Chapter 854 Matchmaking
Nora gave these instructions and glanced at the time.
"Mr. Rochet, Mrs. Rochet, I have something to do; I need to go out for a bit."
She needed to check on Florence and continue treating her.
Aaron understood and got up to accompany her.
Aisha was a bit surprised, asking, "Dr. Smith, do you need any help with what you're doing?"
"No need. I have a patient to see," Nora explained with a smile.
Aisha breathed a sigh of relief. "I see, anyone who meets Dr. Smith is lucky."
Nora smiled and prepared to leave.
Millie, who was playing, saw the two about to leave and ran over anxiously.
"Mommy, Daddy, are you leaving?"
Nora patted her little head and replied, "No, I am going out to see a patient."
Millie seemed a bit scared that Nora was lying to her.
"You'll come back after seeing the patient, right?"
"Yes."
"Then let's make a promise."
Nora laughed and made a promise to her.
Millie was happy and ran off to play again.
Aaron looked at James and said, "We're going out for a bit."
James nodded slightly, understanding everything without words.
The two left the villa and got into Frederick's car.
Nora asked, "Aaron, don't you think James is acting a bit strange?"
Aaron knew but pretended not to.
"How is he acting strange?"
"It's odd, isn't it? He was always so adamant about taking Millie away, and now he wants to stay? I wonder what prompted such a change of heart." Nora was curious.
Aaron raised an eyebrow and said, "What do you think?"
Nora glanced at him, seeing his mysterious look, and blinked.
"Aaron, did you say something to him?"
Aaron smiled and lightly tapped her nose, full of affection.
"My honey is so smart."
"Tell me, what did you say to him?"
Nora wasn't in the mood for jokes and asked quickly.
Aaron said, "I told him that if he wants to take Millie away, he should make Jasmine fall in love with him."
Nora's eyes widened in surprise. "Did you really say that?"
"Yes."
Nora blinked, thinking of James's behavior when Hugo was criticizing Jasmine earlier, and suddenly understood.
"No wonder James seemed to be defending Jasmine intentionally or unintentionally. Was it on purpose?"
Aaron smiled and said, "James is very smart. He might win Jasmine's heart soon. Then, when he wants to take Millie away, Jasmine will probably go with him."
Nora understood. "So when men play mind games, it's really scary."
It was hard to tell their true intentions.
"Are you afraid of me?"
Aaron turned her head towards him and raised an eyebrow.
Nora glanced at him and said, "Can you not always relate everything to yourself?"
Aaron chuckled and replied, "Honey, it's not that I want to relate everything to myself; it's because I care about you, so every word you say makes me think of us."
His voice was gentle and full of love.
Nora felt that Aaron could be so sweet sometimes that it was unbearable.
She raised her hand to pinch Aaron's face and coaxed, "You're not scary; you're adorable, okay, Honey!"
Her words pleased Aaron.
Aaron's brown eyes sparkled with laughter, and he kissed her on the corner of her lips. "Got it, Honey."
The two were being affectionate in the back seat, while Frederick, in the driver's seat, was used to it and acted as if he were deaf and mute.
After kissing Nora for a while, Aaron thought of a big problem.
"Honey, does Hugo's body really need one or two years of treatment?"
Hearing this, Nora's expression became serious. "Yes, even if everything goes well, it will take that long."
Aaron frowned slightly, looking at her delicate face. "Then you'll have to stay here for one or two years?"
Nora said, "He doesn't need treatment every day. I can travel between Hchilia and our home."
Aaron's frown didn't relax, asking, "Isn't that tiring and troublesome?"
Nora shrugged and replied, "There's no other way. We need Hugo to agree to give up custody of Millie."
Aaron held her without saying a word.
Nora glanced at him and asked, "Aaron, don't you want to take Millie back?"
Aaron shook his head. "Of course not. If I didn't want to take Millie back, I wouldn't have told James to get close to Jasmine. Honey, I'm just worried about you."
And also worried that someone might take Nora away.
Nora didn't know Aaron's thoughts, but she felt warm inside.
"Alright, I'm still young; I'm a little tired, which is nothing. Besides, treating Hugo won't be that exhausting; the most troublesome part is just the flights."
Aaron played with her smooth little hand, deep in thought.
"I'm thinking, can we find someone to replace you for Hugo's treatment?"
Nora blinked and said, "That might be difficult. After all, I'm a famous doctor. My medical skills aren't something an ordinary doctor can match."
She was full of pride, and Aaron chuckled, pinching her pretty face.
"I know you're amazing, Dr. Smith. Shouldn't you find a student? With a student, your medical skills won't be lost."
Nora looked up at him and said, "I get it. You want me to take on a student, and once the student is trained, they can stay and treat Hugo."
Aaron smiled and kissed her on the corner of her lips.
"As expected of my wife, so smart."
Nora glared at him and added, "Stop flattering me. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication from both the teacher and the student to achieve true mastery. It's a challenging task."
Aaron was silent for a moment, then said, "What if the person has a foundation? Would they learn faster?"
Nora knew Aaron too well.
"Aaron, do you have someone in mind?"
"Yes."
"Who?"
"Seraphina."
Nora was stunned, a light flashing in her eyes.
She thought, 'Yes, Seraphina would indeed be a good student.'
'She knows medicine and is eager to learn.'
'If it were her, she should learn quickly.'
"Aaron, you're really something. How did you think of that?"
Nora smiled and playfully hit him.
Aaron said, "Because I'm a schemer."
Nora laughed and teased, "No. It was because you're a cunning fox."
As they were being joking around, Nora thought of something and asked, "Aaron, do you really want Seraphina to learn medical skills from me?"
"Yes."
"If she learns, she might have to stay here for over a year. Wouldn't she be too lonely in a foreign country?" Nora said.
Aaron raised an eyebrow, immediately understanding her meaning.
"You mean to bring Noe over, too?"
Nora nodded and said, "Yes, let's pair them up."
