Chapter 876 A Master

Nora was curious about what Gabriella had come to return to Aaron.

When she heard Gabriella had hugged Aaron while drunk, Nora's eyes flickered, and she instinctively glanced at Gabriella.

Gabriella, smiling, handed a cufflink to Aaron. She looked completely at ease, without a hint of awkwardness.

Nora pursed her lips, smoothed her hair, and said nothing.

Aaron took the cufflink and said, "Just this? I threw away that suit. You didn't need to make a trip."

Gabriella laughed. "Oh, returning the cufflink is just an excuse. I mainly wanted to see Dr. Smith and took the opportunity to come over."

Gabriella walked over to Nora with a smile and linked arms with her. Nora smiled back, though she didn't really like getting too close to people she wasn't familiar with. But she didn't say anything.

At that moment, Mateo came out.

"Nora, you have a guest?"

"Yes."

Nora took the opportunity to pull her hand away from Gabriella.

"Gabriella, let me introduce you. This is Prince Mateo. Prince Mateo, this is Gabriella, a collaborator with Aaron."

Gabriella looked at Mateo, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes, and she quickly bowed respectfully.

"Prince Mateo, nice to meet you."

Mateo raised an eyebrow and said, "So it's not Nora's guest visiting, but Mr. Gordon's guest?" He said it with a meaningful tone.

Aaron glanced at Mateo and said, "My guest is also Nora's guest."

Gabriella chimed in, "Yes, I hit it off with Dr. Smith right away. This time I came specifically to see Dr. Smith."

"I see."

Mateo looked at Gabriella, his smile deepening.

After the greetings, Nora said, "Gabriella, are you tired? If not, I can walk you around here."

"Sure, I'd love that." Gabriella agreed happily.

"Nora, it's my time for a walk too. Let's go together," Mateo said.

"Suit yourself," Nora replied, then walked around Whispering Woods Resort with Gabriella. Aaron naturally joined them, and Frederick was also with them.

When Mateo tried to get close to Nora, Frederick firmly blocked him, not letting him get close at all. Mateo was speechless. Like boss, like subordinate. They surrounded Nora completely, leaving no crevice unattended, making it impossible for anyone to take advantage.

Watching Gabriella chatting enthusiastically with Nora, a hint of interest flashed in Mateo's eyes. He thought, 'This Gabriella is Aaron's collaborator. Is that all?'

Night fell. Since Gabriella was here, she naturally stayed. Aisha prepared a guest room for her.

After washing up, Gabriella went downstairs for a drink and ran into Mateo, who lived on the first floor.

"Prince Mateo, not asleep yet?" Gabriella greeted Mateo with a smile.

"Yes."

Mateo watched her get water, hands in his pockets, and slowly followed.

"Ms. Costa, you like Mr. Gordon, right?"

Gabriella's hand paused while pouring water, then she smiled. "Prince Mateo, you shouldn't say such things. It would harm my friendship with Dr. Smith."

Mateo chuckled. "No one's around now, you don't have to hide it. I saw the light in your eyes, the same light as mine."

Gabriella held her cup, raising an eyebrow. "So, you like Dr. Smith?"

Mateo replied, "Yes, it was love at first sight. What about you?"

Gabriella took a sip of water, her eyes flickering. This Mateo was very cunning; she almost fell into his trap.

"Mr. Gordon is charming,. but I respect him more than like him. He's great at business, and as his partner, having a good relationship with him means I can make more money."

Mateo stared at Gabriella, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes. He thought, 'She doesn't fall for it! Her words are flawless. It seems this Gabriella is a formidable character. Nora has a rival! How exciting!'

"Then I wish you prosperous business."

"Thank you, and I wish you get what you want."

Gabriella wishing him get what he wanted? Mateo's interest deepened. What he wanted most was to be with Nora. Gabriella was subtly encouraging him to win Nora over. Gabriella was truly skilled.

In a guest room on the third floor, a session of lovemaking had just ended. Nora's hair was damp with sweat, and her brows and eyes exuded a post-coital charm. Aaron kissed the corner of her lips, his eyes full of tenderness.

"Honey, you seemed a bit distracted just now?"

Once was never enough for Aaron, so he kissed her while continuing to tease. Nora pressed down his wandering hand. "You're so annoying. I'm tired."

Aaron looked up, staring at her. "What's wrong, unhappy?"

Nora turned her head away. "No, it's just that you tire me out every day. I'm tired even if you're not."

Aaron was silent for a moment, then smiled. "Alright, I won't tire you out today. I'll carry you to wash up."

Saying this, he got out of bed and carried her in his arms. Nora wrapped her arms around his neck, tilting her head to look at him.

"Why are you so agreeable today? Feeling guilty?"

Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Guilty about what, the cufflink thing?"

Nora didn't respond, her eyes flickering. Aaron carried Nora into the bathroom, placed her on the sink, and wrapped her in a towel, his eyes smiling.

"Honey, are you jealous because she hugged me while drunk?"

A hint of discomfort flashed in Nora's eyes, and she denied it. "No."

Aaron chuckled, lifting her chin to kiss her. "Honey, why do I love seeing you jealous?"

Nora pulled his hand away, not being coy. "Then you can let more women hug you."

Aaron smiled and smoothed her hair. "Honey, don't be jealous. Johnnie was there too. You can ask him about it. Gabriella was drunk and out of it. She did hug me, but I immediately had Johnnie pull her away."

"When Johnnie pulled her, she threw up all over me. I threw the clothes away as soon as I got back. So I'm still clean, still your loyal husband."

Nora couldn't help but laugh. She trusted Aaron, but hearing that Gabriella had hugged him naturally made her a bit uncomfortable.

"Alright, let me wash up quickly."

"Not angry anymore?" Aaron asked.

"When was I angry?"

"Right, you weren't angry."

Aaron understood, women always said one thing and meant another!

Two days later, Johnnie received news from back home.

"Mr. Gordon, there's trouble at the company. You need to go back immediately."

Johnnie hurried to report to Aaron.

"What happened?"

"A subsidiary's warehouse caught fire in the middle of the night, and a large amount of our materials were burned."

Aaron frowned and asked, "Any casualties?"

"Yes."

Johnnie reported truthfully, "The warehouse guard was injured trying to put out the fire and is currently in a coma. Several other employees who came to help are suffering from varying degrees of burns. The relevant departments are waiting for you to return and resolve the issue."
