Chapter 846 Who Said You Can't Have Children

Nora said, "James, to Emmeline, Stov is her enemy, but to Millie, he is her father. Blood ties bind Millie to these people, whether we like it or not."

James looked at her, his eyes gradually turning red.

He suddenly stood up and said, "Dr. Smith, Mr. Gordon, are you saying there's nothing we can do? I can't accept that. If you truly see no path forward, then... then I'll find one myself. I have to, for Millie."

Aaron's face darkened. He looked at the departing James and spoke more sternly, "Sit down and talk properly. We never said we wouldn't try. Acting stubbornly won't solve anything."

After being scolded by Aaron, James's agitated expression softened a bit.

He stopped in his tracks and apologized, "Sorry, I got emotional just now. I didn't mean anything by it."

Seeing his distressed expression, Aaron's tone also softened.

"James, I understand your feelings for Emmeline. I was there when she passed away. She died in your arms. I understand. You want what's best for Millie. You don't want her to be let down, and you certainly don't want her growing up in this environment."

Hearing this, James's eyes reddened again.

Emmeline had gone. He couldn't bear to let her down anymore. He had to take good care of Emmeline's daughter!

Aaron stood up, walked to James's side, and patted his shoulder in silent comfort.

"We understand your concern for Emmeline, but please know Millie's well-being is paramount to us, too. We're her parents, and we won't fail her. We'll find a way to make things right."

Aaron's steady tone was convincing.

James steadied his emotions and nodded.

"Thank you."

Aaron patted his shoulder and said, "Sit down."

At this moment, his phone received a message.

Aaron glanced at it, raised an eyebrow, and handed the phone to Nora.

Nora was curious about what he wanted to show her.

It turned out to be a message from Gabriella.

She said she went to see Hugo.

Gabriella was quite concerned about this matter.

Nora smiled and said, "Thank her for me."

"You reply for me," Aaron said.

Nora didn't waste words and replied with two words.

Nora: [Thank you]

Soon, Gabriella sent an emoji.

She seemed to have a lively personality.

Nora smiled and put the phone aside.

They sat in the room for a while. Around nine A.M, James received a message from Ellie saying that Aisha had already left for the hospital.

James quickly shared this news with Aaron and Nora.

"Let's head out, too," Aaron said.

"Okay."

Thy left and went to the hospital together.

In the parking lot, Nora said, "You guys wait in the car. I'll take Frederick up to find her."

In case of scaring Aisha, Nora decided to go alone.

"I'll go with you," Aaron and James spoke in unison.

Nora chuckled and said, "How about you two go find her, and I'll wait in the car?"

Aaron said, "I don't feel comfortable with you going alone. James, you stay in the car with Frederick and wait for us."

He was worried about Nora.

James was anxious but knew that being impatient wouldn't help, so he nodded.

"Alright."

With the consensus reached, Nora had nothing more to say.

"Let's go, bodyguard."

Aaron raised an eyebrow, seemingly satisfied with the new title.

The two got out of the car and entered the hospital.

Ellie had sent James a photo of Aisha, so Nora knew what she looked like.

After waiting for a while, she saw Aisha approaching with a maid.

A bodyguard followed behind them.

"Is that her?" Aaron asked.

"Yes, that's her."

Nora took a deep breath and approached.

"Excuse me, are you Mrs. Rochet?"

Aisha was taken aback and asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm Millie's mom."

The smile on Aisha's face faded slightly, asking, "Is there something you need?"

Nora said, "Mrs. Rochet, can we find a place to sit and talk?"

"Sorry, I don't have time."

Aisha directly refused, then politely nodded and prepared to leave.

Nora said, "Mrs. Rochet, don't you want to have a child of your own?"

Hearing this, Aisha paused, her fingers tightening.

She slowly turned to look at Nora and said, "What do you mean?"

Nora said, "Mrs. Rochet, have you heard of the famous Dr. Weaver?"

Aisha stared at her and said, "Yes."

"I am Dr. Weaver."

Aisha's gaze locked onto her, saying, "You're Dr.Weaver? Are you saying you can help me have my own child?"

Nora didn't answer directly but asked, "Can we sit down and talk now?"

Aisha was silent for a moment. "Alright."

She agreed.

Nora secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, the reputation of Dr. Weaver helped her. Otherwise, she wouldn't know how to keep Aisha.

Nora instinctively glanced at Aaron.

Aaron smiled, giving her an approving look.

The three of them didn't leave the hospital but found a stone bench in the garden behind the hospital to sit down.

"Dr. Weaver, can you really help me have my own child?"

As soon as they sat down, Aisha couldn't wait to ask.

"Give me your hand, and I'll check your pulse first," Nora said.

Aisha had a miscarriage before, and the outcome could be serious or trivial.

As long as it wasn't a major issue, she could generally conceive again.

But it couldn't be generalized, so she had to diagnose it first.

Nora checked Aisha's pulse, then looked at her tongue and asked her a few questions.

Aisha was a bit nervous. After answering Nora's questions, she quickly asked, "How is it? Can I still have my own child?"

Nora withdrew her hand and asked, "Who told you that you couldn't conceive again?"

Aisha twisted her fingers, looking a bit sad.

"Although the doctor didn't say it explicitly, after my miscarriage, the doctor said my uterus was severely damaged, and it would be difficult to conceive again. Since then, I haven't been able to get pregnant, so doesn't that mean I can't have children anymore?"

After listening, Nora said, "Rest assured. Although you had a miscarriage and there are some minor issues, it's not a big deal. You can still conceive."

Aisha's eyes lit up, her expression a bit excited.

"Dr. Weaver, you're not lying to me, are you?"

Nora said, "If I were lying to you, I wouldn't deserve my title as a famous doctor."

Aisha was very excited but then shook her head, thinking of something.

"No, if my uterus isn't a big problem, why haven't I been able to get pregnant?"

Nora looked at her and tentatively asked, "Have you and your husband been intimate regularly?"

Aisha's face showed a hint of embarrassment. She nodded, deciding to be frank.

"To get pregnant, I've tried all kinds of medicine. In bed with Hugo, I've tried every position to make it easier to conceive, but I've failed every time. Over the years, I haven't been able to get pregnant again."
