Chapter 558 A Rare Man
"I suppose this is Ms. Hamilton." Blaze, in his forties, smiled politely.
"Nora, this is Mayor Blaze Perkins." Aaron introduced Blaze to Nora and then several accompanying personnel.
"Hello, everyone," Nora greeted the people around her quickly.
The villagers gathered around, watching the scene with joy in their eyes.
Zephyr was also among the crowd. Seeing Sandy's joyful expression at the moment, he felt somewhat disheartened.
Nora and Aaron brought so many resources here, all because of Sandy, which clearly demonstrated the importance the Hamilton family placed on her.
And Sandy was a kind person. She would surely remember the kindness shown to her by others.
So, after she gave birth, she might really be moved by the warmth of the Hamilton family and left here.
He could tell that Nora was a determined girl.
Whatever she wanted to do, she would surely accomplish it.
And she would definitely make every effort to reconcile Kenneth and Sandy.
Would Sandy be able to resist her perseverance?
He was worried.
After exchanging greetings with a few people here, Blaze took Aaron to visit the area.
Nora joined the medical team with Sandy, starting to provide home services to various families.
They went to Juliet's house.
The two maids responsible for taking care of Sandy started working.
So, without Sandy having to lift a finger, they took good care of Juliet as well.
Juliet was surprised and could only ask Sandy quietly, "Dr. Hernandez, you're actually from a wealthy family, aren't you? I shouldn't have let you help me with the laundry."
Sandy smiled and didn't explain much.
If Juliet knew she was the reincarnation of Jinx, who almost killed her husband, who knew what she would think?
She caught a glimpse and saw Zephyr standing quietly by the door.
There was a hint of loneliness in his figure.
Sandy quickly averted her gaze.
She really wanted Zephyr to go back with Nora, but she also knew that Zephyr wouldn't leave.
She had no choice but to ignore him until he couldn't bear it and left on his own.
At that moment, Landon rushed in and said, "Dr. Wright, Dr. Hernandez, hurry here! Someone is in danger."
Zephyr was taken aback, asking, "What happened?"
"Someone on the beach is in critical condition." Landon wasn't sure of the specifics, so he grabbed Zephyr and ran outside.
Sandy also wanted to go out, but Nora quickly said, "Sandy, don't go. I'll go check it out."
"Alright." Sandy nodded, not insisting.
With Nora there, she knew she couldn't be of much help.
Nora left Juliet's house and saw Aaron and Blaze approaching.
"Nora, where are you going?" Aaron asked, curious.
"I'm going to the beach."
"What's going on?"
"I'll tell you when we get there."
"I'll come with you," Aaron said.
After exchanging greetings with Aaron and Blaze, Aaron went to the beach with Nora.
Ahead, Zephyr and Landon ran fast. They soon saw the person lying on the beach.
The person lay motionless with closed eyes.
Zephyr squatted down to take a look.
The person was dressed in black, eyes tightly shut. Although her hair was short, her features were attractive, indicating she was a woman.
Zephyr checked her pulse and frowned.
Her breathing was very weak, possibly from drowning.
Zephyr took off his coat and had Landon hold it for him, then began performing CPR on her.
He performed CPR and artificial respiration at the same time.
Nora and Aaron came over and, seeing Zephyr administering aid, stood quietly to the side without disturbing him.
Zephyr performed CPR for about ten minutes, and the woman on the ground finally coughed up water and started breathing.
He was sweating profusely, and when the woman woke up and took a deep breath, he leaned over to check on her again, but she suddenly raised her hand and slapped him.
Zephyr's face was turned by the slap, leaving him stunned.
Although the woman was weak and lacked strength, that slap was insulting.
Zephyr said, "I saved you, but you slapped me. What's going on here?"
"Get off." The woman's voice was weak and hoarse as she slowly looked at his hand.
Zephyr was taken aback and looked down, only then realizing that his hand was still on her chest.
He thought, 'Am I mistaken for a pervert?'
Zephyr coughed lightly and quickly withdrew his hand, saying, "Let me clarify. I was just saving you, not doing anything inappropriate."
The woman glanced at him, her eyes filled with intense hostility despite her weakness.
He could bet that if she hadn't just been saved, this woman would have dealt him a deadly blow.
'Who exactly is she?' he thought.
Nora watched from the side, quickly walked over, and helped the woman up.
"I can vouch for him. He's a good doctor. If it weren't for him just now, you would probably be dead," Nora said with a smile.
The woman glanced at Nora but remained silent, her eyes filled with caution.
Nora noticed this and smiled, saying, "I'm a doctor too. Let me have a check."
The woman instinctively struggled a bit, but due to her weakness, she didn't succeed and remained silent.
Nora focused on examining her injuries and furrowed her brow, saying, "You have injuries on your body."
And they were gunshot wounds!
The woman looked around weakly and asked, "Where am I?"
"This is a fishing village near the beach," Nora replied, "You need to undergo surgery immediately."
The bullet inside her must be removed as soon as possible.
Nora wanted to help her up, but the woman winced at the slight movement, her face turning pale.
Zephyr stood aside and couldn't help but ask, "Dr. Hamilton, where is she injured? How severe is it?"
"She was shot." Nora didn't hide it from him either.
Zephyr looked at the woman in surprise.
The woman's face was pale, and she seemed to be enduring intense pain in her body.
Aaron had intended to help her up, but after seeing Zephyr standing nearby, he changed his mind.
"Dr. Wright, could you carry her?" Aaron asked.
"Me?" Zephyr was taken aback.
Aaron said, "Do you want Nora, a girl, to carry her?"
Zephyr looked at him and blurted out, "Why don't you carry her?"
"Because I'm not a doctor," Aaron replied.
Zephyr was speechless.
He thought, 'So, this is his excuse?'
As a doctor, he shouldn't be doing physical labor like this.
"Hurry up. She looks like she's about to collapse," Aaron urged.
Zephyr glanced at the woman and said, "I'm afraid she'll slap me again."
The woman heard this and raised her eyes to look at him.
She wanted to say something, but before she could, she passed out again.
"She's fainted again, we need to operate immediately," Nora said.
