Chapter 474 Why Was He Staring at Nora?

Aaron instinctively turned around and saw a tall man holding a three- or four-year-old girl standing not far away. They were both staring in their direction. Aaron's feeling was not wrong; someone was indeed watching them.

Aaron narrowed his eyes, realizing that the man wasn't looking at him but Nora, who was standing on the other side. Aaron wondered, 'Is he looking at Nora?'

The man locked eyes with Aaron. Although they were far apart, experienced Aaron immediately noticed that this man was not an ordinary person. He exuded a similar aura of power to Aaron.

Aaron thought, 'Does he know Nora?'

"Aaron, what's wrong?" Nora turned around and saw Aaron stopping in his tracks, so she curiously asked.

"Nothing," Aaron replied.

By now, the man had picked up the little girl beside him and turned to leave. The little girl was still looking in their direction, lying on his shoulder.

Nora followed his gaze and made eye contact with the girl.

"Aaron, were you just looking at that little girl? Do you know her parents?" Nora asked curiously.

"I don't know," Aaron remained silent for a moment, then said, "Do you know that little girl?"

He wondered, 'Is this man Nora's classmate at the Youston Kindergarten? ' He knew Nora, which is why he kept staring at her.

Nora thought for a moment and shook her head. "I haven't seen him before," she replied.

Aaron thought, 'Is that so? Then why is that man continuously staring at Nora? Could it be because Nora is beautiful?'

The thought crossed his mind, and Aaron couldn't help but glance at Nora. He suddenly had the urge to wrap a headscarf around Nora's beautiful face.

He really didn't want others to see her beauty!

Nora had no idea what Aaron was thinking. This little incident quickly passed.

The three of them got into the car. Noe was handling the discharge procedures, so Frederick was driving.

Aaron told him to drive directly to Charles's house.

Frederick agreed and started the car.

Charles was on the verge of bankruptcy and had mortgaged his villa. After his funeral, the bank would repossess his house.

Nora didn't sympathize with him. She just hoped that Carter would be able to get over the pain of losing his son quickly after tonight.

The car quickly arrived at the Smith's mansion.

Nora said, "Grandma, let Frederick help you inside. I won't go in."

She would never forgive Charles, thus, she wouldn't attend his funeral either.

Carter understood and got out of the car, with Frederick assisting her into the mansion.

Watching Carter's slightly hunched figure, Nora let out a sigh.

It would be difficult for a mother to attend her son's funeral.

Aaron hugged her without saying a word. He just kissed her hair, comforting her.

Smelling Aaron's pleasant scent, Nora thought of something and turned her head to look at him.

"Mrs. Woodhouse told me that Olivia had an accident yesterday. Do you know about it?" Nora informed.

Aaron was taken aback, "I don't know. What happened to her?"

"Mrs. Woodhouse doesn't know either. She only knows that Arthur borrowed the Woodhouse family's private plane at night. He rushed to Houston," Nora explained.

Aaron stroked her small hand, and asked, "Did something happen to Olivia after I left?"

Nora looked at him inquisitively, "What time did you leave? What happened to her? Was she in a car accident?"

Aaron glanced at her and replied, "I'll go ask Noe about it."

"No need; she's just an insignificant person. We don't need to care about her," Nora said. She was just bored.

"Well, you're right. Is there any other news?" Aaron asked.

Aaron naturally didn't pay much attention to Olivia either.

Seeing Aaron’s curiosity, Nora wanted to satisfy him.

"Today, Chloe asked me to substitute for her treatment. I think she's recovering soon," Nora shared.

Thinking of Chloe, Nora, and Aaron discussed her.

Aaron agreed, "That's good news."

"Well, I feel like she's recovering. She should get a divorce," Nora said.

Aaron looked at her, and remarked, "You seem to really want her to divorce Arthur."

Nora replied, "Yeah, I don't like him."

Whenever Nora thought of Arthur, she couldn't help but think of Olivia. She also disgusted her.

"Indeed," Aaron completely agreed with Nora.

Just as they were talking, Becky and Lucas came out of the mansion.

They were all dressed in black clothes, their eyes red. It was obvious that they had been crying.

Carter probably told Becky and Lucas that she and Aaron were outside, so they came out to see Nora.

"I'll be right back," she said. Nora opened the car door, ready to get out.

Aaron quickly grabbed her, and advised, "Put on your clothes properly before getting out of the car."

He helped her zip up her coat and put on her hat.

Nora found it funny. She could imagine she looked like a big bear.

Someone knocked on the car window. Nora asked, "Can I get out now?"

Aaron said, "It's cold outside. Don't talk for too long. Get back in the car quickly."

"I know," she replied. Nora quickly opened the car door.

The heater inside the car was on full blast. If he didn't let her get out of the car soon, she would feel hot.

Once she got out of the car, Aaron rolled down the car window.

Outside.

Becky and Lucas greeted Nora, and Nora nodded at Lucas and then hugged Becky.

"I'm sorry," Becky's eyes welled up with tears as she hugged Nora tightly, she apologized.

Lucas stood by, watching them speak softly. He slightly nodded his head and greeted Aaron in the car.

"Aaron," Aaron nodded slightly and didn't say anything.

Aaron thought, 'Lucas was accompanying Becky to handle Charles's funeral. It seems like their relationship has improved. They made substantial progress last night.'

"Aren't you going in?" Becky sniffled and asked Nora.

"I'm not going in," Nora said.

Becky nodded, understanding Nora.

"It's cold outside. You should go in quickly," Nora said.

Becky replied, "Okay."

"You should go back now," she said. Nora gestured for them to go back.

Lucas and Becky greeted Aaron, saying, "Aaron, we'll go in first."

Aaron replied, "Okay."

Lucas looked at Becky, put his arm around her waist, and said, "Let's go."

"I can walk by myself," Becky said as she shook off his hand and turned to leave. However, she turned too quickly and slipped, almost falling.

Lucas frowned and held onto her again.

Witnessing this scene, Nora observed them, thinking about a lot of things.

'Now, Becky doesn't like Lucas, but Lucas is pursuing Becky. The situation is completely reversed!' Nora thought.
