Chapter 344 Turns Out It's Edric's First Love

Evella Remington straightened her outfit and said to Nora, "Nora, you don’t need to say a thing, just follow my lead, okay?"

Nora had no idea what Evella was planning. With a resigned attitude, she nodded obediently and followed Evella Remington. Evella took her hand and confidently headed straight inside.

The two security guards scrutinized them, and not recognizing them, promptly blocked their way.
"What are you doing here?" one guard inquired.

Evella Remington stopped and protested, "Guys, don’t you recognize me? I’m the sister of the musician. I need to go in; I have some business with him."

The security guards exchanged glances, both were skeptical.
"Sorry, we haven’t been notified of any such visit. If you’d like to go in."
Hearing this, Evella Remington frowned and complained, "Oh, come on, why so much trouble? Don’t you believe me? Which security company are you from? I’ll be sure to mention this to my brother!"

Nora silently lowered her gaze and stood still, blending into the background.

"Sorry, but we have our rules. If you want to file a complaint, that’s your prerogative," one of the security officers responded.

Seeing they were unmoved, Evella Remington gave her eyes a roll and then took out her cell phone, pretending to place a call. "Hey, big brother, it’s your little sis! I’m trying to come in to see you, but the security guards won’t let me through!"

"Oh, you want them to talk to you on the phone?" With the phone pressed to her ear, Evella Remington turned to one of the guards and said, "My brother wants you to take the call"

The guard eagerly reached out to take the phone.

However, Evella took advantage of the moment, pushed past him, and dashed inside with Nora.
Nora was stunned.

Could this really work? Would they really be able to just storm into the backstage area?
As expected, such behavior was bound to fail.

One of the security guards recovered and grabbed Nora, who was closest.

Nora quickly let go of Evella Remington’s hand. "Evella, you go ahead,” she suggested.

Evella Remington paused, then clenched her teeth and said, "Okay, Nora, I’ll go on ahead!" She planned to ask her idol for an extra autograph once she caught up with him.

"Stop right there," the security officer commanded as he started after her.

Nora quickly stopped him, then swiftly pulled out a silver needle and jabbed it into an acupoint on his hand. The security guard felt a numbness in his arm, and suddenly he couldn't move it at all.

He halted in his tracks, staring at Nora with a look of astonishment on his face. "What did you just do to me?" he asked, anxiously.

Nora chuckled nervously, "Hey big guy, don't panic, I'm not a bad person, I just need your cooperation for a moment. Please stop chasing my friend."

The security guard was both shocked and angry, "Who the heck are you?"

"I'm a doctor who knows acupuncture," Nora grinned sheepishly.

Honestly, helping Evella, felt like her reputation as a master healer was at stake!

At that moment, another security guard saw what was happening and reached for his walkie-talkie to speak.

Startled, Nora decided to go all in, stepping quickly towards him, she found the right moment to strike an pressure point on his neck.

The security guard moved his mouth but couldn't make a sound. Clutching his neck, he looked at her with a face full of fear, as if she was some kind of monster.

Nora grinned awkwardly, "Don't worry, we really mean no harm. My friend just wanted to get inside to ask Flynt Cook for an autograph, we'll be right out." With that, she dashed backstage.

"Don't run, please help release us from the frozen pressure points!" the immobilized security guard called out.

As she ran, Nora looked back and said, "Sure, but you guys will have to wait a moment, okay?"

The two security guards, both startled and angry, chased after Nora.

Nora ran swiftly, losing them after a couple of turns. Breathless, she slowed her pace and spotted Evella Remington not far ahead, holding a notebook and pen in front of a man with devout reverence.

The man wore black earrings that glistened under the lights. He was dressed in trendy shiny black clothes and took the notebook from Evella Remington's hand to sign it. It seemed that this man was indeed the musician Flynt Cook.

Evella Remington's wish was fulfilled, she got the autograph.

Nora's effort hadn't been in vain, following her friend's wild plan. With a sigh of relief, Nora slowed down, feeling there was no need to go further. She decided to head back and make a proper apology to the two security guards.

Just as she turned, a woman’s voice came from a room nearby. "Edric, could you help me with this zipper?" the woman's soft said, coaxing voice was enough to make anyone’s heart flutter.

‘Edric?’ Nora paused mid-step as her curiosity piqued.

There was certainly a man and a woman in that room. If a woman asked a man to help with a zipper... what were they up to?

"Is that good?" came a man's voice from the room.

Nora paused, a hint of intrigue in her smile stalling for a moment on her face. That voice, why did it sound so familiar?

Edric! Could it be Edric?

A slight change passed over Nora’s expression as she pushed the door open.

Before her eyes was a woman who clung to a man's neck, leaning in as if to kiss him. Nora focused on the man's side profile, her demeanor growing instantly colder.

It was indeed Edric in the room! He was messing around with someone else behind Jenny's back!

Edric, hearing the noise, turned his head and saw Nora. In a panic, he pushed away the woman clinging to him. "Nora!" he called out to Nora.

Nora's pretty face remained cool as she stepped forward and said, "Mr. Hawk, living it up, I see!" Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

Edric hadn't anticipated running into Nora here. Thinking of the scene just moments ago, sweat beaded on his forehead.

"Doctor Smith, you're misunderstanding, it's not what you think," Edric denied as he tried to explain.

This was bad. Nora and Jenny were best friends. If Nora didn't believe him and told Jenny, he was going to be in trouble!

Nora let out a mocking laugh, "Misunderstanding? If I'd come a bit later, you two would be kissing!"

Edric swallowed hard, trying his best to explain. "It's not like that, Doctor Smith. Listen, I was here to ask Anna Scott for a favor. Her zipper was stuck, and I was just helping her with it."

Sue had been facing away from him initially. After he had zipped it up for her, she suddenly turned around. He was caught off guard and about to step back when Nora walked in.

"Do you think I'd believe that?" Nora looked at him, her eyes full of sarcasm, clearly not trusting a word he said.

"Miss, you are mistaken. I may be Edric's first love, but there's nothing between us," Anna Scott suddenly interjected. Her words seemed explanatory but also boasted something more.

So, this woman was Edric's first love? Were they planning on getting back together? Nora studied Anna Scott closely, her almond eyes narrowing slightly.

The woman sported large wavy tresses, a face that was like a melon seed, and captivatingly seductive eyes and brows.

She seemed strikingly familiar. Where had she seen her before?

Just then, an abrupt ringtone broke the stillness of the room. Nora pulled out her phone and glanced at it. It was Aaron calling.

"Nora, I'm here, where are you?" he asked.
