Chapter 615 Is it just my overthinking again?

A hint of surprise flashed in Nora's eyes.

She said, "You're here. Didn't you say you'd come later?"

Aaron said with a smile, "I was afraid you'd be waiting anxiously, so I came early."

He was afraid she'd be waiting anxiously!

Nora looked at Aaron's handsom face and felt better inexplicably.

Could her heightened sensitivity be due to the onset of her menstrual cycle?

Aaron clearly loved her as he did before.

At this moment, the door opened from the inside.

When Samantha saw Aaron and Nora standing outside, her eyes lit up. She said, "Daddy, Mommy, are you here to listen to me sing?"

Nora came to her senses and smiled, saying, "Yes, you sing really well."

Samantha smiled happily, a proud expression on her face.

Nora walked in with a fruit plate and saw Margaret drinking water, saying, "Margaret."

"Ms. Smith, Mr. Gordon," Margaret said; she put down the cup of water and quickly got up to greet them.

"Are you tired? Have some fruit." Nora smiled and placed the fruit plate on the coffee table.

"Thank you, you're too kind." Margaret exchanged pleasantries and then glanced at Aaron.

Seeing Aaron staring at her, she smiled softly at him.

Aaron's gaze quickly swept over Margaret's figure, a hint of admiration in his eyes.

On the side, Samantha said something, but when Aaron ignored her, she looked up at him and said, "Daddy, I'm talking to you. Can you hear me?"

Aaron withdrew his gaze, glanced at Samantha, and said, "I'm listening."

Samantha blinked her big eyes, a hint of confusion in them.

Aaron seemed a bit distant today.

Normally, when he saw Samantha, Aaron would hug her first thing. But today, he didn't hug her.

"You two sit down; I'll have Samantha sing a song for you," Margaret said.

"Okay." Nora nodded and sat down on the sofa with Aaron.

Margaret exchanged a few words with Samantha, then sat at the piano and started playing.

Samantha stood beside her, listening to the accompaniment as she sang.

Samantha was singing a song she had learned at school instead of the classical singing she had just learned.

Nora listened to the melody, her gaze falling on Margaret.

Margaret's curly hair draped over her shoulders. Sitting upright, her slender fingers danced across the piano keys, radiating an artistic flair. She was a picture of beauty.

For some reason, Nora thought of Aaron asking her before how beautiful Margaret was.

Nora looked to the side subconsciously, wanting to make a joke with Aaron.

But as soon as she turned her head, she saw Aaron staring straight ahead.

Furrowing her brows, Nora wondered if she was overthinking again.

Aaron's current gaze was that of a man looking at a woman he wanted. A gaze with aggression, a desire to possess.

But Nora was still there; how could Aaron look at Margaret like that in front of her?

Perhaps sensing Aaron's gaze, he turned to look at her, asking, "What's wrong?"

Nora came to her senses, looking directly into Aaron's eyes.

Aaron's gaze was no different from usual.

She must be overthinking again.

"Nothing, I just wanted to ask you, is Margaret beautiful?" she asked.

At his words, Aaron nodded. "Yes, she is truly beautiful"

Aaron said Margaret was beautiful!

He was praising another woman's beauty in front of her!

Nora's heart sank. She felt a bit like a woman going through a transitional age, her emotions unstable.

She glared at Aaron, not feeling like talking.

Aaron smiled, leaning closer to Nora's ear and saying, "What's wrong? Are you jealous? I wasn't paying attention to her at all; I was just watching Samantha. Samantha sings really well; she'll definitely become a big star in the future."

Upon hearing this, Nora's eyes flickered.

So, Aaron was actually watching Samantha earlier.

She was overthinking again.

Aaron wasn't staring at Margaret.

She misunderstood him.

"Alright, ask your mother if she thought the singing was good just now?" Margaret said after finishing the song.

"Mommy, did I sing well?" Samantha ran over to Nora, her short legs taking quick steps.

Nora raised her thumb, saying, "You sang really well."

Samantha had a proud expression on her face once again.

Nora smiled, fed her a piece of fruit, then got up and walked to the piano. She said, "Margaret, have some fruit too."

"Thank you," Margaret said, took a small piece of pear, and put it in her mouth.

"Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom," Samantha ran over and said.

"Okay, I will take you," Nora said; she greeted Margaret and then took Samantha to the bathroom on the first floor.

After Samantha finished in the bathroom, she took her back to the music room.

Inside, there was only Margaret.

"Ms. Taylor, where's my daddy?" Samantha asked.

"Mr. Gordon has gone out, so let's continue the lesson," Margaret replied. She remained composed, with a hint of joy at the corner of her eyebrows.
