Chapter 861 Meeting Tomas

Nora smiled, "No, it's about time."

Gabriella teased, "I was just saying Mr. Gordon must've worn you out."

Nora, a bit embarrassed, adjusted her hair and changed the subject. "Did you get breakfast?"

"Yeah, I did. I stood in line for half an hour this morning to get it and brought it over. But Mr. Gordon wouldn't let me wake you up."

Gabriella looked regretful. "The specialty food here doesn't taste good cold, so Mr. Gordon and I finished it all."

Gabriella laughed heartily, like chatting with a close friend. Nora glanced at the remaining breakfast but didn't mind.

"Honey, go freshen up first," Aaron said, gently adjusting her hair.

"Okay, I'll go freshen up," Nora replied to Gabriella.

"Dr. Smith, I'll get you breakfast again tomorrow. Tonight, make sure Mr. Gordon doesn't keep you up late." Gabriella winked playfully.

Nora smiled and went to the bathroom. Gabriella watched her go, her smile fading. She turned to see Aaron making a call to Frederick, asking him to buy more food.

Gabriella's eyes flickered. When Aaron finished the call, she smiled, "Looks like I'm an uninvited guest today, taking up your time."

Aaron didn't respond. He opened the curtains and the window to let in some fresh air.

Seeing Aaron doing these chores, Gabriella said, "I didn't expect Mr. Gordon to be so considerate. Dr. Smith must be really good at managing her husband. I should spend more time with her and learn how she keeps a man so devoted."

Aaron stayed silent, sitting on the couch and looking at his computer. In front of others, he was always aloof unless discussing business.

Gabriella, feeling a bit awkward, stopped talking and sat on the couch, waiting for Nora. Soon, Nora finished freshening up and came out. Aaron closed his laptop and draped a coat over her shoulders.

"I opened the window. Be careful not to catch a cold."

Nora adjusted her clothes, nodded, and sat at the dining table. "Have you both eaten?"

Aaron poured her a cup of coffee. "I haven't had enough. I'll eat with you. Are you very hungry? I've asked Frederick to buy more food."

Nora glanced at the breakfast bag. "No need to buy more; there's still some left."

"It's already cold, don't eat it," Aaron said.

Gabriella interjected, "I should have come later. Look, the breakfast is wasted."

Nora touched the breakfast bag. "It's not that cold, still edible."

"I said it's cold, don't eat it." Aaron directly threw the breakfast bag into the trash.

Nora felt that Gabriella had good intentions and that not eating a bit would be ungrateful. But Aaron really didn't care about manners at all.

"Sorry, Gabriella, for wasting your effort," Nora apologized.

Gabriella waved her hand. "It's fine, it's fine. I just got to see you two being lovey-dovey again."

Nora couldn't help but laugh. Soon, Frederick brought more breakfast.

Nora invited Gabriella, "Would you like to eat some more?"

Gabriella said, "No, I'm full."

Nora smiled again, took the milk Aaron handed her, and started eating breakfast. Aaron joined her, continuing to eat. The aroma of food filled the space, and Aaron's gaze frequently fell on Nora, focused and gentle.

Gabriella watched the loving scene between the two, suppressing her emotions. "Well, you two enjoy your meal. I won't disturb you any longer. Mr. Gordon, let me know in advance when you're heading back to the base."

"Okay," Aaron responded indifferently.

"Dr. Smith, I'm leaving."

"Alright." Nora smiled slightly.

The door closed, and the two continued eating breakfast. Nora didn't think much about Gabriella and said, "Aaron, things are almost settled here. You should get back to your work."

Aaron glanced at her, a bit displeased. "Honey, are you in such a hurry to get rid of me?"

Nora laughed. "I don't want to affect your career."

There was a bit of milk on her lips. Aaron raised an eyebrow, leaned in slightly, and kissed the milk away from her lips. "I'd love for you to affect me."

Nora laughed and pushed him away. "Be serious, don't be so cheesy."

Aaron smirked, becoming more serious. "I'll leave after I meet Tomas."

Speaking of this, Nora remembered what Mateo said yesterday, that they would meet Tomas today. As expected, Tomas summoned them later that day.

In the afternoon, after Nora finished treatment for Hugo, a distinguished guest arrived at Hugo's house. Mateo and Tomas visited. Hugo was flattered and greeted them respectfully with everyone.

"I didn't know King Tomas and Prince Mateo were visiting; my apologies."

Tomas, with his blonde hair and blue eyes, exuded nobility. He waved his hand and sat on the main seat of the sofa under Hugo's respectful guidance. Mateo stood beside Tomas, his gaze falling on the downcast Nora, a soft light in his eyes.

Aaron noticed, his aura darkening slightly, and subtly moved to block Nora. Mateo and Aaron's gazes met, sparks flying.

"Mateo, I assume this is the miracle doctor Dr. Weaver who cured you?" Tomas spoke.

Mateo smiled slightly. "Yes, Dad."

Tomas nodded and looked at Aaron. "And the gentleman beside her is Dr. Smith's husband, the famous heir of the Gordon Group, Aaron?"

Although Mateo didn't like hearing others praise Aaron, he still nodded. Tomas nodded and greeted them in English.

"Dr. Smith, Mr. Gordon, welcome to Hchilia."

"Hello, King Tomas," they replied politely.

Tomas didn't put on airs, looking at Aaron with admiration. "Mr. Gordon's, you have truly lived up to your reputation as a yound and promising heir."

Aaron nodded slightly. "King Tomas, you flatter me. You are a brilliant strategist, a role model for me."

Compliments were always pleasant to hear, and Tomas's smile deepened. "Mr. Gordon, you really know how to talk. No wonder you're successful in both career and family."

Aaron smiled and glanced at Nora. "I'm lucky to have met my wife. Without her, I wouldn't be where I am today."

Aaron didn't hesitate to praise Nora; his love was evident in his eyes. Nora glanced at Aaron, feeling a bit uneasy. Aaron being affectionate at home was one thing, but he was showing off in front of Tomas! It was so embarrassing!
