado, Aaron turned to Nora, who had been all ears, eager to see how the standoff between Aaron and Gayle would pan out. Upon hearing the order, she reached for her phone, pretending to send a message.

In truth, she didn't even have Sophia's phone number.

Aaron was just bluffing!

"Wait!"

Gayle's complexion shifted as he interjected promptly.

Nora couldn't help but internally chuckle as she glanced up at him, observing his grim expression.

"Will you delete the video if I tell you?"

"Yes," Aaron responded, the image of calm.

Gayle paused, waging an internal battle before revealing. "I paid Caleb a hefty commission. He was the one who disclosed the confidential bid to me."

Just as he had suspected.

His own uncle, Caleb, had undermined the company’s interest for his personal gain, attempting to oust Aaron from power.

Aaron's expression turned stern, his lips forming a sharp contour.

"You can leave now."

Gayle glared at him. "I've told you what you wanted to know. Now get your people to delete that video."

Aaron's smile had a cold edge. "Don't worry, I won't send the video to your wife. Nora, delete the footage."

Was she really supposed to delete the video?

Nora blinked, looking inquisitively at Aaron.

"Why aren't you doing it? Mr. Gordon told you to delete the video!" Gayle pressed impatiently.

Aaron glanced at Nora, offering a reassuring look.

Without a word, Nora deleted the video.

Relieved, Gayle got up and left with a snort, storming out.

Once the door closed, Nora queried, "Thomas, are we really just going to let him off the hook?"

Aaron's lips curved slightly, "Do I seem that easy-going to you?"
He said he wouldn't send the video to Sophia, but that didn't mean he couldn't send it elsewhere.
Seeing it herself, that had nothing to do with him!
Aaron dialed Noe's number. "Noe, upload that video to Godric Group's official website!"
Once it hits the official website, it becomes the scandal of the Godric Group.
With the group embroiled in scandal, would Smith still sign a contract with him?
