Chapter 805 Didn't You Think I'm Too Bad
"Congratulations, it's a boy!"
The nurse smiled as she brought the baby over to share the good news.
Nora breathed a sigh of relief.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead, first looking at the tightly closed eyes and constantly moving little mouth of Otis Hamilton, then at the exhausted Sandy, saying with a smile, "Sandy, you've had a son."
Sandy, drenched in sweat, barely opened her eyes, glanced at the dirty, blood-covered Otis, and smiled softly. "So ugly, not handsome like his dad at all."
Nora couldn't help but laugh. "Sandy, I'll remember this. When the baby grows up, I'll definitely tell him that his mom thought he was ugly the moment he was born."
Sandy chuckled lightly and closed her eyes again from exhaustion.
Nora said, "Sandy, you rest for a bit. I'll go out and share the good news with my brother."
Sandy nodded lightly with her eyes closed.
Nora left the delivery room to share the good news.
At this moment, Kenneth and Aaron were standing in the hallway.
Aaron had returned to Lindwood City yesterday to handle some matters and had been accompanying Kenneth here ever since.
Ebenezer, Emma, and Xavier had stayed until night before Kenneth sent them home to rest.
Howard had surgery this morning, so Kenneth sent him home as well.
Kenneth had already heard Otis's cries and was visibly excited.
Seeing Nora come out, he quickly approached her. "Nora, did Sandy give birth?"
"Yes, she did. It's a boy, and both mother and child are safe," Nora said with a smile.
Kenneth's eyes reddened with excitement. "She must have had a hard time. Is she being moved to the ward now? Can I go see her?"
"Go ahead."
"Alright, Nora, thank you. I'll go see Sandy first."
Kenneth, unable to contain his excitement, thanked Nora and hurried to the ward.
The hallway was now just Nora and Aaron.
Aaron tidied Nora's hair, noticing the fatigue in her eyes, and a hint of tenderness flashed in his eyes.
"Honey, you must be exhausted."
Sandy had been in labor for over ten hours, and Nora had been with her the whole time.
"I'm okay. Wait for me; I'll go change my clothes," Nora said with a smile.
Though tired, Nora was quite excited.
After all, having a new child in the family was a joyous occasion.
Nora went to change her clothes and then checked her phone.
She saw several missed calls and unread messages.
She went through them one by one and found they were from Jenny and Betsy.
Jenny was sharing good news, saying she had dealt with Fiona.
Fiona had realized her mistake and apologized to Jenny.
Jenny had sent countless heart emojis afterward, clearly very excited.
Nora smiled, feeling happy for Jenny.
She hoped Jenny and Edric would live a loving and harmonious life without any more conflicts.
Nora then read Betsy's message.
Betsy was asking for Nora's permission to leave.
Nora thought for a moment and replied.
Nora: [OK]
She then transferred the promised money to Betsy.
Since Fiona had realized her mistake, there was no need for Betsy to stay.
Betsy: [Thank you, Dr. Smith.]
Nora: [Live well and don't show up in Youston again.]
To avoid Betsy being targeted by a bunch of old men.
However, with Betsy suddenly disappearing, the old men in Youston would surely feel a sense of loss.
Nora put away her phone, not wanting to disturb Jenny with a message early in the morning.
She walked to the hallway and, seeing Aaron standing tall and handsome, felt a wave of softness in her heart.
She walked over and hugged Aaron's waist, nuzzling against his chest with a look of dependence.
Aaron's eyes were full of tenderness as he gently stroked her hair.
"Let's go home."
"Okay."
Aaron held Nora as they left the hospital and got into the car, letting her rest against him.
Though very tired, Nora was still too excited to sleep.
She casually scrolled through her phone.
Seeing her not sleeping, Aaron thought of something and asked, "Edric called me and mentioned something yesterday."
Nora paused and looked at him. "Did Edric complain about me again?"
Aaron smiled. "What's going on? Did you really arrange for Betsy to seduce Uncle Edward?"
Nora didn't deny it and responded with a sound.
Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Why didn't you tell me? Afraid I'd inform Edric?"
Nora glanced at him. "Would you?"
Aaron raised an eyebrow. "No."
Nora was very satisfied with Aaron's attitude, her eyes sparkling. "Aaron, don't you think I'm too bad?"
Aaron said, "You must have your reasons for doing this."
Being unconditionally trusted felt wonderful.
Nora hugged Aaron's waist and nuzzled against his shoulder affectionately.
"I didn't tell you because I didn't think it was necessary. I didn't want to distract you with such a trivial matter. Anyway, you said I could do whatever I wanted, and you'd handle the rest."
Nora's words filled Aaron with a sense of accomplishment.
He gently stroked Nora's silky black hair. "You remember my words well."
Nora pretended to be obedient. "Yes, am I good?"
Aaron's chest moved as he whispered in her ear, "If you could be this obedient at night, it would be even better."
Aaron's teasing words made Nora's face flush.
She pinched Aaron's arm and said, "Don't say such things!"
If she listened to Aaron and let him mess around at night, he wouldn't be the one exhausted; she would be!
Aaron chuckled, catching Nora's fair hand and playing with it, loving to see her shy and coquettish.
After a while of flirting, Aaron didn't forget the previous topic.
"Honey, how did you come up with the idea of using Betsy?"
Aaron remembered that Nora had gone to see Betsy at Caden's birthday party.
Aaron had asked Nora what she was doing.
Nora said she was talking business.
It seemed that Nora had already made a deal with Betsy back then.
"Just making use of waste." Nora's eyes sparkled.
She referred to Betsy as waste.
Aaron didn't comment and asked, "Was Betsy willing to be used by you?"
Nora leaned against him, playing with his long fingers.
"She had no choice. As long as I brought you into it, she had to listen to me."
Aaron laughed. "So you were using my power?"
Nora looked up at him, her eyes curved with a smile. "Yes, it's the simplest way to make her do as I said."
Her eyes were lively and enchanting. Aaron chuckled, pinching her perky nose.
"You little fox."
Nora was truly a wise person.
Aaron suddenly thought of the changes in Jeffery at home these past few days.
Aaron's brown eyes deepened. "Honey, besides having Betsy seduce Uncle Edward, did you do anything else?"
