Chapter 925 Turn Him into an Unfaithful Subordinate
Johnnie was caught off guard and felt uneasy.
"You're amazing."
Gabriella smirked. "So, if we end up together and I have a conflict with Mr. Gordon, whose side would you take?"
Johnnie frowned. "Why would you have a conflict with Mr. Gordon?"
"I'm just picturing a scene."
Gabriella said, "I want to see how much you like me."
Johnnie paused and said, "Depends if it's business or personal. In business, I'd never betray Mr. Gordon."
Was Johnnie that loyal to Aaron?
Gabriella looked at Johnnie's handsome face, feeling challenged.
It reminded her of school days.
Turning a model student into a rebel gave Gabriella a special thrill.
"Johnnie, take the afternoon off and go shopping with me," Gabriella said with a smile.
"No, I have too much work," Johnnie refused.
"I'll call Mr. Gordon."
"No."
Gabriella suddenly leaned in and kissed him.
Her hand moved to his inner thigh under the table.
"Are you sure?"
Johnnie's breath hitched, and his face turned red.
He quickly grabbed her hand. "Stop it."
"If you don't want me to mess around, then listen to me."
Gabriella said, "I don't think Mr. Gordon is an unreasonable person. He's always affectionate with Mrs. Gordon; he can't expect you to be alone all the time, right?"
Johnnie thought of what Aaron and Nora had said about giving Frederick a break to find a girlfriend.
So he didn't argue further.
Gabriella smiled triumphantly.
Even if Johnnie was loyal, she could turn him into an unfaithful one with her skills!
Two days later, Zephyr's wine was finally ready.
He opened five containers, smelling the aroma, feeling anxious.
"Smells good, but how does it taste?"
Jane sniffed and said.
"Want to try?" Zephyr asked.
Jane raised an eyebrow. "Why don't you try it yourself? Scared?"
Zephyr glanced at her. "Officer Harvey, sometimes being too blunt isn't charming."
Jane laughed. "I'm your girlfriend now, I don't need to please you, right?"
Zephyr chuckled. "You're my girlfriend now, shouldn't you be the one pleasing me?"
Jane added, "So you like a fake me?"
Zephyr joked, easing his tension.
"Fine, if you won't try, I will."
"Let me do it. If there's poison, let your assistant test it first," Jane teased.
Zephyr laughed. "What poison? If you can't speak nicely, just say less."
"Yes, Mr. Wright, I'll speak less and do more from now on."
Jane teased, then took a spoonful to taste.
Zephyr watched her, growing more nervous.
"How does it taste?"
Seeing Jane frown, his heart tightened.
"Failed, tastes bad?"
Jane swallowed. "Not bad, just a bit bland."
Bland.
Zephyr tasted it himself.
Indeed, it tasted like plain water.
Something must have been missing during the preparation.
Zephyr's heart sank.
Jane saw his unhappy face and comforted him, "Don't worry, there are still four more."
She rinsed her mouth and started tasting the second container.
"How is it?" Zephyr asked expectantly.
"Very sweet."
This one was too sweet.
Zephyr tasted it and frowned.
Indeed, it was too sweet. Did he add too much sugar?
His heart sank further.
Zephyr looked at the remaining three containers and mustered his spirits, watching Jane taste the third one.
Jane raised an eyebrow. "This one's okay."
Zephyr's eyes lit up, and he quickly tasted it.
Indeed, this one was much better than the previous ones.
But to Zephyr, it still felt a bit ordinary.
If he took this wine to meet Finnegan, it probably wouldn't impress him.
"This one's a bit spicy."
Jane tasted the fourth container and commented.
Spicy!
This one was too spicy!
Zephyr didn't want to taste it anymore.
His eyes fell on the last container.
If the last one was either bland, sweet, or spicy, then his brewing attempt would be a failure!
Watching Jane take a spoonful and put it in her mouth, he stared at her red lips, holding his breath.
Jane's red lips moved, then she swallowed.
Zephyr watched her subtle expression, unable to guess the taste.
He cautiously asked, "How does this one taste?"
"Try it yourself."
Jane stepped back, making room.
Jane's expression suggested failure.
Zephyr's heart sank, losing the desire to taste it.
"Forget it, let's dump them all. I'll start over."
He turned to pour the first container into the trash.
Jane smirked, scooped a spoonful, and brought it to his mouth.
"Try it, I didn't say it was bad."
The cool sensation spread in his mouth.
Zephyr took a sip, and his eyes lit up.
This was the taste!
Sweet with a hint of spiciness.
A refreshing taste that made you want more!
He had succeeded!
Zephyr's eyes were full of excitement. He swallowed the wine and turned to hug Jane.
"Jane, I did it!"
Jane smiled, patting his back. "Yes, you did it. I knew you were the best."
Zephyr felt a surge of emotion at her praise.
He couldn't help but cup Jane's face and give her a heavy kiss.
Jane was stunned but didn't push him away. She closed her eyes, letting him deepen the kiss.
Until Zephyr's breathing grew heavy, Jane pushed him away, turning her head to avoid his kiss.
"Alright, it's time to get to work."
Zephyr held Jane, his mind filled with desire.
To him, making love to Jane was the real work now!
Of course, Zephyr still had some sense, knowing there were more important things to do.
Zephyr swallowed, took a deep breath, and let go of Jane.
"Help me bottle it."
Jane adjusted her clothes, touched his flushed ears, and smiled. "Aren't you going to bottle it yourself? It shows sincerity."
Zephyr turned his back to her, speaking stiffly, "You bottle it for me, same difference."
He wanted to bottle the wine himself.
But his body was too uncomfortable at the moment.
He needed to calm down first.
"Got it, Honey."
Jane took the prepared bottles and started filling them with the filtered wine.
"Alright, should we arrange a meeting with Finnegan?"
"Yes, I'll call him."
Jane watched Zephyr take out his phone, a spark of intrigue flickering in her eyes.
Hopefully, Finnegan hadn't made a deal with someone else yet.
At this moment, Finnegan was at the hospital having a meal with Mason.
Mason's health was no longer a major concern, but he was still weak, so he was ordered to stay in the hospital and not wander around.
"Finnegan, you've already found my savior. Why haven't you thanked them yet?"
