Chapter 784 I'm Not Good to You
Aaron's handsome features exuded an alluring charm. Nora, emboldened by the alcohol, was bolder than usual. She smiled seductively. "Alright, let me train you properly tonight!"
Nora's slender fingers unbuttoned Aaron's shirt, revealing his well-developed chest muscles, which glistened enticingly under the light. Her fingers gently caressed his chest, moving down to his belt. She wasn't very skilled at unbuckling it, fumbling a bit.
Aaron's breathing grew heavier. He felt like he was torturing himself. Unable to endure the teasing, he flipped her over, pinning her beneath him. Nora blinked her beautiful eyes. "Why won't you let me continue?"
Aaron replied, "Forget it. I'll let you play after we're done." He wanted to enjoy himself first, then let Nora have her fun!
Meanwhile, Jenny, unable to drive due to drinking, took a cab back to her villa.
"Mrs. Bishop, you're back," Craig greeted her.
Jenny responded, changed her shoes, and asked anxiously, "Craig, how's Edric doing now?"
"He's resting in his room," Craig replied.
"Is he feeling any better?"
"A bit better."
"Alright, I'll go up then."
Watching Jenny go upstairs, Craig sighed in relief.
Sorry, Jenny, he lied. But he had no choice. He couldn't disobey Edric's orders.
Jenny reached the master bedroom on the third floor and gently pushed the door open. The room was dimly lit, with only a wall lamp on.
Edric lay on the bed with his eyes closed. Jenny quickly walked to the bedside and reached out to touch his forehead. "Honey, how are you..."
Before she could finish, Edric grabbed her wrist and pulled her onto the bed.
Jenny gasped, feeling a sudden loss of balance. When she realized it, she was already pinned under Edric. She opened her eyes and met Edric's smiling gaze. Jenny frowned. "Honey, are you okay?"
Edric chuckled. "Do you really want something to be wrong with your husband?"
Seeing his usual expression, Jenny suddenly understood. "You had Craig lie to get me home?"
Edric sighed, "Yes, I had no choice. Your best friend's husband, Aaron, ordered me to get you home tonight, or he'd cut ties with me tomorrow. What could I do?"
Jenny couldn't help but laugh. "Really?"
"You can ask Becky tomorrow if her husband called her away, too," Edric said, grinding his teeth. "That cold, unreasonable old man Aaron is probably cozying up with Nora in the suite you booked!"
Thinking about how much Aaron valued Nora, Jenny thought it made sense. She couldn't help but sigh, "Mr. Gordon is such a good husband."
Edric's eyes narrowed. "Honey, I think I heard a hint of envy. Am I not good to you?"
Jenny looked at Edric's devilishly handsome face. "You're alright."
He wasn't bad, but if Edric could handle family relations like Aaron, it would be perfect.
Aaron's mother, Jeffery, had many complaints about Nora, but Aaron could do as he pleased, completely ignoring Jeffery's opinions, unlike Edric.
"What do you mean 'alright'? Tell me, what else are you dissatisfied with?" Edric asked.
Jenny snapped back to reality, looking at Edric's slightly displeased handsome face, and said, "There are two things I'm not satisfied with."
"What two things?"
"One, your family background is too good. Two, your face is too handsome."
Edric, as the descendant of nobility, naturally wasn't happy hearing Jenny praise Aaron. But now, he chuckled softly, his slender fingers gently caressing Jenny's hair, sliding down teasingly.
"Honey, I'll take that as a compliment."
Jenny's body softened under Edric's teasing. She had been feeling a bit frustrated, but after laughing and joking with Nora, she was in a good mood. She raised her hand to hook around Edric's neck and kissed the corner of his lips.
"Yes, it's a compliment."
Edric chuckled softly, skillfully peeling off Jenny's clothes, revealing her fair, smooth skin. "Then tonight, take good care of your husband."
"Okay."
Jenny kissed Edric's attractive, thin lips, moving down to his chin, then to Adam's apple.
Edric's breathing grew heavier, feeling that Jenny was particularly proactive tonight.
He leaned down, eagerly kissing her red lips. As they entangled, the temperature in the room quickly rose.
Just then, the phone rang abruptly. They both paused.
"Hold on, Honey."
Edric, slightly breathless, reached for the phone on the bedside table. Seeing the caller ID, he frowned slightly. The call was from Fiona.
"Who's calling?"
Jenny saw his frown and had a bad feeling.
"It's Mom."
Edric sat up, leaning against the headboard as he answered the call. "Mom, what's up?"
"Edric, it's so late; why aren't you home yet?" Fiona's displeased voice came through the phone.
Edric glanced at Jenny lying beside him, gently stroking her hair. "I'm staying at my own house tonight."
"Edric, Ursula suffered such a big grievance today, and you don't come back to check on her?" Fiona said unhappily.
Edric frowned. "Mom, Ursula is just a guest who came with Yvette; she's not anyone special to me. You can take care of her."
Hearing this, Fiona was even more displeased. "What kind of talk is that? Is this how you treat guests? Tell me, is it Jenny who won't let you come back? Edric, you weren't like this before. How did you become so narrow-minded now?"
Edric's brow furrowed even tighter. "Mom, don't drag Jenny into this. She never stopped me from coming back. She even told me to visit Ursula Ford at the hospital today. I just didn't think it was necessary!"
Fiona angrily retorted, "How is it not necessary? Ursula is our guest. We took her out today, and she got hurt. Shouldn't you come back to check on her?"
Listening to Fiona's scolding, a trace of irritation flashed across Edric's face.
After a moment of silence, he said, "Mom, I know what you're thinking. Let me say it again: my wife will only be Jenny. Stop trying to push other women on me. That's it."
With that, he hung up.
Jenny, listening to Edric's words, should have felt happy. Edric was standing up to Fiona for her.
But thinking about Fiona, Jenny couldn't feel happy.
As long as she and Edric didn't divorce, Fiona would never cease in her attempts to find Edric another wife.
Jenny felt really frustrated.
