Chapter 497 I'm Sorry, Uncle Aaron

Sandy reminded her, "You actually said that I intentionally slandered you!"

Suzy glared at Sandy but couldn't say those words.

Sandy was usually gentle and always spoke politely. Suzy had never seen this side of her, so articulate and sharp-tongued.

Suddenly, a phrase popped into her mind, 'Don't judge a book by its cover!'

At that moment, Kenneth pushed the door open, followed by several caregivers who were here to take Emma for a brain CT scan.

Sensing the tense atmosphere in the ward, Kenneth naturally embraced Sandy and asked, "Are you okay?"

Sandy smiled and said, "I'm fine."

Seeing her calm expression, Kenneth felt a bit relieved.

He looked at Suzy, his eyes no longer carrying the gentle gaze of an older brother toward his younger sister, advising, "You should go back. Sandy and I will stay here."

Suzy saw that Emma had woken up but had lost her memory and was not interested in pretending to be a caring daughter. Now that the crisis had been averted, she relaxed and could go back and get a good night's sleep.

However, when she glanced at Kenneth and Sandy, who were leaning against each other, dissatisfaction appeared in her eyes.

"Kenneth, even if you don't like me, I still have to tell you that this woman is terrible. If she stays by your side, she will bring you misfortune sooner or later," Since they had already completely fallen out, she was more than willing to make things worse.

After speaking, she arrogantly left in her high heels. Kenneth's expression turned serious as he looked at Sandy, who had lowered her gaze, seemingly lost in thought.

He gently lifted her chin with his slender fingers, asking, "What are you thinking?"

Kenneth's gaze was deep, his voice gentle, and Sandy's eyes welled up with tears inexplicably. She wanted to say something, but Kenneth placed his index finger on her lips.

"Sandy, do you remember what I told you? If you dare say that you're a jinx or anything that will harm us, I will be angry," he insisted.

Kenneth deliberately put on a displeased look, and tears flashed in Sandy's eyes. She lowered his hand and whispered, "I didn't mean to say those things. I'm not a jinx anymore, especially now that Mom has woken up, right?"

She still had some self-doubt, but with such a good husband, she should embrace life with a smile and break free from self-pity.

"Indeed, with me by your side, I will bring you good luck," Kenneth held her waist tightly and assured her.

Sandy felt happy as she hugged Kenneth, feeling her heart beating because of him.

Nora was almost finished when she received a call from Sandy at the cafe.

Nora said, "Aaron, my Mom has woken up, but there's a little trouble. I have to go back to the hospital right away."

"She woke up so soon? Let me take you there," Aaron said.

"No need, you just take the children back. I can have Frederick drive me there," Nora replied.

Aaron wanted to take her to the hospital personally, but when he saw Matthew looking at him, he changed his mind.

"All right, you go ahead. I'll take the children home and wait for you," Aaron said, glancing at Matthew and smiling slightly.

Aaron was showing off, indicating that he was Nora's strong support. Aaron expressed that he would take care of the family while Nora would handle things outside. They cooperated seamlessly, and Matthew had no way to intervene.

"Mr. Jones, will you take Erin directly back to the hotel later?" Nora remembered to say goodbye to Matthew before leaving.

Matthew snapped back to reality and replied, "Yes."

Nora said with concern, "Take care, let's keep in touch."

She still needed to talk to him about his condition. Moreover, she was curious about where the toxins in his body came from.

"All right, goodbye," Matthew replied.

Aaron narrowed his eyes, displeased, thinking, 'Why does Nora need to contact him again? What do they have to talk about?'

"I have to go," Nora said and picked up Millie from the table and prepared to leave.

Erin slid off her chair and ran to Nora's side, tightly holding her hand as if not wanting her to leave.

Nora lovingly patted her little head and said softly, "Erin, I have to go. Go back with Daddy and rest, okay?"

Erin didn't speak, but her small hand held onto Nora's even tighter.

Nora looked at the adorable Erin and felt pity, wondering, 'how Matthew would take care of her. Erin should have other family members, like her grandparents.'

But if she lost her parents' company, her childhood would definitely be lacking something.

Nora sighed softly and said, "Erin, if you miss me, you can call me. I want to hear your very nice voice."

Since calling out for Alex, Erin had been silent, but that was already good enough.

They couldn't rush things like this; they had to guide Erin step by step. Nora praised Erin's beautiful voice, making Erin's ears turn slightly red with shyness. She held onto Nora's hand, not wanting her to leave.

Nora urged, "Erin, I have something to do. Let your Dad hold you."

Matthew picked up Erin and helped Nora out of the situation in a timely manner.

Nora smiled at him and then left the room.

Aaron furrowed his brow, not liking the interaction between her and Matthew. But in front of the children, he maintained his composure and didn't say much.

Instead, he took the four kids out of the room to settle the bill, planning to discuss the matter with Nora later when night fell.

Matthew held Erin in his arms, with Alex walking beside him. Alex looked at them, and his gaze fell on Erin's small hand.

The hacker's profile picture flashed in his mind subconsciously, and he subconsciously compared the two and felt that they were similar.

So, when he got home, Alex immediately opened his computer and checked the picture.

The picture showed a large hand holding a small one; the man's hand is strong, while the child's hand is small and cute, with a mole on the little finger.

Alex pursed his lips, feeling even more that these two hands were similar to Matthew and Erin's hands.

Thinking back to when he had let Nora pretend to be a hacker to avoid exposing his identity, Alex realized something.

Suspicion surged in his mind, 'Could it be that Matthew we encountered is the hacker who competed with me? If that's the case, then I've unintentionally attracted an admirer for Mommy!'

Alex swallowed and felt a bit awkward. If things were really like that, he would feel very sorry for Aaron! Alex quickly opened the chat box and typed a line.

Babe: [Hello?]

He didn't get a reply. Alex looked at the hacker's profile picture and started searching for his IP address without giving up.

But he was a top-notch hacker, so there was no way he would expose his IP address. Alex couldn't find any information about him. Alex felt dejected and sat on the chair, staring blankly at the screen.

He hesitated and pondered, 'Should I confess to Uncle Aaron? Well, I'll wait and see how things develop before making a decision. It's useless to confess to Uncle Aaron now, even if I do it!'

He had already attracted Matthew, so he could only be more vigilant and help Aaron guard against Matthew!
